Coming from a Small Well Adjusted Family they fascinate me. I like to play them brutally straight when I can fit them in.

Everyone on this forum, it seems, likes playing with their tropes. However, Tropes Are Tools: playing them entirely straight, without any twists of any kind, is just fine in itself, something that we seem to miss sometimes (as certain pages can tell you). So, this thread is here to ask, what tropes have you played straight in your works lately?
Try not to list Omnipresent Tropes like Conflict, please.
