Bowser: villain with eight children, seven boys and one girl

Gaddafi: villain with eight children, seven boys and one girl

The natural course of action upon realizing this: Match each Koopaling (plus Bowser Jr., if you don't count him as a Koopaling) to each child of Muammar al-Gaddafi.

Who goes with whom?

Here's some background info for you to make your own list:

Super Mario Bros. 3, believed to be in order of youngest to oldest by Mario Wiki:

  1. Larry (Grass Land)
  2. Morton (Desert Hill)
  3. Wendy (Ocean Side)
  4. Iggy (Big Island)
  5. Roy (The Sky)
  6. Lemmy (Iced Land)
  7. Ludwig (Pipe Maze)

Super Mario World

  1. Iggy (Yoshi's Island, rocking boat)
  2. Morton (Donut Plains, enclosed arena)
  3. Lemmy (Vanilla Dome, pipe battle))
  4. Ludwig (Twin Bridges, open arena)
  5. Roy (Forest of Illusion, enclosed arena)
  6. Wendy (Chocolate Island, pipe battle with podoboos)
  7. Larry (Valley of Bowser, rocking boat with podoboos)

Brief profile, derived from the Mario Wiki's page on the Koopalings:

  • Larry - cheater, wannabe jock
  • Morton - cantankerous
  • Wendy - spoiled brat, temper tantrums
  • Iggy - demented mechanical genius
  • Roy - bully, wears pink, calm
  • Lemmy - clownish, would rather play around than fight Mario
  • Ludwig - arrogant, leader
  • [[http://www.mariowiki.com/Bowser_Jr. Bowser Jr.]] - follows in father's footsteps

Muammar al-Gaddafi's children (first seven are sons oldest to youngest, last one is daughter)

  • Muhammad - ran the Libyan Olympic Committee, chairman of cell/satellite company
  • Saif al-Islam - politician, part-time spokesperson for regime, architect by training, possible successor (and probably the smoothest of the Gaddafilings)
  • (Al-)Saadi - wannabe athlete, team owner, [[possible mastermind of the switch to technicals]]
  • (Al-)Mu'tasim-Billah/Moatessem-Billal - Lt. Col., nat'l security advsior, diplomat, possible successor
  • Hannibal - jackass with trail of issues in Europe, former oil company employee
  • Saif al-Arab - appointed military commander, may have defected, may be deceased
  • Khamis - commander of Khamis Brigade
  • Ayesha - lawyer on defense teams for Saddam Hussein and Muntadar al-Zaidi (journalist who threw shoes at Bush)

Got ideas?

I'd rather not compare a Real Life Complete Monster with a cartoonish Affably Evil Benevolent Boss

Hey, one of the best ways to subvert evil is to ridicule it. I'm sure it'd bring a laugh to any rebels who might have played some SMB...

Final Fantasy, Foreign Policy, and Bollywood. Helluva combo, that...

I don't think killing someone whole's family and family's family counts as anything less than evil.

What was that quote by Mel Brooks? One should make a mockery of dictators, so that nobody can ever take them seriously?

Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.
