So how old will Ezio be during this game anyway? He was about 50 at the end of Brotherhood and I'm honestly entertained by the idea of hoping around rooftops as a Badass Grandpa.
Needs CaffeineWait, JAF said the game takes place in 1459. That's the year of Ezio's BIRTH. WTF?
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.No one said it's the year of the game's events. It was just a glimpse in the teasers and JAF made a false assumption.
Ezio's hair is looking pretty damn grey on the GI cover, so I'll take a guess he's about 60. I'm pretty sure the game will start from where Brotherhood ended though (when he deposits the Apple in the temple), so he'll be 50 at the start.
I guess something makes him leave Rome between 1503 and 1507, as Claudia remarks he's back in town when he meets her in the DLC. Might be the span of years (or at least one of them) the game will take place in. 1507 is also the year when Ezio finally gets Cesare, so the game will have to also take place past that point.
Speaking of Brotherhood, I've been locked out of Scooby Gang's e-mail accounts since sequence 7. Is this normal? I remember reading through their e-mails even at that point in my previous playthrough so this is hella weird.

Is it me or does Ezio look like Al Mualim with the grey facial hair.
Disclaimer: If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared to not only retract it, but also to deny under oath I ever said it."Wait, JAF said the game takes place in 1459."
I said the clue said 1459 with the Ottoman Empire in the background.
Jonah Falcon@Litis: iirc sequence 7 is almost at the end and is basically Ezio doing mission after mission to the end of his story. But just describe what's happening (in spoiler tags I guess) so that I can tell whether it's a glitch or not.
@Revelations, I was initially against the idea of going back to Ezio but I guess when I look at it as 2, Brotherhood and Revelations as a trilogy then it's a lot more interesting. Ezio as a badass grandpa should be really cool and hey this is the chance to see Altair the crazy badass who never got hit once again. Hopefully a) they give him more of a personality than in AC 1 (his warrior poet attititude in the codex pages of 2 was really interesting) and b) he has the original sync meter from 1 where getting hit makes Desmond lose sync so that we can still say that Altair was never hit at all in his life and continue the badass wmg.
Also please please please don't make PC gamers wait another 6 freaking months to get the PC port.

Fridge Brilliance: Now we know why Ezio was complaining of aches and pains in Brotherhood.
Jonah FalconWhy?
Disclaimer: If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared to not only retract it, but also to deny under oath I ever said it.Hey wait a sec...just how old is Ezio going to get before he actually has a child?
Knowing how he acted throughout his earlier years; he could have had kids already.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Yeah but not the kid that became Desmond's ancestor or else Desmond wouldn't have access to these memories. Although I guess Ezio having kids into his 60s-70s (unless the timeline just stops at his 50s) shouldn't completely surprise me.
As with Skyrim, GI are getting to reveal pretty much everything about the game. There's an interview about the multiplayer and an interview with the creative director.
They made their video player suck less, even though there's still no quality toggle for some reason and I'm forced to watch the videos in fugly lo-fi, so yeah.

According to the fan wiki, Ezio is 52 by the time of Revealations.
Damn, look out Old Snake, you got competition for best Badass Grandpa protagonist in gaming.
Also, something I noticed thats a tad interesting. Early articles of the game have been saying that the game will take place in Constantinople, even though the parts with Ezio are in the 1500's. That is, unless they're referring to a certain someone else with a penchant for white...

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.According to GameInformer, Ezio will meet Prince Suleyman (yes, that one) at the age of 17, which means 1511 (making Ezio 52). Reading on Wikipedia, I'm having trouble pinning down the exact name for the city after the Fall of Constantinople in 1453, there's not much information, 'cept that "Kostantiniyye (Arabic القسطنطينية, al-Qusṭanṭiniyah, Ottoman Turkish قسطنطينيه Kostantiniyye)" was used in official documents (Ref). I suppose the game designers just refer to it as Constantinople for the sake of clarity.
(As an aside, Ezio's gonna get another love interest this game, based on this painting. Maybe this time he'll actually conceive!)

The name Constantinople wasn't changed to "istanbul" until around about the late 1800's.
Ubi Soft has released a new teaser trailer for Assassin's Creed: Revelations, narrated by a wizened Ezio, who is in his mid-50's during the time frame of the game, who is understandably eager to learn just what is going on, especially since when he met Minerva, she spoke to Desmond through Ezio, not to Ezio himself.
I'm surprised that with Altiar back in the picture, nobody's made a Sonic Generations or Inception joke.
Regardless, the idea's cool, but I'm that the "last of Ezio" thing sticks; I like him, but I'm just getting tired of him.
I think there's an air of melancholy there. Just seems finale, and a Downer Ending awaits for Ezio.
Jonah FalconAgree with you completely.
Also this trailer is awesome .

That looks a lot like the Assassin Fortress from the first game.
Against all tyrants. That's because it is.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.
Ezio was a Master Assassin by Brotherhood. Also, I wonder how Altair will figure into this? I like Ezio well enough, but despite his blandness Altair's my favorite so far.
Also FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFI NEED TO GET DONE WITH DRAGON AGE 2 SO THAT I CAN BUY BROTHERHOOD AND PLAY IT BEFORE THIS COMES OUT!
