My biggest beef with the Birthers is that any attempt to believe their nonsense requires Insane Troll Logic and Did Not Do The Research to the level of Epic Fail. I mean, even ignoring the idea that...
... Obama's family planted a fake birth announcement in the newspapers (on the off-chance their kid will eventually want to run for POTUS someday),
...or that an airline would let a nearly-ready-to-give-birth pregnant woman fly anywhere, much less to Kenya,
...or the fact that even if he was born in Kenya he'd be a US citizen anyway because his mother was one,
...no, what gets my goat is the idea that when Mr. Obama was elected to the position of Junior Senator from Illinois, the FBI, CIA, DOD, and whoever else supposedly responsible for national security didn't bother to do a background check on the guy and made sure he was cleared to access whatever sooper-secret information that all US Senators need to access to do their jobs. Considering that the FBI gets suspicious of clearance-holders on relatively minor matters, the idea that a covert Islamo-Communist-Kenyan-Atheist-Fascist-Liberal-Unionized-poser could just breeze by all the requisite background checks without twigging any eyebrows is as likely as Han Solo flying the Millenium Falcon down a soda straw.
Far as I'm concerned, the only thing the Birthers are good for is in being Exhibit A as proof that the GOP is officially Batshit Insane(tm).

He's an atheist?
Tut, tut.
Hey, maybe Obama has Mind Control, and birthers are the only ones immune to it.
If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.@Rjung: you forgot the most illogical one.
For the state of Hawaii to say he's on file there for two years means two things are possible.
1: it is on file
2: an entire state government is on on a plan to insert a kenyan (muslim/nazi/whatever) into office for no discernible but apparently nefarious purpose.
Clearly, the Hawaiians are planning for their secession during the turmoil this would create.
Fight smart, not fair.I think the whole reason he did this was to get his WHCD punchline.

I never thought I'd be pining for Ross Perot.
I'm a skeptical squirrel
LOL. Knowing the birthers, they probably might think that joke picture was serious. I just don't understand this. Say what you want about the U.S. government, but I'm pretty sure they are not going to let someone be president if they are blatantly breaking one of the requirements to be president. This is nonsense.
