That's actually very inaccurate. It doesn't take into account that Steam's content server don't update until some time in the morning in the Pacific Standard timezone, so it won't be out until then.

I don't really care about Steam integration. It should only be required to have Steam open when I'm actually installing the game, right? I don't have to have Steam open and connected to the internet while I play, right?

i think you do, actually...

It's not that bad, assuming that there isn't much that Steam Cloud is used for with this game.

EDIT: Yeah, there's not much integration. You do need to be logged in, though, but saving account credentials allows Offline Mode to be used.
