@Millership Is it possible you could tell me when you can post, because it looks like you can only post in the mornings (My time: US Central), but usually for me my inclination is to post in the evenings.

At about 19:00 to 21:00 on workdays. Time zone is GMT+6. I could post any time on weekends.

Now that I can post more frequently again, I'd really like to actually do so, so I'm going to give this a couple more days and then just handwave Gev back into the thread.

Waiting on Masterofchaos in Capital then I'll post for both Terra Nova sub-teams.

@Millership We live...12 hours apart. This makes everything both simple and complicated.

Also do note that the Captain DOES have an actual name beyond 'the Captain'. Nobody's just specifically asked yet.

FINALLY posted in Resort again. I'm sorry for taking so long, Electronic.

I think after this I'm just going to send Camille to her room for a while as I try to figure out what to do with her. As previously mentioned, there's not a whole lot among the current participants that I think would work well with her.

I'm still considering bringing in a second character, but at this point it seems just as likely that I'm simply going to drop out entirely. Resort's just not clicking with me.

No, it's ok, I'm kind of on the same boat as you, actually. But it would mean writing up a reason why they would have to leave so abruptly. I think I'll just stick around for a bit longer to see if anyone opens up.

On a different note, I'm not going to be around for a lot of tomorrow. Going out and I can't use my phone since it's out of data (incidentally enough, Monday is when the cycle rolls over and I can use it again).

Not that weekends are really active around these parts currently, but I'd thought I'd mention it.

Speaking of posting, I was thinking of joining Resort some time soon. Was there a post about what's going on in that thread recently? Is that still accurate?

Mostly, yeah. A few have moved around, but I don't think anything major has changed that can't be determined by comparing to the last page or two.

@Tehpillowstar, I got the impression that you're deliberately keeping The Captain's name a secret, since you're using second-person narration and he didn't tell his name when the girls introduced themselves.

@Millership, you're not wrong there, although it's not really because his name happens to be super important to the plot, but half because I found keeping people in the dark to be funny in some way, and half because in the story I'm writing, his name simply isn't brought up much. He's always referred to by either rank or title and his actual name is only mentioned in passing—a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment.

@Tehpillowstar, I guess, I'll play along then, and will drag the joke out as far as it is possible, if you don't mind. Make the name an Ostentatious Secret of sorts.

Also, I won't be posting today. I need to do some research on radio encryption, first. Can anyone give me a link to good sources of info on non-digital methods of radio encryption?

I have returned from my otherwise busy day. That being said, I'm not feeling quite up for posting right now; I'll get to that later.

I did, however, edit the location tag on my last Resort post since Camille didn't actually move. I intended her to do so, but decided against it later and then forgot to change the location tag to reflect that.

I'm starting to feel kind of out of it in the threads. Qrlil is the only character I'm really getting to post as lately and I'm not really sure what else is going on for me to add new characters to.

@Millership My intention was going with digital (or similar) encryption, because anything else wouldn't make any sense. The Captain comes from a very futuristic sci-fi setting where faster-than-light travel is the norm, nanomedicine can heal people from the brink of death in seconds, and fusion reactors are the norm.

I also glossed over the details out of simplicity. It really isn't that important and I'd rather get the plot going than get bogged down with details. If there's a technology incompatibility going on here, then the fastest way to go would be just saying that fast radio encryption without setting up a complex system or agreeing on a code would be too much of an issue, and just agree not to say anything too sensitive over the radios.

I've learned to really enjoy torturing Kyana like this.

I've been thinking of dropping into Resort, though I'm not yet 100% sure of how I'm gonna do that or who I'm going to be using... Incidentally, Wolf1066, is Gwion in Resort after having been in Capital?

x5 Meant to comment on that earlier. Why you torture Kyana? XD lol I don't mind though, it was fun reading about her being swept up off her feet. ^.^ If she was kind of crushing earlier she's going to be crushing a bit more now.
