Oh yeah, I forgot about the 4 Feb thing. I haven't been following Halloween, so I neglected its expected ending time.

Oh, I should probably throw this Hand Wave out just in case: Despite calling them "demons", Masum's little invisible buddies are almost certainly different in nature from the "demons" of any other characters' worlds, and as long as they stay latent, they should be undetectable aside from the scent of anise they leave behind when they eat dead things. If they use any powers or possess something to interact with the world, characters may be able to perceive them or their powers, but as long as they are just floating around Masum and/or talking to him, they should remain imperceptible to anybody but him.

I agree that February 4 may be too early to launch Capital. I picked it as the first totally free day I'll have in a while, but in retrospect it doesn't give us a lot of development time.

Really sorry about not posting in Halloween yet; I meant to do it last night, but I ended up falling asleep and then sleeping in. Anyway, it shouldn't take much longer to finish this post up.

The Paper From Hell is finished. My posting should be much improved from now on, although I'm going to have to take a bit right now to reorientate myself in each thread.

And posted in both threads.

In general I'm going to be much slower to advance the time in Fair this time around, for obvious reasons. But in this particular case I want to try and get more characters out of bed and back into action.

I think it's just a little too late at night for me to post again today. I'll try and get it done first thing tomorrow.

Still looking for feedback on Capital. I'm getting some contradictory suggestions in terms of aesthetics right now.

Apologies for posting four times in a row here, but I figured this shouldn't wait to be asked: are people okay with starting to wind down Halloween now? We've reached page 30, which was about the point I'd planned for it.

Also, this is still the case:

I'm ready for Halloween to be over now, so that's fine by me.

Don't have a lot to say about Capital that I haven't already said at the moment, unfortunately.

I don't have much to say about Capitol, either.

Thirding that capital talk.

Also, hopefully that thing I mentioned wanting to share last week will be done before the weekend is out.

I might be a while in posting to Halloween.

So should we vote or something on the aesthetics for Capital, then? I have no particular opinions myself - I have a pretty good idea of how the city is laid out, but it's easily adjustable to fit any general background - and so far the suggestions have been everything from Crystal Spires and Togas to vaguely industrial and Victorian.

Also, might be a while before I post in Fair.

Edit: A long while.

Apologies for not posting at all today. Been busy doing actual research for a story and haven't been in the mood to post as such.

I'll get around to it sometime tomorrow.

I can't complain about long posting times after the last couple of days without looking like a hypocrite, but that's kind of alarming to hear given how many other times you've talked about being tired all the time. Seriously, take it from someone with personal experience: getting enough sleep matters.

I suppose so, but I've also noticed that writing tends to put me to sleep more than anything else. I feel perfectly wide awake before and shortly after trying to write a proper post. It's such an internal process, it's hard not to disconnect.

And I probably could have used a little more sleep last night. I was a little put off by how long I had slept in the night before, and didn't want to let it happen again. Now that vacation is done with, these weekends are precious.

edit: 11 hours? Eh, I've done worse.

I would be fine with most of the suggested aesthetics for Capital, though I still like the idea of mixing them all together. Perhaps we could use one of those top-of-the-thread poll things to decide?

Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

I should probably go ahead and clarify now that I'm waiting for a chance to post as Harry before posting in Halloween right now. Don't want Oswald and Krajn to get too out of sync with everyone else now that the thread's nearly over.

Decided to pull out of Halloween now. My interest in it has pretty much faded at this point, and I don't see the point in holding everyone else up.

I would prefer the more futuristic in Capital's setting, primarily because that's not something we've done yet. We've had several settings that were modernist and several that were deliberately invoking the past but we've yet to try our hand at the future as such.

Mind that doesn't mean Crystal and such necessarily. I'm perfectly happy with cyberpunk.

Fair coming shortly.

That slowness was mostly my fault. For my own sake, that ought to be the last I post tonight. Other things need attending to.

And that thing I wanted to share should be done by sometime tomorrow. I should stop mentioning it though, it's not very exciting and probably won't interest all but a few of you. Still the most relevant crowd to share it with though, so tongue
