Heh, remember Resort? That went pretty well. But we've got a few things here and there just in case. Nothing that would make it cease to be a casual thread, but ways to stir the pot without making it a central plot. Just dive in, see how things go. What have you got to lose?
Aseyu is... not easily squicked.
Sounds about right.

I'm tired and I'll respond to any interactions with Markus on the ride to/from school or when I'm home.
Note to self: Pick less edgy username next time. The only rooms I can think of that haven't been used yet are the Sparring Room, Theater, and Garden.
I'm kinda disappointed by the lack of response by my mega- post, which took me roughly an hour to write.
But don't mind me. I'm just sulking cuz I don't often put that much effort into a post, and the lack of response has put me in a bit of a quandrary. Yet now I've mentioned it and made you all feel bad, I'm going to get half-assed awkward responses that are almost as bad.
Alas, 'tis the problem of very long posts. I don't know how you stand the disappointment Ryuzha.

EDIT: Actually, that was a little too much from me. It's kinda my fault for not posting enough and only being an afterthought.
And making a WHOAHUGEPOST TL;DR

Bet you didn't see that coming@Masterofchaos - Is it possible that we can finish up the interactions between Markus, Thomas and John. I've reached the point where Markus's story is almost entirely unsalvageable, and I want to bring in another characters.
Note to self: Pick less edgy username next time.If you want to, sure. I'll make a post.
Muchas gracias

Well, I just hope that somebody read it, and take satisfaction in having written it at all. I don't write very much unless it's required, which is part of the reason I try to take creative writing courses and participate in these threads. Beyond the idea building I do in my head, these things give me the opportunity to flesh out my characters and actively apply characterization. Writing long posts lets me practice larger forms of composition, and gives me endless food for thought in looking back on what I think I did well, and what I think turned out poorly.
Lately I've not been striving for long posts during direct interaction with other characters because... it's probably not natural for a character take a great many actions, or go on and on about something or other, while the others wait idly by until they are finished.
But yes, it can still be frustrating and disappointing when you get a comparatively weak or unaffected response in return, or no response at all.
That aside,
Killer Clowns/Crystal Glacia, Just to be sure, do either of you have an idea of what's wrong with Oswald, or have I not made it as clear as I thought? I can't tell if your character's cluelessness is just them as characters, or reflective of your own positions.
this place needs me hereI do wonder if there's a "hoofbeats, therefore horses vs. zebras" thing going on over there...

Nous restons ici.Both. Even if I'd had it figured out, Alice wouldn't care enough to think about it or help much.
I'm well aware it's a curse, but it's apparently not magic. In Matt's 'verse, curses are explicitly magical, but I don't know that much about how curses function on your end. So... yeah. Matt's cautiousness with checking was both him not knowing what it is and me trying to find out.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."
Oh- well, I guess I should put it out there; he's suffering from hypothermia, and it's just started to really catch up with him.
Actually, his curse has nothing to do with it. But wandering for a long time in cold marshes and wearing a great many layers of wet clothing might.

this place needs me hereYup, it's horses. Hoofbeats. Horses. Not zebras.
Nous restons ici.If you hear hoofbeats, you should assume the presence of horses, not zebras.
If you see the symptoms of hypothermia...
Nous restons ici.Wrong thread. Herpaderp.

Bet you didn't see that comingAh, gotcha!
That's part of the reason I think it's funny that Alice and Matthias both assume there's a magical explanation at first. Maybe they're more used to zebras than they are to horses.
this place needs me hereI shall make responses after school tomorrow.
I shall now leave to the land of sleep. Night.
Is anyone talking to me?
Sorry, I've been kinda out-of-it.

Is there any long-term plan for Mansion? One of the last barriers to my joining is the fear that the thread can't keep it up forever.
