We can do better: White Haired Pretty Girl

Edmania's first pic at post n°45 is excellent and my fave choice, but needs to be sized down a little.

Well, its currently winning with +9 and a 4.00 ratio

I do like this◊ proposed pic much better, probably want to shrink it a wee bit more though, it's kinda huge.

It's better than the uncropped version, but the "light magic" thing is still extraneous at best. It really detracts from the focus of the trope, IMO, and makes it seem like it's more about Light The Way or something similar.

Its not required, its just a frequent aspect.

Can we crop out the lower body part? It's kinda distracting.

I can't really see how it's much more distracting than the torso.

Just show it from the chest up. It's about hair, after all.

Well, if we are to remove the distracting sexy parts, we should make extra sure that the face will be thought of as "pretty" by users.

To be fair, the current leading option will probably do that even without the distracting sexy parts.

Honestly, I like the full body better because it seems to sit into the page better. It's got a nice white outside and having the chop marks in the girl is more distracting than anything.

You say that from a female perspective, though. Perhaps guys might be more inclined to find the sexier one distracting than the girls would?

Meh, not claiming certainty about this, just throwing that out there. We'll find out more when others weigh in on it.

Well, from a male's perspective, I prefer the full body shot, if only because it just looks better. It's much better to see a full person rather than a person's obviously cropped upper half. And it's not so long that it would intrude on the article.

I lean toward the full pic myself.

The cropped one's not bad, but I think I prefer the full image.

I am a girl, and I am just as attracted to women as any straight guy. I still like the full body shot.

I seriously don't think it's distracting enough for someone to go all "oh wait, she has white hair?" unless they have an insane sexual desire to pry open her legs and force her into becoming their personal sex slave.

I actually prefer the full body shot, too, but I can't justify it.
