You got the link and thread title backwards, I think; it goes straight to the main page.

I'm disappointed that you got it backwards for the tags, pal.
Also, Reaction Guys are probably a good idea. They're probably our best bet for all of this.
Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.Oops, I... goofed. Is there any way I can change the discussion title?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. How's this:
Panel 1 is text that reads "4 PLAYER MARIO GAME!!!"
Panel 2: Excited Reaction Guys.
Panel 3: Picture of Yvan and Wolley
Panel 4: Not Excited Reaction Guys.
^^Hm, that could work. I have a couple ideas along similar lines:
- 1)
- Panel 1: Screenshot of Sonic the Hedgehog gameplay from Sonic Unleashed.
- Panel 2: Excited Reaction Guys.
- Panel 3: Screenshot of Sonic the Werehog gameplay from said game.
- Panel 4: Not Excited Reaction Guys.
- 2)
- Panel 1: Screenshot of the Zelda Spaceworld Demo.
- Panel 2: Excited Reaction Guys.
- Panel 3: Early Screenshot of Wind Waker Link.
- Panel 4: Not Excited Reaction Guys.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. No offense, I love sonic.
...But let's not use that one.
Maybe we could do a movie trailer? Though that might work better, for Trailers always lie.
Edit: Oh wait. Why not something with Super Smash Brothers Brawl?

...But let's not use that one.
Any reasons why we shouldn't?

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.A Ctually you're right on that, I was thinking brawl, mainly because we got so many previews of the game before hand. But mainly what I thinking of, was the generic, smilar to Final Destination stages.
Honestly iiiiiit slightly has to do with the Broken Base that the Fandom is.

We could do Anime.Iron Man maybe. There was an awesome trailer, and then the series itself used such a simpler design style that a lot of people were turned off.
Fight smart, not fair.I don't think we should let the "brokenness" of a fanbase dictate how we should choose our choices. If they should present a problem for whatever reason, then they should be promptly dealt with.
Perhaps it's Fan Myopia clouding my outside-perspective judgment skills, but I think using the Sonic example would be a nice contrast to the Mario-related image currently in use on the And The Fandom Rejoiced page.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I like the Devil May Cry image.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. If the DMC image fits the page well, it does seem to be a pretty good example of this trope
I still think my idea would work...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Okay, apparently we've got two threads, I'm hollering to lock this one.
Wait, this is the more recent? Then why did another one just get closed after being voted imageless?
Alright, figured out what was going on, I had the wrong thread and trope.

Fight smart, not fair.Bump. Did we have a consensus before?
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. You mean on the DMC pic? I dunno, it looks like people liked the idea better than the execution.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things.Bump. Requesting clock.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things.Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
Well, since this trope is the polar opposite of And The Fandom Rejoiced, I think having a page would help to better show the differences between them. It shouldn't be too hard to find some good visual examples, seeing as this is a somewhat common audience reaction.
Personally, I think we could benefit from using an image setup similar to the one currently in use on the And The Fandom Rejoiced, except with "Panel 1" showing something excited and "Panel 3" showing something about said thing that would incite concern (at best).
