I think that disqualifying the Greedy Golett would probably work best. Team Ozone getting to the final round or Semi finals is better for drama.
What about Team Banana?
But the Greedy Golett needs to win.
And promptly sell the trophy for money.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! We haven't exactly been strict about brackets anyways. And frankly I don't think being strict about them is in the schedule's best interest.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I'm with Anom. I think the Greedy Golett should win... maybe, he'll sell the statue to the J-Team without nothing it.
Anyone got any suggestions for a name for Veronica the NPC's female Sealeo?
Also, name suggestions for my future (male) Cottonee and (female) Seel would also be nice, even if I don't intend to hatch the eggs containing them until after the PMD arc.
So, um, I had an idea for the chat dilemma.
Instead of splitting the chat into an on-topic/off-topic, why not just leave the normal chat for off-topics, and leave all the RP-planning to here, in the Discussion thread?
After all, this place was specifically made for just that purpose.
And even if it is a rather slower method of communication, it does work for all the other R Ps, more people would see ideas in here than in another chat (like Wolf, and people who would rather stay in one chat), and it allows for longer discussions, so more people could contribute.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Anything more than a species and gender? It's hard for me to come up with anything better than "behindthename.com" without a sort of background from which to make a name sensible. Still, for a female Seel I'd suggest, depending on inclination, names based off from ice cream flavours or ice/snow sports.
There are some components of discussion, for minutia, spontaneous generation of ideas and quick solutions, that doesn't work as well here as it does in the chatroom, as I've tried to explain precisely in chatroom. But still, I see the point - here should be the primary RP discussion.

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Hmm... Well, Veronica's Sealeo will be somewhat childish and playful.

Do not fear power... fear those who wield it.A few stating the apparently-not-obvious notes:
- the chatroom is for fast discussion; "decisions" there should not be final, but simply mean a proposal has been reached to be sent here
- once an idea is generally proposed, the proposers should not get angry at criticism. Especially if a concern can be remedied by only minor changes to the plot.
- If you have an issue with a plot that can't be resolved, that doesn't effect you, however, it is likely best to just let it go.
- We all need to be flexible, essentially.
- one idea is to make chatrooms more numerous and topical; that is, similar to how we had special chats for The Reveal and Nihilist Tagg battle, we can have chats on other topics, with more focused logs.
- I believe I can set it to allow anyone with a tropi.us chat account to make a room. As a reminder, I can make you one if you have a chat client.
- Overreacting to an event does not help anyone. If you dislike something, calmly express your issues with it. Don't exaggerate it into a boogyman version and then raeg against it.
Silly Umbra you can't leave WAAPT. No PEFEers can leave WAAPT. It's the running gag ⊖
We wuv you.
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google? We need PMD arc ideas. We have a few overarching ideas, such as paying off a debt, uniting warring tribes, or repairing a shattered MacGuffin crystal, but it's hard to decide what to go with if we don't know what people want to do during the arc...
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Well, I'd like to:
- Focus on showing the trust building between DS and Swindle, at least in the early parts of the arc.
- Show various short scenes of DS' other Pokémon going out on random missions, showing what they're up to.
- Have DS get herself into trying to solve a mystery regarding some missing Pokémon.
- And do as much Lampshade Hanging as possible.
That's pretty much what I've got so far.
I support these ideas. #1 and #4 especially.
Actually, forget trying to plan this in the chatroom, that only works when people are actually telling their ideas. (Sorry for huffy tone, I'm a bit frustrated at being asked to design a narrative system without being given all the requirements.)
So far, what seems to work to tie things together: we have a MacGuffin, the Spacetime Crystal, say. Upon arrival in PMD, we accidentally break it somehow, scattering its pieces around the PMD world, and the AU-B future (because Spacetime). To collect them all, we have to settle various subplots, like your typical Paper Mario or Sonic Adventure game.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Hey, will that Time Gear in the volcano ever be brought up? You know, the one that was said to be hidden in a volcano, even though none of the five Time Gears shown in-game were in a volcano?
For a PMD-n (where n is A, B or whatever), I'd like to:
- Develop and show Pokémon as they perform in their societies.
- Build up the inter-species relation for the mon(s) I take to the arc.
- Build up the future of the Colony as I've envisioned it, and how our current present has turned into their lore.
- Be able to play up references to some franchises, mostly Chrono Trigger and Zelda.
- (Probably) Explore what sort of sports mons would play (inb4 a workable Blitzball idea).
- (Probably) Meet Shahinne and Copahue/Harriet's further descendants.
- (Probably) Explore some PMD mechanics.
...And I'd like to not:
- Have to face a threat so encompassing that it would preclude the ability to freely develop on that world.
- Having to worry about pacing. Like, at all.
Maybe Dialga made a spare? :P

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Okay, after some rather...unpleasant drama in the chat today, I am proposing this topic again:
I, personally, vote for splitting the chat, for reasons that include making it easier to actually discuss the RP and ideas as well as making it much easier to find already discussed topics in the log without having to wade through pages and pages of Skyrim or bile fascination discussion.
What do you think, everyone? And remember to please elaborate on what benefits your choice would provide.

I vote for the OT topic mode, because I believe that it can work, but it needs stricter moderation. Plus, three chats is hard to manage on certain devices.
For PMD: I'm fine with whatever right now, unless I come up with something cool for the plot I haven't already discussed. Just don't make it TOO Paper Mario-esqe - I was planning a mega-miniarc based on those games.
For Chatroom: As always, I'm going with three chatrooms. That way, no one has to sit around waiting for an OT to be called (or for one to end) - or worse, be forced to call it because no one will listen otherwise.

Disqualify the Greedy Golett or Team Ozone on the grounds of suspicion of trophy stealing, or something? Can't really suggest much else ATM except perhaps offscreening one round. I'd like to see the finals actually being played, to give a good closure to the miniarc development-wise.
