Crewe: No actual plots that I'm aware of, but I believe that I offered to keep Katie aside so that you had someone to interact with.
I'd go with the On-Topic choice
I appreciate it, Wolf, but if I do any more Slice Of Life stuff, I'm going insane.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Rachel (that's her name, right?) is a bird-catcher, isn't she? So maybe a side-arc where they help a family of the resident Flying-type save their home?
Well, she's so much a Bird catcher as someone who relies on Flying types to get around and get her out of danger and such.
Though that could work, especially if I merge it with Tangent's idea of a 'mon stealing the book she carries around and fills with notes on Pokemon and plants and stuff.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Feel free to tweak it, and add any details you want. Just let me know what you're thinking, and I (or Tangent, if he wants in) will run it.
I prefer the On Topic Idea, for reasons stated earlier. It's hard enough to keep up with two chatrooms on my ipod as is.
I prefer the three chats idea. It's tough waiting for an OT, especially if you can't always be on during the OT.
Contact Me!Have been writing this since yesterday, more or less...
I'm ambivalent towards either choice (Split or OT-Mode) myself, and can understand where both sides are coming from with reasons to not vote A besides yes vote B. For the Speeqers it will be an annoying extra burden to split, and even after enough experience is acquired I can foresee a lot of hair pulling at the interface and connection effects, but at the same time the OT model is not working as cleanly as it should, and it is barely having the desired effect of, well, prioritizing OT conversations.
The thing is, we have not been enforcing the "OT" part of the OT model as we should. OT discussion should take priority over randomness, and that does not only applies to being in subject but also to actually subject selection - many times it has happened already when we enter randomness; then some other players are too afraid to propose their ideas because they'll still be swallowed by the randomness, or, even if they're picked up, other players will complain start leaving while there's OT discussion, giving a very strong impression that OT mode is unenjoyable.
Of course, this and the whole thread reflection issue are something a third chatroom gets rid of, but at a larger cost. There is a concern, justified in the same above mechanics, that if we split into three chatrooms the RP one will "wither and die" because everyone will want to spend their time at offtopic, and juggling chatrooms is already hard enough for Speequers. As a result, plans discussed there would "bounce" between Chatroom and Discussion much more. While to that I would retort that you don't have to actually be always on all the chatrooms and that if people are willingly ignoring RP building discussion for randomness we can not always accommodate for them (the more with RL/RP delays), that also builds the exact same impression that RP building mode is unenjoyable.
In the end, I'm gonna be OK with whatever method you choose, so long as the ontopic chatroom, whichever it is, serves the RP first. I ask that both to those who are going with OT model and those who are willing/designated to implement it: please make sure that OT Mode is OT Mode, not "OT Mode if we feel like it".
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?I still cast my vote for On-Topic, as three chatrooms is too hard for me to keep up with, especially given the current curtailing of my RP time.
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.I like the On Topic idea so far.
Perhaps we could try to set up specific times for OT, Preferably when most people are on?
I think the OT system works best, but it is rather grating for those who can't really contribute to the OT to have to just sit there silently.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! With 6 left in the PR but many of us moving on, should we fix the results now?
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I say yes, but I don't know about everyone else.
Not sure what you mean by fix the results.
Decide the remaining matchups, and who wins.

Oh, then I would vote no. Sort of. I'd rather not have winners decided ahead of time, but deciding who is against each other next is probably a good idea.
Okay, so last night we discussed some potential ideas for a miniarc/party/whatever for the RP's anniversary.
Some potential stuff if we decide to do the party:
- Truth or Dare
- Past arc retrospective
- Scavenger hunt
Please keep in mind that these are only ideas, and not final decisions. It might also not be a party, but that is our most planned idea so far. Feel free to suggest any other ideas.

I like the scavenger hunt idea. We can pick out items and characters we've met along the way.
Recently, we also discussed a worldbuilding element borrowed and tweaked from a fic that was most definitely not mine. It involves a civilization of Precursors, and will have applications for the end of the Hoenn arc and (likely) beyond. After a few discussion sessions, here's the current state of the idea:
A civilization of Alakazam and a civilization of Metagross arose long before human civilization (since they're two of the smartest non-legends, I figured they'd fill the sapient "niche" first), and for a while they cooperated with each other but always remained wary. Then, something started a war between the two. The war escalated until one of the civs tried to activate the Mt. Pyre Caldera. The Weather Trio then sacrificed themselves to stop it. Outraged at the deaths of their fellows, the other legendaries wiped the civilizations from the face of Pokearth, and they were reduced to an animalistic existence until humans showed up.
Any tweaks and other feedback are appreciated. In particular, we're still trying to figure out how their societies worked as well as future applications to the RP's plot (including a possible universe).

Contact Me!I'm not totally sold on the activation of the Caldera requiring the sacrifice of the Trio to stop it, perhaps a small tidbit can be added to it (ie.: a very, very bad timing for it to happen, or something). But I still like the idea because it seems to go friendly with established canon. It might justify current expectation or knowledge on Groudon or Kyogre's powers, considering they've done nothing of that scale for apparently a good while. It also could add varios possible spins and twists as to why another, communal human/mon civilization implemented Pokémon-based time travel. And, depending on how much of the past setting is revealed in-RP, could give special emotional touch to what we know it's coming.
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?I figured that I should mention that due to earlier RP events, considering the regeneration or permadeath options regarding the Weather trio and the caldera, it would have to be the former.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. So, with 5 left participants in the Pokeringer, what are we going to do about the uneven number?

On Topic.Reason why? Because it makes things less of a hassle, three chatrooms would be too hard to juggle for me personally.Scratch That, going with 3rd Chatroom.
On Topic, while other RP's seem to have pulled it off, we certainly haven't. Over the last few weeks when we switch to on Topic, some complain, some leave and most times DRAMA is created which gets taken to the "Let's iron out our problems here" Chatroom (Which has been more productive in discussing the actual RP than the main one and that's a darn sorry sight). Defeating the purpose of On-Topic.
I have alro realised that some people come to the chatroom just to discuss non-RP related stuff (Skyrim, Skyward Sword and terrible KH fanfic being the MAJOR OFFENDERS of this). Having a chat that dedicates itself to all of this Natter is a really good idea. So those who want to discuss the RP can do so in the main chat and those who want to post about how awesome The Muppets or were can take it to the other chatroom and we can all be happy.
And most of all, it would most likely will prevent us from locking horns with eachother. A change I welcome.
In the end, good idea on paper that sounds REAL GOOD in execution and will just have a few people having to adjust to maining a different chatroom.
End Post
