Double post because I have an idea relating to Bitters' Bronze Birds.

Introducing THE PHANTOM FORCE, a team of Ghost-type superheroes! Initially formed for the purpose of taking down Gudrunn Alter, they quickly get sidetracked diversify into general superheroics.

The founder is Duolis, who can inflict her particular brand of at-will weremon curse by    cutting   , but only on Ghost-types, and only on ones that came back from the dead or something like that. Those affected can switch between their natural form and Ghost Obscuric/Spectral humans at will.

Any ghostmon that meets the criteria can join! I'd just need to joy down on a list. Natural ghostmons probably have a place too, I'm just not sure what yet.

So, uh... I'm probably going to be taking a hiatus from the RP and the Spectra Castle server for a while. I'm having a rough time as of late, and I'm kinda disconnected from RP stuff anyway, but I'll still be reachable through DMs if anyone ever wants to talk.

Well, after talking it over with some other people, while we have had what amounts to an implicit soft ban on offing PCs (In this case referring to their OU incarnations) without approval, I figure it would be a good idea if we actually made our implicit soft PC death ban explicit since just stating we have a bad history with the subject without going into detail about it is kinda vague, and this is what that would entail:

• Newbies are barred from killing off their PCs, period.
• Even for experienced players, killing off your PCs for non-narrative reasons in general is not allowed (Ex. People simply not liking their character anymore for X reason), and even narrative deaths are strongly discouraged without prior discussion, especially if it'll have a major effect on other people's characters. That said, you still wish to do so, it's best to clear it with the others first instead of trying to surprise everyone, as that rarely goes well.

• Backstory: Jack’s lead an interesting life, born in Hoenn and moved to Kanto at a young age, Jack growing up always tried something different and new to fit in and found the one thing he was really good at, getting a job done, specifically catching Pokemon for other people. Jack worked at that for years, eventually joining into other organizations before stepping up to the plate as his own name, Delta. Delta believes in efficiency and getting the job done, he doesn’t hold grudges, plots revenge, or even gets angry, it gets in the way of the job, the man could be considered the embodiment of “Nothing Personal”.

• Gender: None (Responds to Male Pronouns)
• Ability: Iron Fist
• Personality/Bio: Delta’s most used Pokemon, Mazinger serves as his mainline enforcer for Pokemon. Mazinger unlike his Trainer who is Cold Ham incarnate, is a hot headed Large Ham who prefers to devour the environment around him, often calling out attacks when performing them. Mazinger can’t be bought out or reasoned with, citing Delta as a fantastic trainer and leader, despite the language barrier.

• Nickname: Zatara
• Gender: Male
• Ability: Inner Focus
• Personality/Bio: A trickster with a love of the spotlight, Zatara fulfills the need for psychic operations and tricks, while his love of attention is troublesome for Delta, he’s none the less a loyal and effective partner, who can occasionally put aside his need for the stage and get the job done, and then demand attention afterwards.

• Nickname: Raiju
• Gender: Female
• Ability: Sand Stream
• Personality/Bio: Despite her typing, Raiju is a fighting type at heart and prefers a monk like method, claiming that she is a calm river mountain stream that will break all barriers with time, nothing ever seems to anger or bother her, save for chewing gum, for some reason that angers her quite a bit. She’s willing to fight and believes in honor, of course she’s willing to be flexible, there’s a difference between a friendly match with a worthy foe and a job after all.

• Nickname: Rodan
• Gender: Male
• Ability: Blaze
• Personality/Bio: Rodan is Delta’s starter all the way back from Kanto and is the oldest of the team there, easily the most in line with Delta’s personality, proud of his status and easily still capable, Rodan cites “The old ways are the best” as his motto of choice, not caring for fancy new techniques like Z-Moves or Mega-Evolution, at the end of the day it comes down to a good trainer with a good understanding of their team and mons.

• Nickname: Bonnie
• Gender: Female
• Ability: Torrent
• Personality/Bio: Bonnie is like her trainer and believes in the idea of “Nothing Personal”, a job is a job and if someone gets hurt, tough. She’s straightforward and no nonsense, preferring not to mince words or go for niceties, if she’s asked to break the news, she’ll break it in the most brutally honest way. Be careful around her as she’s exceptionally easy to anger.

• Species: Venusaur
• Nickname: Thorian
• Gender: Female
• Ability: Overgrow
• Personality/Bio: Thorian is the most cool headed of all of Delta’s mons, preferring to sit, relax, and enjoy the beauty of nature, but when called into duty she won’t hesitate, preferring the motto “More work now, less work later”. She’s the most open to discussions of ending a fight, but usually in the idea that the other team is surrendering.

If no one has anything to say in Discussion regarding that earlier D!Post of mine after it's been almost a week, I'm just going to assume you guys are okay with it and turn it into an actual rule sometime this weekend.

I figured it already got added to the official rules. But yeah, other than the initial assumption that there was some drama I missed that seems fine, or at least it looks like something that can be worked with.

I can't think of any real good ways to kill someone off in WAAPT for anything besides surprise factor anyway, with the exception of Lawrence's death. (But then, I've never tried offing a char in the first place)

The only deaths I ever had actually planned are for villains in any case, so fine with that.

Age: 20 (Birthday March 13, 1998)

Gender: Agender (they/them)

Ethnicity: Black

Appearance: Shortish, with medium-length black coily hair and amber eyes. Typically in standard red-and-black Ranger uniform, but otherwise wears T-shirts with memes on them and shorts or skirts, usually. A lot of their personal color scheme matches their eyes.

Organizational Ties: the Ranger Union

Region of origin: Almia

Bio: They joined the Ranger School some years ago, after the events of the games, and were a student the first time the J-Team came to town to deal with the Cipher branch in Altru Tower. By the second, they were an Area Ranger of Renbow and Layuda Islands and watched as the J-Team drove Illusion out of the Ranger Regions.

At some point recently they arrested someone hiding out in the Ranger Regions and, seeing the poor state of their mons, successfully argued to release them from their Vows as invalid. Due to the abilities of their Partner mon, as well as a personal interest, they took up guardianship of these mons for their therapy and, with relative peace in the Ranger regions and a new crop of students looking for Areas of their own, they took a sort of official leave to focus on it, wandering away from the Ranger Regions.

Ever since the J-Team swept through their Regions, leaving chaos in their wake, they've wanted to meet them again. A fateful meeting may soon come to pass...

Personality: They are often determined, proactive, compassionate, and sociable. They sometimes slip a bit on the self-care, but Addie sees that they don't slip too far, usually. They've learned the ins and outs of various coping mechanisms and such for their line of work, which could possibly be described as empath-diplomacy-mediation-therapy-crisis response-law enforcement-environmentalist with a fair degree of accuracy.

On duty, and often in general, they are practical and to-the-point, having been trained to deal effectively with a wide variety of situations...although almost entirely in more typical Ranger settings, rather than J-Team-style shenanigans.

Personally, they love to laugh, and have a strong sense of justice. They have a notable sweet tooth, and a dry, punny sense of humor, and a good deal of anxiety about the chaotic, crisis-riddled world they live in, and their answer to it. To the last, they've sought answers for some time, and still seek them.

Nickname: Addie

Gender: Female

Ability: Volt Absorb

Personality/Bio: Steadfast and dependable, she and Logan have been together since Ranger School, undergoing training together and eventually working smoothly together to solve the various problems of their Area's peoplemons.

Her abilities were the main draw for Logan's assignment to Renbow and Layuda, since they eased their interaction with the Radio Tower and, more crucially, the perpetually lightning-strewn island that had downed the nascent J-Team years ago.

Species: Luxray

Nickname: Luxor

Gender: Female

Ability: Intimidate

Personality/Bio: The first of three mons Logan retrieved from an abusive trainer. Once entered in underground fighting rings. Having difficulty recovering from the mindset survival required.

Sort of longs to get into normal battling, but an incident soon after she joined Logan put this on hold. Now is conflicted on the subject.

Fairly short-tempered, and doesn't like others in general. Doesn't like mud or the sound of crowds.

Species: Manetric

Nickname: Mane

Gender: Male

Ability: Lightningrod

Personality/Bio: The second of three mons Logan retrieved from an abusive trainer. Once a prizewinning show mon, he showed signs of aging and fell out of his original trainer's favor.

Would almost like to take part in a Contest, but lost confidence and fears failure, among other things. Complicated feelings abound.

A mix of anxious and haughty, usually. Doesn't like mud or being touched.

Species: Zebstrika

Nickname: Zeb

Gender: Male

Ability: Motor Drive

Personality/Bio: The third of three mons Logan retrieved from an abusive trainer. Once frequently entered in underground races, had a difficult time recovering in the Ranger Union's medical wing from the performance-enhancing drugs fed to him. Still recovering, slowly.

Slowly starting to almost enjoy running again, but hates going at full gallop, or on roads, and has complicated feelings about races with anything.

Typically panicky, and currently a bit sickly. Dislikes mud.

Additionally, a small cast of other mons, mostly Pikaclones, may be loosely associated with them, having met them through some Noodle Incident or other. Members of it may occasionally accompany them for a period of time in their journey or explore on their own.

Hey, now that I've FINALLY finished the prewrite for Rose and Scarlette's final encounter, we can get moving on the Stormchaser raid that starts it all! For the sake of organization, we've got a doc for a list of who's going to be taken as a hostage, so that the team has motivation to retaliate. If you want in on this mess, feel free to add someone!

All right, so, doublepost PSA for the upcoming Scarlette raid: Please don't treat this like it's a Neo-Flare raid, or anything else that would warrant wanton violence. It's not. Honestly, I was kinda grossed out by the level of reckless gory violence that we got when the NF raid happened, and I really don't want anything like that in an operation I'm leading.

Remember that the only one involved who's completely gone off the deep end is Scarlette. If everyone else in Team Iron was as seethingly ruthless as her, then maybe it'd be understandable, but they're not. And please, don't make them inexplicably Totally Unforgivably Evil just so you have an excuse to break their spines. This is, first and foremost, a rescue mission, including for Scarlette herself.

Okay so me, Bitters and Dune have figured out a SCHEDULE for the next... let's say few weeks though I may be off slightly:

-Lab Raid of a Pokefutures/Cipher facility happens

-This among other things are used as fodder for [SPOILERS] to convince Scarlette to attack the J-Team directly

-April Fools happens at usual at this point or between the previous two

-Scarlette attacks the J-Team, kidnapps peeps

-Rescue mission happens attacking an Iron facility, from which a character of mine uncovers some suspicious Iron files

-After people are rescued, a related character investigates some of the files and [MAJOR SPOILERS' BIG PALOOZA] happens

So as you guys have (maybe) noticed, I haven't been posting a lot lately. And there are a couple of reasons for that!

For one thing, I've got some mod duties on another thing to carry out. I'm a mod for a decently-sized subreddit for Democratic activism, which means that it's a busy time, especially as we get closer to November.

I'm also writing more generally, too, which also takes up brain energy that had previously gone to the RP in the past.

This is to say that I'd like to get back in, but I have no idea when, where or how.

If we talk I could throw you at some plots of mine.
