Okay, ended up having more quiet time than I expected^note Read: I couldn't play Persona today so have the signup I mentioned being reminded about by Umbra's. It's only a month or two or three late! But he's evolved a bit since the original idea I had around the end of the glitch arc.

Ethnicity: Sinn

Appearance: Somewhat lankily built and sporting a short, well groomed dark green hair, eyes that seem to perpetually squint, perhaps a bit darker skin than some would guess from someone hailing from Sinnoh^* Maybe he just picked up a bit of a tan while living in Alola and occasionally seen with a bandage or two from a klutzy accident, Kazuma is most often seen wearing a white lab coat over a white shirt and simple but professional looking brown pants and dress shoes. Though on the few occasions he's been seen off the clock he seems to enjoy wearing Alolan floral print shirts and khaki pants or shorts.

Organizational Ties: Best Berry, IT department

Bio: Kazuma Sakamoto, eldest son of the esteemed scientist and computer engineer Tetsuo Sakamoto, always admired his father's work as a child and determined to follow in his footsteps nearly as soon as the first time he was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up. As a result, Kazuma threw himself into his schoolwork and his own side projects for much of his life.

Things took a sharp turn for the worse a few years prior when an accident left his younger sister Mia in a coma. Still grieving, Tetsuo started on desperate and secretive plan to bring his daughter back that would have unforeseen consequences^* Namely, solo plottage for a few J-teamers. But all the Sakamoto family knew for certain was that Tetsuo locked himself away in a private lab with a few carefully chosen colleagues, and once the doctors confirmed Mia was unlikely at best to awaken Tetsuo had her moved to the lab, only for it and both Sakamotos to be lost in an earthquake.

Most recently Kazuma, now graduated from his college studies, has moved to Alola to accept a fairly basic but potentially promising position at one of the Best Berry offices while he makes more long term plans for the future.

Yeah, not usually something in a sign-up. But I originally though about having him cameo/preview in the background of the re:glitch Jerk Dragons fight and figured I might as well keep that

Species: Shuckle
Gender: Male
Ability: Sturdy
Bio: Jack is a quiet sort who's been watching out for Kazuma for years now and is his go to mon for keeping driving wild mon away on their excursions, in large part since they've never really bothered training for more than that. Most of the time Jack can be found dozing or enjoying a few berries while watching Kazuma work.

I'm glad you like the dorky looking shuckle, they need more love =p

Besides, it seemed appropriate if he's gonna work for a berry company, lol.

Though I still have to coordinate where he'll fall in with any of the rest of the Best Berry or other plot stuff, I don't expect him to end up doing much more than supporting stuff at the moment... but there's time for that I guess.

I don't think I ever officially stated so I'm gonna do so now; I'm probably not going to be able to go.

I won't be able to go either. I'll still be going to an eclipse-viewable spot, since it's right on my birthday, but I won't be able to see you all.

Also, Ghost Hospital is now version 0.1.8.2! Mostly just bugfixes in this, but there's also a new addition to the OST!

At the moment I'm looking at moving to Idaho for college (finally) by November, but the plan is very murky at the moment so I have no clue how that's going to work out, let alone if I'd be able to squeeze a meet up in while I'm at it

We're looking at August, probably starting the 18th (a Friday), going to at least the 23rd, I think?

It's looking extremely unlikely that I'd be able to make it.

I will also be unavailable, though I do believe I'm actually in the path of the eclipse.

I thought it was supposed to be Berry Best, not Best Berry?

Best Berry is the company name, "The berry best fruit company!" or something along those lines is their slogan.

It was originally Berry Best, in planning, yeah, but I think people preferred Best Berry, so we ended up going with that and have been doing this since it showed up IRP.

That Best Berry logo reminds me I need to get the Oran OS logo comissioned.

That thing looks like both a baby and a daemon. Of course, they aren't exactly nice guys...
