Remember how the earliest RP arc pitted the J-Team against an Eldritch Abomination version of Missingno? Yeah, that's a Glitch. The Sinnoh arc is themed around battling a different Glitch as a throwback to this first story and several other early Glitch battles.
Tastes better on the way back down.Nice to meet you, Devil! I'm a new player so I don't know you very well but you seem cool, I think Uil already posted a good enough explanation for what Glitches are.
In other news, don't expect to see me once the spoiler embargo lifts, I got the game through some weird miracle but I promised my best friend I wouldn't play until he got the game too...And he gets it on December 3rd, so far I've played a little of the game but I'm still super early on so he can catch up quick, once again, I don't mind Pokémon since I already spoiled myself on all of 'em thanks to the datamine leaks, but locations, story elements, wild Pokémon, enemy teams, a good bunch of Z-Moves and many mechanics are still unknown to me and I'd like them to stay that way until I discover them.
As soon as I play the game to the point where I feel more comfortable about all of that (once I beat the main storyline maybe?) I should be back, I'm not sure when exactly that could be but I guarantee that it won't be past January for sure.
And until the spoiler embargo lifts, I'll still participate in the RP as normal, I just wanted to point that out.

"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."Aaaaand Sun and Moon dragged me back kicking and screaming here (I also need to let off some steam). What's up, y'all?
Wakka-wakka-wakka-wakka~Oh heya, welcome back!
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Hi there Ori!
Do note we have a pretty strict spoiler policy on mentioning anything Sun/Moon related aside from basic stuff like the existence of the version mascots, base morph starters, and the Alola region, so be very, VERY careful.

Contact Me!Double post because I BEAT POKEMON MOON EARLIER TODAY, GAIZ
AND I CAPPED OFF MY LIVEBLOG FOR IT TOO
(If anyone hasn't read said liveblog already and has any degree of will to I can get you a link. It'd have to be P Med or I Med, though.)
Contact Me!I'd like the link. Feedback on my live blog would also be appreciated. See my signature.
Done and done.
Contact Me!Since we've been busier that we used to be nowadays because most of us are in employment, higher education, or both, I was thinking that we may want to reformat how we do arcs going forward.
Of course, I'm not really sure about what that would entail.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Well, the past two arcs have been year-long affairs with no or rather loose plots. Should we keep them that way from now on?
Contact Me!See, I don't know how I feel about that; it makes things feel very loose, and if there aren't people around it exacerbates the feeling of not-much-going-on.
Echoing Dogs on this.
Tastes better on the way back down.So what's our alternative? Keep in mind Tagg brings this up because the "not much going on" is largely due to people having busier lives now.
Contact Me!Perhaps encourage people to do things with only one-or-two people? Find ways to give players opportunities to make their own mini-arcs without requiring too many other people.
That's already not all that uncommon.
Contact Me!I've already decided that (for me anyway) the max number of players/character I can do organized things with is probably 4 or so other people. I just don't really have many ideas of things I can do that involve other people, which is probably mostly because I'm not very good at GM-ish things
I'd give feedback, but I dunno how much I'd actually be able to help with whatever suggestions I'd give because I've barely had a presence in the RP as of late, despite how much I'd like to have the energy to be more involved.
On an unrelated note, I ended up making a post on the other forum about a VERY SPOILERY part of the Sun/Moon postgame. As such, DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK UNLESS YOU EITHER HAVE COMPLETED THE POSTGAME PLOT AS WELL AS THE MAIN PLOT, OR YOU JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT SPOILERS IN GENERAL. I put it in an otherforum post so that we wouldn't clog this thread with things that very, very much go against the spoilerblock.

See, I've only ever experienced WAAPT when it was going full on, with many people participating in generally the same plots. I feel that going forward it would be much more convenient to have some "smaller" plots heading forward, that don't involve more than like a 3-4 people. I was originally planning on doing a little self contained arc for Mitch to help set his character in place and also set in stone the smaller things I might want to establish. That being said, I think bigger arcs have their place, but with this small amount of activity I don't think it would be either very fun or very conducive to establishing a story.
Must Eat All Life Forms!Oh, also, I checked the page count a little while ago and, while the past few arcs have indeed been much slower than before, we still have about the same amount of pages per arc as we always had, just spaced out over longer stretches of time. So that's something worth considering.
Perhaps it might be worth it to consider phasing out the real-time aspect we've had for so long, unless/until we return to our old speed? And like every bit of meta weirdness, I suggest blaming the glitches.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that full stop, but I'd suggest partially. We'd probably make exceptions for things like holidays and such to some extent.

Contact Me!True, that makes sense.
My main concern would be about logistics. How do we keep track of dates IRP when they don't match RL? I say this because one of my favorite webcomics ever took about four years to get through as many days with nonstop 3-times-a-week updates, and considering how dense some of our activities tend to get...
I gotta agree with Dune, I don't think going Webcomic Time going forward would be the best idea. (It likely wouldn't even help it feel less like things are dragging on.)
I've also found that the only time it really becomes a problem is when people insist on doing big things "live", so to speak.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.
So, since I've been gone for awhile, what is this Glitch?
