In general, most of the team finished their Elite Four Challenges, though there might be some more, people are just generally relaxing on that end, though.

There's also the RP's version of the Delta Episode which essentially happened in the past, something based on Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door which is nearing its end, and a mindscape arc which is getting started, though those aren't really the best place to start off with, just noting they're a thing.

You basically just introduce your character and place him in the general area and wait for someone else to bring their character to yours.

I would offer myself to help you get started but I can only do that later because I have to study law.

But yeah, what everyone else said (though while Delta Episode is definitely in time-shenanigan mode by now exactly how far in the past it's occurring or whether the future bits are going on RIGHT NOW or if it's already over is... shaky and ambiguous. Don't think about it too hard.)

But I can throw a character or two of mine at you to help you get started, though it'll be easier if you hop in the chat.

WAAPT Proposition Number Nine-Three-Zero, Presented by Keys2tkingdom

With the ports of RBY being released soon, I thought, as a nod to the event, that Legacy TMs could be released IRP.

What are Legacy TMs?

Simply put, they are re-releases of the Gen I TMs made with current technology (i.e. the are infinite use).

Why propose such a thing?

Well other than the stated nod to the release of RBY ports, getting Gen I TMs can be a bit of a chore for some characters. Off the top of my head, I've seen "discontinued" TMs been obtained through EevveeBay, been bought from shady backalley merchants, or through exceedingly contrived coincidences. So this allows for them to be more common.

Okay but what about the mon not included in the original 151?

Well this has multiple examples so bear with me here,

• Mon that got evolutions in later Gens (e.g. Magmortar, Electivire, Porygon-Z) should be able to learn most - if not all - of what their pre-evolutions learned.
  • This is more iffy as some moves could cause a line to become broken.
  • Notable possible exceptions: Leafeon, Glaceon, Slyveon due to the fact that Eevee learned some moves from TMs that the can (probably) no longer learn

• Mon that have Gen I TM moves as Egg Moves or Tutor Moves. (e.g. Petil's Bide and Swaddle's Razor Wind)
  • Think how Stealth Rock became more available through breeding in Gen V because it was no longer a TM.

• Crow brought up the fact that some mon should be able to learn certain TM moves if the fit. (e.g. like how Scouter was able to learn Nightmare from the Move Tutor in Orre - due to the fact that Watchog can learn Hypnosis and Dream Eater)

What if I want [x mon] to learn [x Gen I TM ] like that last example?

That is something that needs to be decided on a case by case basis and should be approved by a majority before slapping, say, Rage on a Chespin.

If this takes off...

If this actually goes through, I'd like for Ren to give everyone full sets of Gen I Legacy TMs as gifts for the Holidays. Either or both ideas can be shot down, but I just wanted to put them both out there.

I'm up for this in general, though a few things

• I'd prefer it be more like 'I want these Pokemon to learn this move, are there any objections' and if you don't hear anything in a day you're good' partially because I don't think it's a big enough deal to warrant everyone saying 'yes' as much as not having any problems with it.

• Rage, Mimic, and Bide were learnable by every Pokemon that learns T Ms in Gen I, so I don't think we need to ask for any of those.

• This is more on how I use T Ms personally, but I really don't want any of my characters to suddenly receive all of the Gen 1 T Ms, whether that includes ones that are currently in print or not. This is because my trainers have a 'if this Pokemon can learn a TM move, they're learning it in case the Pokemon needs it later' mentality and that's part of why I keep track of which T Ms my characters have and, ultimately, I think if I'm getting approval for certain moves, I'd rather have just a few moves to ask which of 50-some Gen II-VI mons can learn than have people sift through a post for all 30-some of them. I'd kind of prefer my characters get at most 3 T Ms for that reason.

Pretty much fine with idea, but two questions... Which specific moves/mons are you concerned about with post-G1 Eeveelutions and other future evolutions of G1 mons in terms of brokenness? Also, if that's a potential problem we'll have to take Mega Evolutions of G1 mons or ones that evolve from them into account as well.

Also agreeing with Crow on Rage, Bide, and Mimic, especially since IIRC it still applied to Mimic when it was a Tutor move in G3 - my Sableye from my Emerald team still knows it in my copy of X.

Crow and Umbra

Crow's first concern and Umbra's concerns meet up a bit. While I don't know if any particular moves could cause instant broken-ness by themselves off the top of my head, but just slapping a move on newer mon willy-nilly can inadvertently break something because, as Umbra pointed out, Mega Evolutions can really Muk-up a newly balanced mon - primarily because Megas often get new abilities (As a random example, a Pixelate-d Tri Attack).

Secondly, I just phrased things the way I did for "all-inclusiveness". And I wasn't thinking about particulars when I gave the "Chespin learning Rage" example (as it was a Physical based mon and an Attack booting move that learns other Attack boosting moves)

Crow in particular, noted on your characters bit. I'll arrange for some Zigzagoon or whatever to pifer TMs so things don't conflict.

What Tangent said. Not every mon gets every TM. Never has, probably never will. (The only exception to this is Mew, I believe.)
