Cole's in because of Sony meddling. They want their published boy to get exposed.

Hey its a better reason than Snake and Sonic in Brawl, Sony actually has a degree of creative control. Snake ended up being pretty interesting, Sonic...well at least Cole isn't last minute.

Sonic actually fits in really well for Brawl...Snake...not as much. Even though he fits in with Marth and Ike....sort of. In totally different eras...

Now if only they also had Bomberman as well...

Is this going to start a series of Sony-exclusive characters to fighting games now? First Kratos, now Cole? I've no problem with Kratos, at least he looks right at home in Mortal Kombat. No so much for Cole.

WRONG!

Sonic in Brawl equates to reliving the great Console War of the 90s. Not to mention that Snake was supposed to be in Melee. Cole does not belong there, at all.

Most importantly...Skullomania and Blair...what's their status? Did they get the rights to those two for this game? Blair...Skullomania...they have been neglected for far too long.

Capcom and Arika still share the rights, Capcom doesn't want to buy full ownership of the rights even though they know the EX characters are in high demand (and it's not like they don't have the money), Arika hasn't done much of late in terms of games. -_-

Seven variations on spinning? They likely said yes to his inclusion last minute because Nintendo couldn't get Geno. Found at the end of a stupid maze already in combat with the boss leaving behind two visible blue beams, oh and the forest maze song Dummied Out of the disk?

edit:I was referring to Snake and Sonic being in because grumbling and begging from other creators. Sony actually has creative control. Kojima and Sega did not. Nintendo could have blown them off with impunity, Capcom can't do the same. Snake was planned since Melee, but they left him out because too last minute. Sonic shows how the last minute additions turn out. Cole is at least something that's not being added late.

Sigh. When will Super Mario RPG fans realize that Nintendo doesn't really care that much about the characters in there. Hell, even some people who have casually played the game don't really care that much about the characters in there.

Granted, I spend every new Street Fighter announcement hoping for Skullomania to make an appearance, so maybe I shouldn't talk.

Oopsie. Fixed.

You know, Cole isn't THAT bad a choice. He shoots lightning and punches out dozens of heavily armed soldiers, which is about par for the course for the Street Fighters, and the latter for the Tekkens. His design meshs in okay with the rest too.

I'm just hoping for an Xbo X guest fighter now. Freakin' Kratos.

Again, blame Microsoft. NRS wanted a 360 exclusive for MK9; Microsoft said no.

Hey, i don't really like his inclusion either. I consider C.Viper my personal scrapppy just because she uses a high-tech combat suit. And then Cole comes along mixing it up with Ryu just because he happened to get zapped with magical lighting. Talk about unfair.

Personally, Cole's entry makes me more interested in this game, as I don't usually pay much attention to fighting games. Having a character I care about is really selling me on this game.

I want Skullomania in these games since Skullomania is a Kamen Rider in all but name. Not to mention Skullomania is fun as hell to say. Skullomaaaaaaaania.

Anyways, with Cole I don't mind much, since I'm not planning on getting a Sony system any time soon, and recent poor exclusives in games I've got have made me generally indifferent to the topic of exclusives anyhow

Tekken and Street Fighter are so different, the reaction to this crossover hasn't been all that much better than to Cole being in it.
