Like I said this isn't just clickbait....it's advanced clickbait.
If you run a site that writes articles, trashing the DCEU is the best way to make money with the most minimal effort. I still remember the hullabaloo about Gal Gadot's armpits, or Zack Snyder mashing up Bv S and Star Wars.
Hollywood Reporter on this Crudup stuff.

HooplaIt's not even really that. The news came from Entertainment Weekly, easily in the top three most reliable movie news source, and it was at the tale end of the official article about Zemeckis. Since Crudup was brand new information everyone just ran with it, with Hollywood Reporter (also highly reliable) the one to debunk it. Normal click bait is spinning things one way or the other to create false information.
I'm honestly just fascinated with how much false press the DCEU is getting.
Honestly, it because the DCEU generates a lot of real press. Like Suicide Squad had news article after news article about how Jared Leto sent his coworkers used condoms and dead rats and stuff. Because he really did that. Add in the fact that The Flash has had two directors come and go and you get a movie that a lot of people are seeing as troubled without it ever going into production.

So, how likely are the people in charge of the Justice League movie to actually stick to their vision instead of the mess that happened on Suicide Squad or the half-made movie that was Bv S?
Wake me up at your own risk. The report that they changed the movie mid-stream could either be good or bad. Honestly, one of the big problems with Snyder's films is that he films way too much and then cuts it down, making the theatrical cut almost make no sense when compared to three hour director's cut. If the studio made him shorten the film and make it all make sense, that would honestly go a long way to making the film better than BVS.
The report that they changed the movie mid-stream has been debunked by several sources. The only change to Justice League is that it has a lighter tone, but we knew from weeks before Bv S was even out that it was meant to be the dark film and that Justice League will be much lighter to "redeem" the tone (Chris Terrio interview).
HooplaI don't know why people keep saying that the complaints against BVS are because it was "dark." Honestly, most of the complaints I've seen don't care about the dark tone, but rather how little sense it made, the poor pacing and plotting, and the nonsensical character motivations.
them do dont see thing like calling dawn of depression, bleak, super dark, edgy bullshit and many others? because I did, is not like ALL complain were about that but some were and people did not hide, another huge chunck of superman criticism come from not being what people expect from him which is part about tone.
and that is all im going to said about it since a) this is not the tread about it and b) the troper about you never complain about it.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Being the benevolent god he is, he signed it. There was actually a bunch of Jesus-Snyder posters there, like this one.
In other news, Zack's thoughts on the whole Pirates fiasco.
Hoopla"Zack Snyder Steps Down From 'Justice League' to Deal With Family Tragedy
Snyder tells The Hollywood Reporter he is stepping away from Justice League, Warner Bros.’ all-star DC Comics superhero mega-movie that is in post-production, in order to deal with the sudden death of his daughter. Snyder's wife, Deborah Snyder, who is a producer on Justice League, also is taking a break to focus on the healing of their family.
Stepping in to shepherd the movie through post and the shooting of some additional scenes will be Joss Whedon, the Avengers filmmaker and creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. With Whedon's help, the movie is still on track for its Nov. 17 release date."
This sucks for a lot of reasons. My heart goes out to the Snyders.
Well. Shit.
The best laid plans of mice and men.
It never is. Well maybe so for some, everybody copes differently. I'd say he made the smart decision backing away from it.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Wait wait wait...Joss Whedon is gonna help with this?
I'm not sure I'm fine with this. He did a good job with the Avengers but him being brought in during post-production might create a big tonal clash with Snyder's sections of the movie.
I still wish Snyder the best of luck with his family. I've ragged on his movies a lot but it's heartbreaking to deal with something that painful.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?My condolences to the Snyders.
They said that Zack Snyder approved of the scenes that Joss Whedon is filming, Zack had Joss write those scenes and they have to fit the tone that Snyder already set.
My heart goes out to his family.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureWe'll wait and see, then. I'm hoping this isn't a repeat of Suicide Squad.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Jeez this is awful. My condolences. My guess is that they got Whedon to fill in because he has experience in managing these big team movies.
It sounds like he was already involved in some capacity. It says he was brought in to write some new scenes for the reshoots after some initial test screenings. A smart move since he knows how to do team movies well, and his work fits well with the more optimistic direction DC's been promising.
Condolences to Mr Snyder.
Congratulations to Joss Whedon on parlaying his longtime ensemble showrunning into being able to cross the aisle and work on the major team outings for both Marvel and DC. Now if he can just get an X-Men movie made, he'll have the hat trick. And for his encore, Fantastic Four.
Nothing but respect for that. Sad to learn about his tragedy, but life goes on and he had a $200 million film he was in charge of. At this stage the production is largely on auto pilot, isolated scenes are directed by other directors all the time.
The really interesting thing is Whedon stepping in. That means he will likely get a producers credit. I've never been hugely impressed with his direction, but as a producer he has a real talent for elevating the story and balancing characters.
Despite whatever I feel for Snyder as a director, this is some terrible, awful news for him as a human being. And the fact that they have to go public with it probably in order to quell any rumors is terrible, too.
I mean, I often wanted a Joss Whedon directed Justice League, but not like this. Not like this.
Jesus Christ.
They always say the worst fear of any parent is outliving their own children...
This sucks for everyone. Especially for the Snyders.
My condolences to them.
It sounds like a misunderstanding, because the Flash was pushed back so far Crudups contract was still holding him to a production that hadn't started yet. He wanted to move on to other projects and Miller won't be available until next year anyway. Nothing about his statement implied he won't be playing Henry Allen in the future movie, just that there is a current schedule conflict.
