Suggestion: In yet another timeline, after Homura does the whole "break down crying and reveal to Madoka that she's a time traveler" thing, Madoka decides on her wish: that she won't forget Homura, even after Homura resets the timeline.
If you go with this suggestion, feel free to play it however you want. One possibility, of course, is that they exploit the hell out of the fact that it's basically a two-person time loop where one of them gets an increasingly powerful wish each time around. (If Madoka ever gets the idea to wish for knowledge — which really should occur to her after a few timelines worth of experience — she'd essentially be able to rewrite the universe however she wanted.)
Another possibility is to play it for drama: either by sentimentalitying the crap out of it (by the way, "sentimentalitying" is totally a word), or by being a Healing Type Writer and making Madoka wind up as traumatized as Homura, or something completely different.
Or a story where Oriko cooperates with Homura. Both have fore-knowledge, but Oriko knows what happens in THIS timeline while Homura knows past timelines & can guess what's coming. Both team up against Kyubey?
This was amusing and all but how could Kyousuke play Violin!Sayka if his hand is still broken?
Hitomi paid the operation. Or made a Contract. Whatever.

I assume that scenario ends with Hitomi witching out over Kyousuke ditching her on dates all the time to play with Violin!Sayaka .
Mami's ribbons go out of control and wrap up everyone she sees like mummies.

... What? What are you all staring at? I can't have my hang-ups?
This would make a amusing ideal for a one-shot crackfic.
My reaction to Mami having used Ribbon-Elemental magic all this time was to wonder how that worked. On the other hand, she's the girl with the muskets, so I'm not really complaining.
Though now I'm wondering how you used associated elements such as Hairpin-Elemental, Scrunchie-Elemental magic, and Surprise-Elemental magic...
Her muskets were made of ribbons. Somehow.
Ahem. -puts on Uber-Madoka Nerd Glasses™-
According to the PSP game, originally the ribbons were the only weapons Mami had. After she failed to save a little kid from a Labyrinth, she resolved to become stronger so that that would never happen again. She started researching weapons at the library, devoting all her spare time into studying. She found out that modern firearms were too complex, but muskets and cannons were simple enough to make with her ribbons, as long as she understood all the mechanics and exactly how they worked.
@Enthryn: Working on the concept right now! Should hopefully be done by Saturday.
@Shanejayell: I had a similar concept in mind, but now I can actually formulate it.
@Fringe Benefits: OHOHO, DO I SENSE A BONDAGE FIC COMING~~~??
◥▶◀◤ I shall endeavor to get all of them done in a timely manner. (meaning within one or three weeks).
I once had a mini-ficlet where Madoka wished she knew why Homura was so cold towards her. I'm considering developing that...
Absolutely crazy idea: Zappa does Madoka Magica. Small little stories inspired by the music of Frank Zappa. Hilarity Ensues.
In addition, anyone here interested in "original content" stories? As in, it's still about puelle magi, but different girls entirely? I mean, the setting is incredibly open-ended in this regard (as can be seeen by the number of spin-offs). The whole system presents limitless opportunities for original works within the series setting (probably intentional on Urubochi's part).
I'd be interested.
@Fritz re. Zappa: "Titties and Beer" is also about a Deal with the Devil, FYI.

I actually worked some Zappa lyrics into this story here.
Okay, guys. After two and a half years, it's done.
Here's the final chapter of Stars Above.
I just published a fanfic semi-crack semi-serious in which resident Vocaloid yandere Mayu is approached by an Incubator. Link.
My work is here. Current main fic: Tengen Toppa Gurren SolverniaApologize for how long it's taking me to make these things. Two days after I posted three papers suddenly came out of the blue, and they take priority. I will try to have them done soon, though.
Any other fans of The Doors out there? How about a songfic or series based on their lyrics?
For instance, here's Unhappy Girl. Doesn't that remind you a bit of Homura in her current state?
Okay, to continue the crack train, how about this...
PMMM meets Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Yeah...
A Madoka Magica story concept that I'd hashed out, but have little intention of writing as of yet (mostly because I have quite enough on my plate with my other story project). Cross-posted from the Concepts thread in Writer's Block on a whim.
??? AD: Canada, the Arctic Circle. An Inuit MG falls to despair amidst a time of starvation. Her tribe scatters/moves away; since there's no meguca around, she'll be there for a while, with nothing to hunt her for miles, but very little prey.
1845: two British exploring vessels, HMS Terror and HMS Erebus, disappear on an exploratory Arctic trip. Madness overtakes the survivors due to lead poisoning and starvation, with reports of cannibalism and murder. None make it out alive. The witch's familiars get their first real feast in a long, long time, and the witches multiply.
1943: a Danish girl draws the attention of a German patrol; as she is arrested, bound for Theresienstadt Camp, her mother, father, and younger sister slip away on a fishing boat to Sweden. She returns three years later, saying nothing about her time away, reuniting with them; she disappears soon afterwards, last seen headed north in a storm.
1952: a troop of Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish mercenaries get a most unusual job offer from a mysterious employer: escort, to the far Canadian north, a young Danish girl. Note: bring weapons and plenty of ammunition. Strangely, the girl—despite being in all appearances an ordinary teenage girl—is effortlessly able to keep up with them, occasionally dropping hints about repaying a wish. One of the hired guns is startled extremely: turns out he knew the girl's sister back when he was just a lad in Theresienstadt; at some point she'd saved his life and enabled him to get out of the camp alive. He's been looking to repay the debt since then.
[meat of the story goes here.]
EPILOGUE: 1966: a Norwegian mercenary steps off the plane in the Congo, enlisted as a Thompson gunner in the mercenary war; there's something off about him, and he hints that he's never been the same since his experiences a decade and a half ago—oddly fatalistic, treats death with weariness instead of fear, with something less than human in his eyes. In his wallet are the pictures of two sisters, whom people assume are his daughters. When asked, he gives his name only as Roland.
The moral of the story? Don't listen to Warren Zevon songs while browsing Madoka Magica wallpapers. Wires that have been crossed cannot be uncrossed, especially once you start hearing alternate lyrics of "Mami the headless Puella Magi!" in your head.

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.^Sounds interesting.
Going back to serious ideas, I'm kinda surprised there haven't been any Oh My Goddess crossovers.
I've seen one-off artwork and opening-video crossovers with Black Lagoon. Roanapur would honestly be an extremely interesting backdrop for witch-hunting; it'd be impossible to cleanly separate the magical and nonmagical worlds there, given power politics involved, and that could result in some interesting tales. I mean, it'd be very easy to imagine a wealthy meguca hiring a couple of mercs from the Roanapur Freakshow Circus to take on a particularly tough barrier, or a meguca-led street gang carving out their territory and attracting the notice of the big powers.
(And, yes, these are not subjects fit for the typical magical-girl show. PMMM is not the typical magical-girl show, so it all works very, very well.)

Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.I've just started with Black Lagoon on Toonami, and I could go for it. Revy would also have made a good Puella candidate, especially when she was younger (yeah, I've read some of the spoilers on her past).
I'm also surprised there haven't been any Ghostbusters crossovers. I actually have a half-baked idea that most of the "ghosts" in those movies were witches, and Walpurgisnacht actually escaped from their nuclear holding pen; her being sort of a nuclear-compacted Portuguese (wo)man-of-war of witches.
Alright, I have a writing itch I need to scratch, but no ideas are solid enough to work out a story. Anyone want me to write short (1-10,000 words) fan fics based on your ideas. It could be anything. Introspection on the character's relationships. Stories where one or more characters kick ass and chew bubble gum. Stories filled to the brim with ho yay. Even such silly ideas as Hitomi falling in love with her hand. Nothing is too low or too great for me!
