This is assuming the peasants even give a fuck about immortality rather than, say, getting enough to eat or education or whatever. Just because it's available doesn't mean everyone is going to want it.
So what does all this have to do with opinions on less wrong?
Who watches the watchmen?Because half of its culture is transhumanist wanking, presumably.
I thought LW has gone out of fashion, anyway. People in here have moved on to fanboy over Paul Krugman these days.
"Atheism is the religion whose followers are easiest to troll"I've read the article on emotions and irrationality, and I disagree with the notion that there can be situations where calm is an inappropriate reaponse.
Who's Paul Krugman.
Specifically a rather well known economist who pointedly disagree with consevative economic policies and hyperbole. More interesting than Yudkowski by an order of magnitude (as you can obviously tell, I'm one of the fanboys:-)

And it appears that this thread has terminally derailed. Less Wrong is no longer interesting to talk about.
Locking it up.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
If immortality was possible and only the rich could access it, then it wouldn't be a problem for long.
As there would be no rich people left in pretty short order. A global pandemic of peasants revolts would be the least horrible outcome.
