Dog Days

Nice to see a lil' bit of equality goin' on. Instead of a girl doing 'befriending', now we have a guy doing it between cats and dogs. Hah.... I can already smell the countours of the plot

I rather liked the slight subversion of Defeat by Modesty this episode, myself, although it makes sense if you think about it; getting beaten into cat/dogball form is probably considered a lot more embarrassing, especially for someone with a high rank. So it'll probably happen to Leon eventually.

I'm looking forward to seeing that trio of girls in the OP, personally - they're with the Lion kingdom, and apparently commanded by Leon's brother.

I think I'm gonna give this show a watch. I need something unambiguously fun and cute to combat several weeks worth of Madoka Magica and Evangelion XP

It's diabetes' taste isn't unambiguous, since there is potential room for some darkness along the way, but right now it seems like the drama generating source has already been stablished.

Well then I guess this anime is going to suc- OMG TEH ARMOURZ AND TEH CAPES.

Ew the main character is just another ordinary middle school studen- ZOGM HE WEARS THE CAPE AND NON-MODERN CLOTHES TOO. AND IS ACTUALLY COMPETENT BASED ON THE NON-MAGICAL SKILLS HE HAD BEFORE HE WENT TO THE FANTASY SPORTWAR WORLD.

The Defeat by Modesty thing was hilarious. Mainly because it happened so calmly (i'm not counting what happened to Eclair.) and also because of how the amount of clothing lost really doesn't usually fall into such a case. (Again, not counting Eclair.)

I also like how Shinku was like completely calm when he found out Eclair was female by grabbing her breasts instead of going crazy like most male protagonists that do that.

I wonder if their equipment repairs itself after a while too. No idea why the pink haired princess' generals didn't have shields though. I think.

At first I found it kind of weird how none of the regular soldiers used that energy attack thing (any variation) but then I thought of something like Mook Chivalry.

Really? I didn't notice excessive display of them, at least. I don't really care about that anyway though.

Duh, The First Law Of Shonen. No one is allowed to be as cool as the main characters. Honestly, it's common knowledge

Also, I totally loved Leonmichelle's reaction to her Clothing Damage: "I'd continue, but it'd be too much fanservice for both countries." Totally priceless.

It's been established by now that the higher-ranking warriors have better equipment. That's why they can use the Seal Cannon and the regular mooks can't. In fact, knowing this setting, I wouldn't be surprised if equipment allocation was regulated by mandatory game balance - so, only a few cannon-wielders and armour-wearers per side.

Think of it like Dynasty Warriors. The generals can take out hundreds of Mooks because...well, they can. Thats why they're the generals!

(I've been playing Dynasty Warriors 7, and its amusing to imagine all the mooks you are slaughtering exploding into Kemono Balls)

It is those two... and in 7 get specials like Dog Days which is scary. And oh god I demand a DW style Dog Days game! If only for the death animations.

Dynasty Warriors + bosses like Strike Force with platforming elements.. it would be awesome!

I liked how Rescue The Princess seems to be a whole, legit subgenre of their war games.

Honestly, the confectionary names are starting to get annoying.

I'm slightly annoyed that they appear to be pushing the princess as the primary Love Interest, seeing as I find her to be the least interesting of the female characters so far.

Ah, well. There's always the opportunity to pawn her off on Ricotta...

Milch, of course. Last I checked, Leonmichelle preferred to be called 'Her Majesty'.

And besides, Ricotta/Leonmichelle would get in the way of all the kinky, kinky Eclair/Leonmichelle hatesex.

Hmmm, that'll be disappointing if it comes to pass (I'm not too fond of her either), but if we get Eclair/Leonmichelle, all will be forgiven.
