Actually, the premise that the OP quoted is a foundational idea for the Troper Fanon Workshop - that under the pretty veneer of harmony lays racial tensions. The facace that the Princesses attempt to cultivate is just that, a facade, and a select group of ponies aim to expose this and do away with it.
Not that I whole-heartedly agree with that line of thinking, but it's not difficult to spin things to look that way at all.
The premise you jokingly bring up in that paragraph is interesting, and makes for good Deconstruction material of the show.

Happiness is zero-gee with a sinus cold.So you want to change the site's name from a jokingly self-deprecating thing to a unilateral condemnation?
At first I didn't realize I needed all this stuff...I compared Spike being Twilight's student/servant to how imperial powers tend to have their colonial subjects educated in the home country (Gandhi was educated as a lawyer in London), as well as its similarity to family members of clan leaders in Tokugawa-era Japan were held in the capital as hostages to prevent rebellion.
I want to see that happen to Shady.
For an obvious Stealth Parody of your average Moral Guardians' overanalysis article, it does raise a few good points, like Pinkie's mechanical prowess and adaptability, which seems to be the earth ponies' main racial gimmick.
Or the fact that there are a plethora of entirely sentient races that don't seem to be all that equal to the ponies, to the point of being subject to what could only be described as completely direct slavery, like the sheep or cows. Is that what you want to show to your children? That the lower classes are to be exploited and their rights stripped?
In case you didn't notice, that last parragraph was a joke.
