So Melia's Enlightenment skill halves the level penalty for ether attacks in addition to raising the hit chance by 15%?
No wonder she's so good at being the sole DPS character against unique monsters that are 10-20 levels higher than you without even needing any specialized equipment!
So that means that if you're fighting a super boss while significantly below level 99 and do have Enlightenment, then a level 10 Summon Earth will have (100 - (200 / 2) + (10 * 5) + 15)% = 65% accuracy against it, but if you only have level 6 Summon Earth then it will only be 45% accuracy?
Enlightenment doesn't raise hit chance by 15%. What I meant was that Her Serenity skill tree raises her Agility by 15, but she can choose the Passion skill tree instead for an Ether boost (100).
Oh, the Ether accuracy penalty of superbosses is 110 for enemies 10 levels and up. Despotic Arsene only penalizes 99 points if you are Lv. 99.
Lv. 6 Summon Earth should have 100 - (110/2) + 6 x 5 = 75% hit chance against Avalanche Abaasy.

Where there's life, there's hope.Oops, I misread the table on the wiki page for the Honesty skill tree.
So strange that the table there doesn't actually say anything at all about how much Enlightenment increases accuracy by.
So you're saying that the level penalty for ether attacks is a lot smaller than the level penalty for physical attacks? Does every enemy have a level penalty, or just superbosses?
Also, is the miss chance from the level penalty the only thing that can cause Melia's attacks to fail to inflict a damage over time effect (sucks so hard when that happens during a chain attack)?

The penalty is based on level difference. It applies to everyone. You can look it up at the "level" page on the wiki.
As for the second question, yes. There is no Ether attack that has 100% accuracy hen the enemy is 10 levels higher than you.
Where there's life, there's hope.http://xenoblade.wikia.com/wiki/Bana_(XC2)
Bana went from drug lord to an MCU villain.
Where there's life, there's hope.Funny enough, in my fanfic adaptation of Xenoblade Chronicles (not yet written), Bana's one of Zanza's disciples. And instead of it being called The Trinity, it's called the Quartet.
They reused Bana’s name for that guy? Fitting.
That's kawaii as shit.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I agree with Zelenal.
Reminds me of the harpy from Daily Life.
That's a pretty cool design though. I adore the green/pink colour scheme.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobSo we have some more info from Milan Games Week with a newer build set in the same area as Games Com. I'm copypasting the info from this NeoGAF thread if you want to see some of the images. And here's the Youtube video with a time link to where the game is shown off.
- You can toggle a simpler UI in the middle of battle that removes descriptions, helpful for removing clutter.
- The UI issue where the level of special art is not shown for the first stage has been resolved.
- The Unique Monster Theme has changed again?
- The Fonsa Myma Night theme can be heard
- There's a mechanic where you can combine the Break, Topple, Launch with the Special Arts
- Extending Chain Attacks seems to be based on Bursting the Elemental Orbs rather than random affinity between characters.
- There's an announcer like Baten Kaitos who exclaims when something rad is happening
- There is probably way more choice making at any given moment than either Xenoblade X or the original.
- When the game begins, Rex is working as a Titan merchant, selling resources from the more plentiful Titans to ones that have none for money. While on a job with a team of mercenaries, he meets Pyra, who wants to go back home to Elysium, the tree where all creatures come from.
- Blades do not level up, but as you use them more and more, their affinity with a Driver upgrades and they become more powerful and effective, especially in combos.
- Those that are trying to stop Rex and Pyra are just after them because they’re Wanted, not actually knowing why they’re trying to stop them. This Wanted status was put on Rex and Pyra by some higher, unknown force.
- Nomura designed everything for Torna’s Titan, from characters to ships to housing and more.
- Nintendo contracted a whole bunch of manga, anime, and game artists to design dozens of characters, Titans, etc., including people who have worked on Fire Emblem and Macross, among other things.
- There is a theatre where you can watch performances that tell the world’s story. These are actually important to the story, one particularly so.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I'm iffy on the announcer. Xenoblade combat is as chatty as it is.
Where there's life, there's hope.Agreed. It worked OK in Baten Kaitos Origins, but in something like this, it’d just be another voice on top of all the others.
Although I guess it depends on how much the announcer actually says. The BKO one had a few things he’d point out, but it wasn’t like every little thing was commented on.
Yeah given how important audio cues are in these games adding one more might cause unnecessary clutter.
All this talk has made me pick up Xenoblade 1 again, and my word it never quite struck me how suggestive Fiora's battle noises are.
Heart of Stone- "Today we'll be introducing Rex's friend from the Nopon tribe: Tora (voiced by: Nonoka Ai)
- "A boy with a love of all things mechanical who admires Drivers"
- "Excitely likes calling Rex his "Big Bro"(Aniki) as a result!"
- "Unfortunately, while Tora doesn't have the qualities of a Driver, he still has many tricks up his sleeve! But that's for another time!"
So Rex starts out as friends with Tora and Nya? That doesn't happen a lot in JRPG.

Where there's life, there's hope.I mean, Xenoblade 1 had Shulk, Reyn and Fiora. Or do you mean the multi-species bit?
Yes. The three probably live on separate Titans as well.

Where there's life, there's hope.More info on Tora's companion, Poppi.
Remember, Poppi is not a BLADE, and Tora is not a Driver, but they mimic the Driver/BLADE relationship since Poppi was seemingly built by Tora.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Her hairstyle reminds me of Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug.
The Nopon in this game are rather steampunkish as opposed to Bamboo Technology.
Where there's life, there's hope. Two new creepy rare BLADES.

"Today we have one more extra Blade to introduce, named "Azami", and also designed by illustrator "hakus"!"
"She will be voiced by Saitou Chiwa"
"She has a fragile beauty in a veil of decadence."
"But I dunno about those things dancing and swirling around her...
"A strange yet charming Blade don't you think?"
Video Tweet:
"And we'll show you a glimpse of Azami's Blade Resonance as well!"
"Looks like I've been captured/captivated by you..." (referring to her dialogue) "What a mature sounding phrase!"

"Today we have the introduction of another rare Blade named "Kubira"!
"A gorgeous Blade that exudes an aura of royalty!"
"Designed by illustrator "hakus" and voiced by Miyano Mamoru
Video Tweet
"Here we have Kubira's Blade Resonance scene."
"What high-handedness! Almost as if he would have you submit to him without a single thought! How scary..."
I dig it.

Fixed, and added some more notes.
