I think there are teams that are impossible to beat superbosses, like Shulk/Sharla/Melia.

Non Indicative UsernameOnly superboss I managed to defeat was the one on Valaak Mountain's peak, the one that isn't a level 120 super dragon. Everything else just manages to evade my attacks with little effort.
You can kill Ancient Daedala (and any other Superboss) using the Demon Slayer trick.
Attack a Krabble (or anything near the boss) when you have a full party guage.
Call your party to come to you
Run towards the boss (keep targeting the Krabble)
Beat that enemy to an inch of its life
When you hear the Unique Monster music, initiate the chain attack
Make sure you kill the Krabble with Demon Slayer. If you succeed Ancient Daedala will get toppled
Order your party to attack and keep toppling the thing.
Make sure you have Spike Resist + Dunban's anti Spike skill though. Beating Daedala gives you Night Vision gem. Night Vision VI + Agility Up VI will makes sure Shulk/Dunban/Seven will hit everything.

Non Indicative UsernameTried running the game on my Wii again, now it's running smooth as usual. Maybe the Wii was just dusty or hot yesterday?
Now it doesn't look like shit, though, so I'm happy.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! When I first got Xenoblade it would have that issue and only play after about 5-6 attempts.
Buying a lens cleaning kit off of eBay fixed the issue. (And removed a lot of dust built up)
As a result up until I reached Xord I needed to eject and return the disc a bunch of times to play. In a way it made playing it even more satisfying though.

One Strip! One Strip!Having fun with Xenoblade 3D. Currently in the process of fully recruiting Seven. I think I'm going to go with a tank setup for her this time. Get those aggro-up armor pieces and set her up with double-attack gems and a skill combination of "double-attacks are crits" and "crits heal you". Turn on Second Gear and watch the Drain Tank go.
I have a message from another time...I've found that, overall, Seven does better as a dodge-tank than a defense/HP tank.
This does mean going with that armor, though.
I sure said that!My Seven was the crit-tank build. She was primary DPS in taking down all the superbosses.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The best Unique equipment for Seven is the Ether set headpiece along side the Speed set chest.
Having the Haste gem in the armor lets you save a slot in her weapons, and debuff resist helps her resist the physical defense down debuff from Speed Shift. No, seriously.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Is there anyone who doesn't end up giving her the Sedna Drones?
Heart of StoneI've ran a low-level cheating run (cheats to keep my experience low, max AP/SP/money/Affinity coins/affinity with party members on gain, Mega Heat on gem heat) and I've thought of either using Gun drones or Cannon Drones simply because she can never hit with them or if she does, it's blocked, meaning she can't get any more hits off.
At least with Cannon/Gun drones she can hit cause they are ether based.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I didn't, though that was largely because I wanted the Gem slot (the Sedna drones don't have any). Seemed to work out well enough for me, though I didn't use Seven much for a lot of the later stuff.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!yyyyyeah, Speed frame makes her into a super good blink tank, and I've definitely used that in the past
But I both want to try a different setup, and really want to use her without that armor. And I figure the drain tank skills have higher value on a defense build anyway.
I have a message from another time...Can dunban be built in such a way as to be a high-powered DPS instead of a tank? Or is that a fool's errand after he learns that passive skill that increases aggro? I want to have someone who can exploit Break to cause Topple (caused by Seven's Double Blade), and the options for that are just Dunban and Reyn.
Or maybe I can just forget about Double Blade, wait for Final Cross, and make a team of Melia, Seven, and Riki, in which everyone can bypass Break and inflict Topple immediately.
I have a message from another time...He's usually a dodge tank, so he maxes out agility and focuses on beating the hell out of enemies without getting hit. Most people run some variant of skills and abilities focused on boosting both agility and damage output, so he should be able to act as a tank and dps. His biggest issue is that ether attacks are really bad for him since they're much harder to dodge, and he takes longer to scale into effectiveness since he needs a significant investment in his agility stat before he becomes fast enough to avoid most attacks.
If you want to go absolutely max damage and eschew tanking, he can also do that with Reyn as the tank, but usually he can fulfill both roles. I've often seen people convert Reyn into damage and have Dunban take over tanking once he is able to, since Reyn can then abuse Berserker and his powerful attack options like Magnum Charge, Sword Drive, and Lariat while still providing a topple and stun to chain with Dunban.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Problem with eschewing tanking with Reyn is that his talent art is useful for nothing but.
I have a message from another time...That's what Magnum Charge is for; it converts his talent gauge into double damage boost for his next arte, which usually becomes an absolutely devastating Sword Drive. Further, Mad Taunt can also work as a wild card turn in a Chain attack, and gives Reyn a crapton of aggro for Dunban to whisk away with Blinding Blossom. Admittedly, it would be far more effective if all characters were under some form of player control, but Mad Taunt even on a non-tank still serves a very useful role.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Oh so that's how that move works.
I might have to give a Reyn/Seven/Sharla team a shot. Or maybe Reyn/Seven/Riki.
edit:
Hm. A problem with non-tank Reyn presents itself. The AI doesn't really seem to get non-tank Reyn. He still likes to use Mad Taunt by itself, and AI Sharla defaults to using Shield Bullet on him. Which is understandable, but unfortunate. Since Seven is also a character that the AI doesn't fully understand, I think I'll try Dunban after all, since all I need to do is remove stuff like Peerless and Blinding Blossom.

I have a message from another time...Actually, from what I've seen, AI Reyn tends to use Magnum Charge if its off cooldown and he has a max Talent gauge, but there are some other issues with that.
The first is Reyn tends to build up his talent gauge faster than the cooldown of Magnum Charge, and since the AI doesn't like it when a character with a taunt doesn't have the aggro, this means Reyn will typically have the aggro at times. This combined with Reyn's damage aura (Berserker) giving Ao E to Mad Taunt doesn't help.
Second, AI Reyn doesn't know the meaning of control. It will always use Magnum Charge when it can, then use it on the next physical art, no matter if it's Sword Drive, War Swing, Lariat, or Bone Upper, nor will it try to save Magnum Charge to use with Sword Drive.
As for damage dealing Dunban, Peerless is widely considered his best aura for this, as it gives him and the party more Strength.
Heat Haze is also good. It removes all aggro and prevents him from getting anymore aggro, but guarantees critical hits.
Gale Slash and Worldly Slash are considered his required arts. Soaring Tempest is also good as it increases the talent gauge for each hit, and when paired with Heat Haze and a ton of enemies, it can fill up the party gauge quickly.
Electric Gutbuster and Steel Strike are there for if you want to topple, Tempest Kick if you want an ether attack and a buff remover (after Gale Slash), and Final Flicker if you want more Talent Gauge.
Outside of that, every other art or aura is either situational or better suited for tanking Dunban.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."There's always something to not like about the AI.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.AI Riki is the best by being the only one not completely terrible.
