Nope. The Megaman creators thought they had to be invited, when really they were supposed to request having him in. By the time they realized, it was too late.

I tried to choose people who haven't been in vs games yet over those who have and those that rarely show up over those that are always around. Ryu/Chun Li seem like they are required, and they're good for name recognition. Ness, Lucas, Marth, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, and Pit weren't that widely know until Smash Bros, even Samus hadn't been around for years.

As for Medusa over Pit, that's a Capcom Vs Whatever tradition. Dormamuu before Dr. Strange? Shuma Gorath before both Dormamuu AND Dr. Strange? Black Heart, not Ghost Rider? Warmachine, not Ironman? And since the Nintendo version of Medusa is the goddess of darkness, I put her next to the Sun goddess.

I understand your reasoning, but obscure characters don't make everything better. Dr Strange fans are kind of bitter about that, and I'm sure Pit has a larger- or at least more vocal- fanbase than the Doc.

Case in point: The rage when MVC 3 didn't have some characters from MVC 2. Yes, it was bound to happen, but some of those characters weren't clones, and would have fit in the game just fine. You have to find a balance between vetrans and newbies, otherwise you either get the same old stuff or get something that looks like a unholy lovechild of MUGEN.

EDIT: Also, only a madman makes a nintendo crossover game without CAPTAIN MOTHERFUCKING FALCON. I mean, what were you thinking? Do you want the fanboys to kill you in your sleep or what?

The F-Zero fans think Phoenix is a worthy successor to Captain Falcon, the Smash Bros fans could probably get used to it, and its a gag on Marvel vs Capcom 3.

Yeah, but the Smash Bros fans would not. You're forgetting that when people hear "Nintendo" and "Fighting Game" in the same sentence, they think "Smash Bros!". For that reason, expect at least half the Nintendo side to be from previous Smash Bros. Same for the Capcom side and their VS Series.

Hypothetically then, depending on how bad the backlash, I would replace Phoenix with Captain Falcon and Captain Commando with Phoenix Wright.(Or someone who was from a previous Capcom vs whatever).

As far as what's mentioned? Not that I know of, Nintendo and Capcom have only had crossover discussions twice and nothing ever came of it.

Oh, and I edited the list, just for fun, because it was apparently offending people. Hopefully it is slightly more acceptable now that your precious Captain Falcon has been included and half of the roster has been in crossover games before, less of the more "Obscure" characters who I sprinkled in.I'd still keep Phoenix(F-Zero), T-rex(Fossil Fighters) and Bald Bull as alternative suggestions, maybe Wesker/Captain Commando too.

Ryu is not enough Breath Of Fire? Phoenix is their for Mythology Gag on Marvel VS Capcom 3, and a time traveler from the future, for more gags with Porky and Mike Jones the Onimusha character and the T-rex.

Heh, cool. Nina was probably my long-shot character for Mv C 3. Specifically Nina the 2nd, but her most notable attacks tended to be Ice, Wind and Lightning element, which Storm already does, so yeah.

I do believe that the Nintendo Rosters will kind of look similar with some changes here and there. Also, I see Ganondorf playing more like Dormammu as a basic idea.

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.

I chose Amazon because professional wrestlers seem to be a mandate for Capcom fighting games and I wanted someone from the Pro Wrestling for its infamous "A Winner Is You" quote. I chose Amazon because he bites people, and looks like swamp thing.
