I hope this works. she thought in the silence of her soul. She was tired of everything about her being pomp and circumstance. Was it really neccesary for there to be cameramen when she picked her starter? Regardless she knew this wasn't the greatest disguise. A red wig and a pair of green contact.

"Umm...." her Snivy said. "You look pretty.

"I know this is the worst disguise ever." she said. "But it's not like people look for C-list celebrities on the street." she said.

"That's the spirit." said Zeal as enthusiastic as ever. "Take life by the talons and the rest will follow." he said.

She sighed. "The mixed blessings of freakhood." she was munching on a Castelacone on Liberty Pier.

In an underground bunker, near N's Castle and to the south, a rather odd man started a rather odd plan, for reasons most likely only he could understand. He giggled to himself, mixing some chemicals in a way stereotypical of mad scientists, "They called me mad...I will show this whole world!!" He mixed some powder into the first beaker, "The brilliance!!" He poured the result into a huge canister filled with pokeball shaped depressions, "Of Ingram Arigetto!!!"

After a while, the black pokeballs were done and he handed them off in an equal basis to his "daughters", who had just been watching the whole thing go down.

Quatre was just staring, "Dad's such a ham!"

Trece sighed, "He loves his work..."

Each now had six of these black pokeballs each. Ingram smirked, "Now each of you can catch pokemon even if they belong to a trainer, Snag em all! Gotta snag em all!! Now go girls! Fill your Snag Dex!"

They all left and Trece said in complete deadpan, "You might be right, he has way too much fun."

Luke just bought a Casteliacone from the stand. "Finally! I thought I would never get one of these babies!" Luke exclaimed. He walked around the city, eating his snack as he walked along. "I wonder if there are any trainers for me to battle." He thought out loud.

She jumped at the chance.

"Hi there. I hear you're looking for a fight?" she said. "Names Jo Foster and I'm willing to oblige."

Luke then stuffed the entire cone in his mouth and got out his Pokeballs. "Sure. My name's Luke." He stated. "All right then, Scout! Come on out!" He threw a Pokeball, and out came a Ferroseed.

"Then.... Go Zeal!" The Rufflet took to the docks as fast as possible. " I Will Not Fail You.

After performing in last night's production, Matt decided to do a little "sightseeing" of sorts in Castelia with his good pal Marcel helping him down the sidewalk. He was a blind man, yes, but he could definitely take care of himself, as seen in the play.

"So the streets radiate out from the fountain in the center of the city, huh?"

Marcel replied cheerfully. "Yeah! It's up ahead, in fact."

They kept going, with the sound of the water splashing growing louder as they got closer until they got to the main plaza. Marcel led Matt over to a bench, where they decided to take a rest.

Just watching the two on the bench didn't seem to give much indication as to anything odd, aside from the man's large, unfocused gold eyes that may indicate his blindness to someone. Aside from that, he was a skinny, brown-haired Caucasian man with a strange smirk on his face. Oh, the smile. It was sort of his default expression now, he slipped into it without even thinking. Maybe it's 'cause he's taking his roles too seriously, all of whom are creepy, villainous, or degenerate types. Yeah, that has to be it.

Luke grimaced. "She had to send out a Flying type first. Dang it, I could've taken advantage of that with Stealth Rock. Oh well, might as well use that move anyway." He thought. "Scout, Stealth Rock!" He ordered.

The Ferroseed expelled many rocks from his thorns, which landed on Jo's side of the field.

Stealth Rock. She thought with a smirk. Fat lot of good that will do him. "I only have two Pokemon" she confessed. "Can this be a two on two fight?"

Luke nodded. "Sure." He replied. "(Must be a beginner trainer. This'll be easy.)" He thought. "Are you gonna make a move?" He asked.

"Hone Claws." she ordered Zeal.

The Wargle complied. "E PLURABUS UNUM." Zeal shrieked.

Kaitlyn tried to keep herself from laughing.

Luke just smirked. "Scout, start spinning!" He yelled.

The Ferroseed began to perform Gyro Ball by spinning rapidly, and attempted to ram into his opponent.

Zeal was hit but he charged on waiting for his friend's command.

"Fury Attack." Kaitlyn said. She was still laughing at Zeal's Latin. He charged at the Ferroseed with Accuracy and Power.

Scout was completely unfazed by the attack. The Rufflet was injured from Scout's Iron Barbs. "Scout, Curse!"

Scout stared at his opponent. "Okay, FU-"

Luke gave a stern look toward Scout. "Not. Literally." He said.

"(You take the fun out of everything.)" Scout thought. His defenses strengthened, and he became slower.

She chuckled at the Ferroseed. But she took his buffing turn to her advantage. "Ok Zeal. Time for Wing Attack!" It was the most powerful move the Rufflet knew.

He flew toward his opponent. Signing.

"I can fly higher than a Bravairy. If you are the wing beneath my wings."

Copper walked along the busy shore front of Castelia City. In one hand she held a string that Sunny was tied too, the result was a chattering flowery balloon. The other had a map that was fluttering in the wind. She'd seen most of the sights, Burgh had been an interesting guy, different from Bugsy. Very artistic. And quite a fight too, but her fliers had defeated his bugs.

Now she just had to decide where to go next. The desert or the forest? Copper liked forests but there weren't any deserts in Johto. Tough choice.

"Ooh! Battle!" Sunny called, interrupting Copper's thoughts and alerting her to the familiar sounds of a trainer battle. Curious she wandered over. It looked like a bird pokemon of some sort versus a metallic spiky thing.

"I wonder what kind of pokemon they are?" said Copper, half to herself, half to Sunny.

Scout was knocked back slightly. "(Ha! I can take any damage you dish out! Bring it on!)" Scout thought.

Luke smirked. "All right, Curse again!"

Scout's defenses increased again, and he slowed down even more.

She knew it was going to be a whopper when he finally ordered him to attack. She said.

"We don't have time for any risks. Zeal, it's time for another Wing Attack."

He charged at the Ferroseed. "I will fight for the honor of AMERICA!"

Scout wasn't even knocked back by the Wing Attack.

Luke then chuckled. "Heh heh. (That should be slow enough.) GYRO BALL!" Luke yelled.

Scout then spun rapidly, hurtling toward his opponent.

Zeal couldn't take it anymore.

"I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country." he said.

"Drama King." she said.

"I guess I'll have to drag her into this...." she said.

Zelda nodded before stepping on to the battlefield.

"My name is Zelda. Pleased to make your aquantiance, sir." the Snivy said.

Scout responded. "Nice to meet you too." Scout replied. Zelda was then hit by the Stealth Rock.

Luke then sighed. "(This match is as good as over.)" He thought. "Scout, Curse again!"

Scout further increased his defenses and became even slower.

Zelda said. "I don't think I'll be winning today."

Kaitlyn cheered her up. "Don't give up Zelda. Use Leer."

She stared at the Ferroseed disapprovingly.

Luke then shook his head. "(Leer all you want. It's not the defense boosts I care about.)" Luke thought. "GYRO BALL!" Luke yelled.

Scout then spun even more rapidly and hurtled toward Zelda.

Zelda collapsed. It was clear who had won.

"Come back princess." she said. "Good fight. I really picked someone out of my league." she said sadly.
