Is there a case in fiction where the aliens actually did the research and are somewhat scared shitless of the humans?

G.G., why do you never directly relate a topic of disscussion to your own work?

Scared of plagerism, or are these threads simply musings?

I am thinking of ideas but I am still thinking where my story should go.

This is done to great effect in an Aliens comic, although the Xenomorphs never develop a fear of humans.

The Aliens captured human beings and then started subjecting them to tests. First, the humans had their basic physical functions tested — there's a particularly poignant panel of an Alien sticking their fingers down someone's throat to induce vomiting. They'd feed the humans, as well — I don't know what with, it changes from time to time — and observed the results different substances had on their subjects.

It was nightmarish. The Aliens didn't have technology, but their capacity for objective consideration and observation is second to none.

Also, depending on if you belive U.F.O stories, there are aliens up there doing just that right now.
