To be fair, there's not a lot of "gushing" allowed either, only on the Crowning and YMMV pages. And also, Theres No Such Thing As Notability - there are like 80,000 pages on this site. That Guy With The Glasses might seem like they're everywhere, but I'm willing to bet that they're not really. Less so than shows like Buffy and Doctor Who anyway.

Nothing. Because it's a wiki without notability guidelines. We can just cut out the examples that don't fit, or don't follow the site rules.
Kill all math nerds@ Tiny Tim, the problem is that because this vocal minority is some odd combination of casual and regular tropers, they can't be reasonably stopped, they're an invisible force of nature that is not unified a and has very few common traits that can be identified and easily defended against. It would be like trying to stop the wind from blowing, they're a natural segment of that develops out a group, like political radicals.
The only way to maybe get rid of them would be to beef up membership barriers and editing guidelines to the point that we may as well be Wikipedia which is not bad, but it means we exclude a lot of things we might of missed simply because we're to strict. We try to be a little inclusive here.

The Blog The Art@Emeriin: Well at least you weren't kidding about Dr. Who having it worse. (7000 fucking references)
If the best answer that I can get is "Yeah, there is almost nothing anyone can do" then I think I will head back to home base.
@Ko B: Thanks for at least showing me that not every member here is completely out of their damn mind with TGWTG, but I'm going to stick with the DHI forums for discussing things. And good luck with that Busy Street trope page, 'cause you're gonna need it.
Thanks Tim, feel free to come by anytime if you wish. I may decide checking out DHI as well. Assuming that Jordan no longer wants to lynch me.
Bye Tiny Tim!
Read my stories!I really shouldn't even be in this, but just cuz we have a lot of info on a certain subject, doesn't mean we're all insanely obbssed with it. Wikipedia has tons on info on certain things, does that mean they are obssed with it? They, and we are just putting info. And if certain things have alot of stuff to mention, we're gonna put it here.
But that would involve actual effort, which could be better spent whining online.
Kill all math nerdsSo, anyone want to help me make BS's page?
I would even bother. It would probably bring the bile of both Busy Street's legion of trolls and their corresponding haters.
Eh, there's no such thing as notability, and as long as the article is written in a non-bitching fashion, I'm okay with it.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Okay, here are some tropes that I think could be applied:
Acceptable Target: Pretty much anyone that has attained some level of fame or popularity on the internet can be subject to critique from BS. TGWTG and Screwattack among the more prominent examples.
Author Appeal: Like I said, Snob, Phelous, and Lord Kat are among the reviewers they tend to like. As well as Rooster Teeth's non-machinima related material.
Brutal Honesty: Due to the "Sarcasm does not work on the internet" belief, the majority of BS's articles are written without much humor or sarcasm, preferring instead to be very frank when expressing their opinion. Perhaps because of this blunt way of expressing that it tends to contribute to BS's Love It or Hate It reputation
Caustic Critic: Towards other internet critics in general.
Deadpan Snarker: While articles tend to be written without sarcasm, their not without snippets of acidic snarkery.
{{Don't Like Don't Read}}: This article attempts to deconstruct this trope.
Fan Hater: Probably a YMMV trope here. Their less than flattering opinion of the majority of TGWTG's fanbase can be seen as this.
Love It or Hate It: Another YMMV It's either a site where people are allowed to honestly express their honest opinion and critque over something that is regarded as popular on the internet without being subject to the He Panned It, Now He Sucks! treatment at any other forum, or an unfunny, almost mean-spirited Fan Hater site prone to making Ad Hominem insults.

Yeah, go figure that a highly influential, but esoteric science fiction series that's been running since the 1960's that's featured experimental plots and consepts and had several reworkings attracts attention from nerds. Same goes for self-aware horror series, webcomics about roleplaying games with a deconstructionist take at stories, and a tabletop game that crams millions different scifi, fantasy and horror consepts concepts together and sprikles it with a dose of British humour.
It really bothers me that when we get critics it's always "too much TGWTG", "too much Anime" or "two much freaky sex stuff", never "too much Avatar The Last Airbender" "too much Warhammer 40,000" or "too much Discworld". I guess when you dislike something, it sticks out. But the site is a bit more multi-faceted than critics give it credit for.
the statement above is falseWell it is literally impossible to have to much Disc World.
Not gonna argue there.
the statement above is falseI'm personally amazed/ Almost all of the shows with like over 5000 wicks are my favs. I love Discworld, Last Airbender the show, BTVS, 40K etc.
That's no where near our topic isn't it?
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyOh I was bored, so I made the Busy Street page, Ko B.
Please help to keep things sane

Tiny Tim: My honest guess? Minimal continuity, which means no Continuity Lockout, relations to previous and relevant interests, and above all completely accessible with no money needed.
It's a casual internet junkie's idea of heaven.
