General Sonic The Hedgehog thread

Problem with most of these fangames is that THEY NEVER GET FINISHED. I remember Sonic Nexus was really nice but it ended up getting combined with something else and that hasn't been finished.

I liked all three advance games though I thought Sadv1 was the weakest of them. Adv 2 while having some inane design choices and had funner levels. But adv3 is the best, save for the stupid hit detection on the crush kills. You don't even have to be standing under a block to get smashed by it. But the partner system was pretty sick and the bosses were fun.

I was listening to Crush 40's awesome song Sonic Youth again, and I was just thinking: are we supposed to call our fandom the "Sonic Youth" now?

No...? Why should we?

I was just thinking we just deserve our own Fan Community Nickname.

And "Sonic Youth" wouldn't exactly be a good one.

I just found that yesterday on the awesome music page. Damn, that should been the theme for Generations. It fits perfectly.

speaking of, I believe I have every ost from the series. I've got enough for an entire library souly from Sonic. Currently jamming to Ethno Circus. Probably one of the catchiest ones in the series.

Nope. "Sonic Youth" is meh.

Ethno Circus is one of the weaker tracks in Rush. It's all about dat Back 2 Back, boy.

Well, Sonic Youth is the name of a classic rock band if I'm not mistaken.

We should call ourselves something corny and lame like Chili-Dogs or Hedgehoggers.

(Y'know, because we hog the franchise from time to time??)

Or 'hedgies'. *shot*

Back to Back is also awesome. Same with Ska Cha Cha Cha and Raisin Me Up. That and Jeh Jeh Rocket sound like something out of a Chao rave.

However, the best song in Original Groove Rush is either the CD version of Vela-Nova or What U Need -Blaze Version-. Of course, what's better than both of those is if you take both stage versions of What U Need and combine them. That is a song of gods right there.

My favorite is "Get Edgy" from Altitude Limit.

But it's too bad we can't call our fandom "Sonic Youth" despite it being semi-officially given to us since it's copyrighted.

I love all of the music from each zone in Rush, both regular and Blazy. I even like what they did for Invincibility.

In Rush Adventure, I'm most partial to Plant Kingdom and Machine Labyrinth.

I downloaded Rush Adventure's OST and, aside from A New Venture, it's rather disappointing. Still good but no where close to Original Groove Rush.

I agree. I find Rush more worth returning to, and partially because of the better soundtrack.

I love me some Digital Circuit and Circus Park from Shadow the Hedgehog. Also, Cryptic Castle.

Can you upload the combined Blaze and Sonic tracks? I'd combine them myself, but my Audacity doesn't love me anymore.

I'm sorry but wat da frick? Also I say you should actually play the game because the music themselves work in part with the levels.

No love for Johhny Whisker theme? Sky Babylon? Big Swell? Boss theme? Machine Labyrinth? Or are you one of those guys who doesn't care for instrumentals?

I'm not saying that they're bad, I'm just saying that they're not as good.

I've been planning on doing that but I haven't yet since I haven't been bothered to create a decent cover for them.

Rush Adventure is much more well designed than the original. Not to mention the story is better.

Going a bit more obscure here, the Palace That was Found, Let the Speed Mend it, Labyrinth Zone, Sonic Chaos Final Boss, and Space Queens.
