And that's a problem with the camera. Not the control. Or rather, a problem with the lack of control over the camera.
If the camera sucks in one game with a particular gameplay style it can be fixed in another game with that gameplay style.

SA 1's camera issues I think get overblown by people just not being good at the game, like there's some instances where yeah it's wonky but it's not as broken as some make it out to be. I like the camera being movable and not locked like generations' is.
I must be in the minority, but I actually never had a problem with the cameras. Sure some spots are a little awkward at points, but once your used to how everything controls you should be just fine. I've noticed the players who started with the later games seem to have this problem the most. I mean, if you want to have bad camera and jerky controls, play Sonic R sometime. It's doable if you practice a bit, but other than the awesome music, it's not terribly fun to play. And of course there's the Tails Doll.
"No will to break."When it comes to Generations-styled remixes, Nico CW's the man. Chaos Angel Classic, Star Light Zone Modern, Metropolis Zone Classic, and too many others to count.
"No will to break."Check out some of Cyan Blur's remixes. He mixed the Sonic 3/Sonic& Knuckles themestogether, and he redid Sonic Heroes in 16 bit. And they are both GLORIOUS.

Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Speaking of which, Genesis x AKA Urban Flow's 16 bit remixe of Biolizard's Theme, City Escape, and the Legend of Renegade's remixs of Pumpkin Hill act 2, and Pyramid Cave are awesome. They were going to make an entire album with every SA 2 song done in 16 bit including 3 and Knuckles styled act 2 remixes of each track, but never got finished. Still, there's a good 30 tracks and all worth checking out.

"No will to break."So, what about E-122 Psi's hacks?
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DWait, what? What fanfic are you trying to bring into canon?
ROM HACKS, Swamp Brain. Like this:
What if there was a Sonic rom hack where Robotnik is the hero and Sonic is the main antagonist?

Humanity wants equality yet supremacy stands in the way. Destroy that and we can embrace equality.I would actually love to see a game from the Eggster's point of view. Apart from SA 2. Just focusing on the relationship between him and Sonic.
What would the gameplay be like? The only time they really interact is in Boss fights, so what could he do before then? Straight up pollute and screw over levels for Sonic to go through when your done?
"No will to break."I've always thought an Eggman game should be a little more about resources and making mooks, like the Overlord or Pikmin games. That Eggman would create Badniks and order them around. He might have different weapons he could equip his Eggmobile with to turn it into the various boss mechs as well.
I just realized Rick Astley's infamous Rickroll song alludes to giving up, letting down, and running around. Speedhighway.mp3
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! An interesting design might be a two-player Sonic game - where one player plays as Eggman and designs boss weapons, weakpoints, etc while the other player uses Sonic and tries to defeat the boss design.
I'm sure there would be a way to design a creation interface to make that more simple - though the simpler it gets the less nuance could put in the design, I guess.
The boss could either be given a pattern or be controlled directly by the player - maybe there would be a "moves" counter that limits the actions the boss could take before exposing their weakpoint.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'd love to have the Eggman part made into a web site where you could design levels and bosses and post them as downloads. Also make the interface accessible for modding and fan created materials.
"No will to break."Maybe a Blaze game would be cool. Imagine using her pyrokinetic powers.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DI'd love a procedural level generator for Sonic :D
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! As I look at various videos of the Sonic Hack Showcase, there was this particular one involution everyone's favorite rotund, yet surprisingly physically fit, professor...
I wouldn't mind something along the esthetic of Flicky's Island. Still retro enough to keep a classic feel, while allowing 3d platforming. But also go into straight 16 bit sidescrolling in places. And allow the implimentation of loops that aren't just automatic spectacle peaces with no momentum. If Sega ever made this site, it'd keep the fans happy for many years to come. Have a 15 dollarlog in fee, with the basic items and objects to use. However, certain things can be bought with money or perhaps winning local level creation sites for credit.
"No will to break."Now, how about Sonic Colors?
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DBest game in the series.
I think I only had a problem with the camera in Sky Deck in Final Egg. Of course, that's only Sonic's story.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."
