That Hydrocity mini-boss. The logic Eggman was using to justify it. "Every time I use my Eggmobile I lose, so lets let Sonic drive it, while I use my athletic prowess to beat him."
Lol I thought Sonic just beat him to the pod.
To be fair, he had mines in the water, so every time you tried to suck up Eggman, you'd be taking one with you.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. Not that it mattered as hitting Eggman nullifies that a bit.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does....I wish I had known that when I was playing it.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.S-Ranked Death Egg, Street Highway, City Escape, Seaside Hill (Modern), and Shadow.
Street Highway and City Escape are great in Classic and amazing in Modern.
Both Seaside Hill is fun, though I don't know for sure how to grab the go-kart. It's the hardest to S-rank so far. Damn boulders.
Shadow is not a threat at all, though winning the fight quickly is not very certain.
Where there's life, there's hope.Classic sonic's best level in Generations is Spagonia.
Modern? Spagonia and speed highway are probably my favorites.

Ugggggh I got a Game Over on the final boss. I do not want to slog through Titanic Monarch again.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? When you've played the final Blue Spheres stage, does the cycle start over at the first Blue Spheres stage, or just the first one that you didn't win?
I think it goes back to the earliest one you didn't perfect.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The 10 minute time limit is logical in the sense that you want people to get through these stages in relatively quick fashion while giving them somewhat of a challenge.
On the other hand, it doesn't make any sense from a story perspective. What, is it like Portal, where Robotnik is pumping in a slow-acting neurotoxin into every stage, even the ones that take place outside?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSonic Death Throws himself if he takes him longer than ten minutes to complete an act.
It's an honor thing. Go fast or die young.
In 3D it'd take 100 minutes for Sonic to do that...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Sonic's attention span is ten minutes at maximum. Heck, in Sonic CD, if you left him alone for three minutes he'd leave the game entirely

A few observations
Haven't seen Custom Hero going 3D, looks like this game (and the anniversary) is overwhelmingly 2D. I would be sad if it's the case.
The Flamethrower looks broken. It's like Cheese on steroid.
So the female vocal songs are exclusive to Custom Hero?
Where there's life, there's hope.Honestly, considering how often SEGA has screwed the hooch when it comes to 3D, I wouldn't mind if they axed it completely, at least until they found a way to make it work. And Boost is not a way of making it work to me.
It is for me.
Where there's life, there's hope.Personally I imagine it as Dr. Robotnik managing to get the capsule out if you don't beat the stage within 10 minutes.
...It's not perfect logic, but most of the Acts where it wouldn't apply explode at the end anyways.

Which isn't what Sonic is to me. Sonic at it's best is a mix of platforming and speed; of not just going fast, but knowing what you're doing while doing it, while also giving you a chance to slow down and explore if you want to and venture off the beaten track. Whereas Boost just turns it into a one-player racing game.
Which is exactly why I love it.
Where there's life, there's hope.Just beat the true final boss of Mania. It... wasn't what I expected. Still, it was probably the toughest Super Sonic boss I fought that didn't have a silly gimmick that ruined the fight. I never noticed that the Phantom Ruby and Infinite made the same sound until I rewatched the recent Forces trailers after being Mania. I suppose that means that the true ending was meant to imply that Classic Sonic went from Mania to Forces, as opposed to it being a Sequel Hook like I initially thought.
Now I just need to complete the game as Tails... and probably in Sonic and Tails mode if I feel like it.
x6 Still looking forward to Forces and the Avatar gameplay. This is the first gameplay video I've watched, so I was surprised to see the rest of Sonic's friends (and some new faces) there.

@Boost: I would like it if they axed it for their regular Sonic gameplay...
But then make a racing series featuring the Boost gameplay.

This song needs more love.
To be fair, now one knew wtf an echidna before Knuckles. And hedgehogs actually weren't all that well known until Sonic gave them a household name.
