<3 Hetalia~
Newest episode of World Series...I think the China fangirls were waiting for this. For once, he actually looked masculine.
Said China fangirl here. Mind linking me to the vid?
@OP: Ah, I love Heta Oni! I'm really looking forward for the the next subbed video.

Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.I watch it for the comedy. I'm a few episodes behind on the anime, though - since the episodes are so short, it's more fun to watch a bunch of them at once. China, you say?
And oh god yes Heta Oni is awesome. I'm behind on that too. Hah.
I thought this was the de facto general Hetalia thread, but a new one is good too.
I don't really follow anything except the anime, but I do check his blog from time to time. I'm getting a little tired of the fact that there only seems to be chibi sketches now, but oh well.
I'm not really involved in the fandom, either, nor in shipping. There seems to be a lot of wank, and I don't like the series enough to want to get in the middle of it.
If I had to say, I watch for comedy, but the (good) jokes are so few and far between that I sometimes don't really know why I'm still watching. I guess because of the sunken time fallacy, or out of habit. Some of the fan artists are really good, though, which I guess is the part I most enjoy out of Hetalia.
Tumblr here.Mind linking me to the vid?
I've tried getting into it. Really, I have. But it's just such a massive case of wasted potential...I mean, the premise is irresistible, but what do they do with it? Turn it into borderline shonen-ai fangirl pandering; it's blithe take on WWI/WWII Germany being just one of many irksome qualities. Plus the fanbase bugs me (present company excluded, naturally :)). Still, I've heard the dub is fun, so I might check that out.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Glad to see there are other people here who know of Heta Oni, I was thinking i was the only one. Heta Oni, in my opinion, brings a whole new meaning to "Useless italy" Though I'd love to start gushing about it, telling you which parts of it is awesome and bitch tears worthy, i'd likely spoil it for many other people, which i don't want to do. Heta Oni is worth watching, if only for the plot twists. Not to mention there are a couple decent MA Ds based on it.
Part time Hipster, all time idiot.I've been in the APH fandom for two and a half years now. I love every minute of it.
There are actually a lot of people who watch Hetaoni. Try going on Captalia. Almost every other page has a post about it.
^^ It's basically Moe Anthropomorphism of countries and their relationships; such a work is bound to be inherently offensive if you take it seriously.

Oh, I don't really find it offensive. Like I said, I love the premise, I actually wish it made more of an effort to satirize the different countries; in fact, it's not offensive enough, really. It's just all the fangirling that bugs me.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Mmmmmyeah I guess...[grudging acknowledgment] But I don't go too much for Moe in general, especially not shotocon Moe :P
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Eh? Shotacon? You mean Bishōnen (though of course YMMV)? The only shota I can think of is Chibitalia, and even that is more of a chibi thing than a shota thing.
Of course there's Sealand. But then there's not a lot of Ho Yay with Sealand, precisely because he's so ridiculously small.

Oh yeah, they're chibis, so I guess they aren't really shotos, are they? But I don't mind bishies, just the shipping and fan pandering. Still, I'll give the dub a shot and maybe rewatch it soon. Some of my good friends are huge fans, so they keep pushing me to watch it.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!>Shotos
Che boludo, a quien andás llamando shoto?
Now that I made the pathetic imitation of an Argentino, I've noticed that there aren't any South American countries in APH. And important countries like Portugal,Australia or Yugoslavia are absent too.
I can't stop listening to thisI think that there are sketches of an Australia, somewhere...
Also, the Heta Oni page should be updated, but due to me being lazy, and not knowing how to Spoiler, I don't want to risk making a fool of myself...

^^ Check out Text-Formatting Rules for help. You can spoiler by typing [[ spoiler:text you want to spoiler ]], without the spaces.
I think there were sketches of Australia and New Zealand on Himaruya's blog lately, but still no South Americans/Central Americans.
I like the designs of Norway and Iceland. I'm not super familiar with what their personalities are supposed to be, though.
Sealand I like because of his dub voice.
Tumblr here.Yes, Sadist, Canada is one big frosty moe. Which is why I want to see someone write Canada/Italy, maybe they bond over cooking, Italy teaches Canada how to cook pasta, and Canada teaches Italy how to make Pancakes. Also, my headcannon states that Germany is deathly afraid of Canada, after what happened in WWI
Part time Hipster, all time idiot.Of the main characters, my favorite is Japan. Supporting countries...Greece, Lithuania, Canada, Sealand, and Prussia.
BTW, Paint It White is out now. The dub will apparently be released in the fall.

All I want is the Sub! Wheres that damned sub! Bah, oh well...
And on Heta Oni...It will never be animated/Voiceacted/drawn out by Himaruya/etc.
What about Heta Quest and Roma Heta? Are those any good?
Part time Hipster, all time idiot.I've heard good things about Roma Heta, but not much about Heta Quest. And... the movies out? Does that mean it's finally been subbed, or just that the DVD is out?

That reminds me of an RP I was in once where Canada and Italy were played by the same person. We called the person playing them "Canitaly, the ultimate uke" or something.
Hey, guess what, I noticed there wasn't a Hetalia general thread here, so I may as well do so. Whats your favorite nation? Do you watch the show for the cute guys (And eventually sticking 'em in a ship...), for the comedy, for what little history it uses? Lets hear what you guys have to say.
Also, before I forget, have any other Hetalia fans here have watched Heta Oni, or any of the other fanmade Hetalia games? (They're a bit more like visual novels, because you can only watch the subbed ones on Youtube...)
