Screw all that, I want Space Quest 7!
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.IT'S SPELLED SIERRA IT'S A REAL WORD ARHGHHGGHGHGFG Jdskdf;jakd;f
...Please excuse my outburst.
I'd love to see a new Phantasmagoria, but I don't think Telltale would be able to do that a good job with it. They mostly make comedy games, and I'm tentative to see how they do their realistic games now.

Je Suis "Aware"I'd rather have Telltale do Lucas Arts games than Sierra games, if for no other reason than that Sierra games are incredibly frustrating.
Why I am afraid of fences. The only Sierra adventure game series that didn't make me want to shoot Roberta Williams.
It would be nice to see Larry return, But I want Space Quest.
Because it's one of many that she didn't actually have anything to do with (hint - she was only involved with King's Quest, early Police Quests and Phantasmagoria, all others had different lead designers)? Corey and Lori Cole did most of the Qf Gs. Also, the fifth one sucked, but YMMV, of course.

Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are. There was a marginally recent remake, plus there are so many copycats of it that it's no longer feasible. If we're talking non-adventure games, then the firstest Sierra pick should be Turbo Science =)
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Well, Space Quest is a given. I can just imagine all the making fun of Sierra Games hijinks we're going to see. It will be glorious.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireWhat's funny is that most of the games Sierra is most famous for were actually made by Dynamix and published by Sierra. :P
I'd say either Quest For Glory or Space Quest, but made with Lucas Art's philosophy towards gameovers - if you do something that's going to make the game unwinnable, give the player a gameover right then and there, don't make them play for hours longer (and save) only to find out that they're screwed because they didn't throw the boot at the cat.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.That. I also hope that falling to my death is less common in their version of King's Quest. That one where you have to play as the wizard's slave in the beginning (names and numbers escape me for the moment) was absolutely terrible about falling to your death on very unfair terrain.
Quest for Glory would also be really cool.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI agree about unwinnable situations. As amusing as I find them, they tend to frustrate people to no end. Either make it immediately obvious that they just made the game unwinnable, or kill them right afterwards.
Speaking of which, I would hope that they keep the numerous deaths. They're almost iconic of Sierra.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderTelltale does, indeed, follow that philosophy. So, it's highly unlikely that Sierra-esque puzzles and enforced sequences will be coming back.
Well, I thought they might keep some of the... Sierra magic of old. I just hope its a safe balance of Lucas Arts/Telltale and Sierra.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIs there even people who worked on the sierra games help out on this? I do see irony of former Lucasarts workers working on something from a then rival studio.
I know Roberta and Ken Williams are perfectly content in their retirement.
But part of the fun of Sierra games is the ridiculous deaths. Later games allowed you to reboot to before you messed up. I think this would be a good balance.

Video Game Census. Please contribute.Keep in mind, Al Lowe is retired as well. Although he didnt work on the King's quest games.
I wonder how the two guys from Andromeda are doing.
Jane Jenson seems to be working with another company right now. (reminding myslef to look into getting Gray Matter at some point).
Video Game Census. Please contribute.I do not know much about the company behind King's quest other than Al lowe having his own website where he brings up funny(And clever) jokes.
If Telltale is as good as many say (I never actually played any of their games), then I would be for King's Quest, Quest for Glory and Leisure Suit Larry. Although I think that Space Quest would go well with Lucas Arts-like humor.
I'm torn on the deaths. On one hand, it would, without a doubt, lessen the potential frustration, but on the other hand, I kind of liked them. Although I'm not sure if that's just Nostalgia Filter...
Then again, Telltale's design philosophy is apparently more like Lucas Arts' anyway, so it's kind of moot.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I just thought of something: The Police Quest series, if that counts. Don't know about SWAT, though...
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelFor all intents and purposes, Telltale IS Lucas Arts.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI have no idea who "Sirrea" is, but personally I don't think this will turn out well.
Name me one time one company took over another's property and actually improved it. Just one.
Time's up.
The only Sierra adventure game series that didn't make me want to shoot Roberta Williams.
Roberta didn't work on every game that came out of Sierra. She had next-to-nothing to do with Police Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory or pretty much any game that wasn't in one of the various Roberta Williams Anthologies (or the second King's Quest Collection Series). I think she had some involvement with Gabriel Knight, but that was mostly Jane Jensen's game.

I have just found out that the studio behind Sam and max and Strong bad's game for cool attractive people have gotten the rights to reboot King's quest. As much as I find it rather surprising that former lucasarts workers are tackling with a sirrea product. I can't help but feel that people are asking as well as demanding for Tell-tale to bring back other sirrea series. So which sirrea series you want Telltale to bring back?
I call for bringing back the proposed Leisure Suit Larry game Lust in space(as well as an episodic course after it) only if Al lowe himself is having a part of it. Same goes for Torin's Passage since Al had the story planned out before the first game was done.
