I started Anime World Order recently and listening to everyone form the beginning, I'm in the summer of 206 right now, Daryl Surat is a bit of a Nerdy elitist schmuck with Gerald close behind, I'm catching up with Radio Lab, and I'm going to get into Writing Excuses when I have the time, and perhaps Podcasts can be moved to the Radio subforum?
The Blog The ArtHmm, good idea, hadn't though of that.
EDIT:...Except, having taken a peek at the Radio board, no one goes there. So no harm in leaving it here, I think.

I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Well, I don't do it regularly, but I once listened to an episode of Podcast 17 that had Ross Scott on.
Speaking of Freemans Mind, I listen to Mind The Gap whenever a new one comes out. Kinda funny to listen to.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelRegularly: Cast Macabre, Drabblecast and Drabblecast B-sides, Dunesteef, Pod Castle. Sometimes I listen to Escape Pod, a few other literary podcasts, and a few religious podcasts.
WARNING: SUM OF DIS CHAPTA IS XTREMLY SCRAY. VIOWER EXCRETION ADVISD.I actually like Anime World Order. I tend to find a lot of my favorite anime from there. Also, I listen to Spill and the Greatest Movie Ever podcasts. Good stuff. Paul Chapman of the greatest movie ever sounds like he'd be a troper.
Hello again tropersGreat Scott! Mousa, go and archive binge on the Greatest Movie Ever Podcast, to offset the effects of Geek Nights Binging! That said, I've been to an anime panel by the geek nights guys and it was really good.
Hello again tropersThere's a great history podcast called "Hardcore History" which does fantastic shows on various historical subjects. They don't come out frequently (one every two months roughly), but the research and delivery is entirely worth it. His multi-part pieces on the Eastern Front in WWII, the Punic Wars, and the Fall of the Roman Republic are eye opening, and worth a listen.
I listen to Anime World Order as well, because it's actually really entertaining and informative: the podcast pretty much runs the gamut from the history of Japanese animation. However, I have to confess that I'm finding Daryl increasingly annoying, especially when he runs off on some "funny" tangent that invariably makes some kind of outside reference. Not to mention what he said in his Violence Jack review...
Other podcasts I listen to are The Greatest Movie EVER! (my favourite movie podcast, too), Geek Nights, Podtoid and The Electric Hydra, War Rocket Ajax, Awesomed By Comics and Anime3000's The Speakeasy Podcast.
And now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to try and make a trope page on Anime World Order...
This hand of mine is burning red! It's glow is calling me to defeat you!I'll be right behind to help forge the page
Hello again tropersWell, I've made the Anime World Order trope page now. Have at it!
This hand of mine is burning red! It's glow is calling me to defeat you!I haven’t listened to any for a while. I used to listen to Crap From the Past but just fell away from it after a while. Does that even count?
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!True story: I sometimes follow up episodes of This American Life with something from Anime World Order. Gotta keep yourself balanced.
I also recommend Comedy Bang Bang and pretty much anything from Earwolf. The Apple Sisters have recently become a new favorite (although I'm sure many will find them shrill and irritating).

Stuff that updates weekly: Are We Alone/Big Picture Science* (by the SETI people, but a general science podcast), Planetary Radio (by the Planetary Society, about astronomy/sciences related with space missions), Science...sort of (about things that are science, things that are sort of science, and things that wish they were science), and the Gameinformer Podcast.
I also listen to the Tolkein Professor but that doesn't update regularly.
I only ever listen to one podcast these days and that would be Talk Radar. Still, all these ones you're all suggesting sounds good.
Meh, I figure Daryl is ok. Say what you will, the guy does have some interesting points. That said, I think the elitism is something he ramped up just for the sake of comedy. Whether or not it works is obviously subjective.
Hello again tropersHaha! In truth, the elitism and dickishness are actually part of why I love listening to AWO. Go figure. :)
-high fives pamachu-
Hello again tropers
I can't be the only one around here who does, so this thread is to discuss your favorite podcasts. For myself, I highly enjoy Anime World Order, Fast Karate For The Gentleman, The Greatest Movie Ever!, and G4's Feedback and X Play Video Podcasts. What about the rest of you?
