...3000 pages?! I gotta ask, what's the name of that book, I've never even heard of one that size and I'm quite the Star Wars fanboy!
Sounds like the Star Wars encyclopedia my buddy bought a few years back that was like $100 and had literally everything up to the date it was published.
IIRC it was called The Star Wars Vault. I think they had to split it into three books to make it easier to move around.
Edit: No wait The Vault was a different book. I'll see if I can find the databook when I get home.
I think I might remember the name being The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
Edit2: Yep, this is it. 1400 pages so I remembered the page count wrong.

....Would any of you be kind enough to get that for me as a Christmas present? Pleeeeease????
Isn't most of that non-canon now though?
"Yup. That tasted purple."Yes, but some of us still hold parts of the Legends canon close to our hearts. And Disney still sells it.
And if the sequel trilogy turns out to bomb we have something to fall back on.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I'm a stubborn ass and refuse to follow the discontinuity order.
Which doesn't matter a bit. As long as you don't expect the new media to follow the Legends stuff, you can go ahead and follow whatever headcanon you want to.
Also, my extensive experience with the EU has basically dulled me to negative feelings in case the sequel movies suck. There is no way Abrams can do worse than the EU did at times, the bottom of that barrel was a scary place indeed.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Sometimes there is too much emphasis placed by the fans on what is or is not canon. The stories that were written exist, and if you enjoyed those stories that's all that really matters.
I feel the same way when it comes to historical or even religious events. Someone tries to argue whether or not they actually happened and I just say "It's still a good story, though."
The Post ROTJ EU kinda fell into a rut about halfway through the Vong War -yeah yeah GL mandating they kill Anakin basically forced them to reshuffle everything- and only really started to try again when it tried to tie into either the clone wars or Legacy.
I mean I understand them dumping all of Anakin's stuff onto Jacen -I do find it funny that GL was proven right since Jacen's fall was basically beat for beat Anakin's... the thing they claimed wouldn't happen with Anakin solo's journey.
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Far as I'm concerned, everything is canon unless it's specifically contadicted (or contradicts something).
That is basically my approach as well.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."That's how it used to be officially.
Then Disney rocked up and said that any pre-existing stuff that's not in the films or TCW isn't canon.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I just hope I can get a decent experience without paying $100 in microtransactions and DLC and knowing EA...

I might just shell out money for any DLC that brings us more planets and stuff. Anything else, unless I find it appealing, can stay away.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.There's a Star Wars sale on PS Store. If you want any of the old Battlefront games for PSP/Vita or wanted to try Bounty Hunter, now's the time.
Well I never got the chance to play Elite Squadron or Renegade Squadron...
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Was battlefront on PSP even any good? It's the PSP, it didn't handle 3d games very well let alone the multiplayer ones.
I have it. I wouldn't recommend it. The lack of a right analog stick led yo some very awkward button configurations, and there's a lot of content missing.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.If you have a vita you can map yada like the face buttons or D-Pad to the right analog stick so that's not that big of a deal but content removal blows.

I've got a PSTV so I don't think it'd be that much of a problem, but eh.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.This isn't exactly Battlefront related, but it still gave me some laughs - ever wondered what would happen if a A-10 Warthog went against an AT-AT?
Pffft xD

I saw the original three on laserdisc before I knew english and then watched PM in cinema because they had swedish subtitles. I knew english well by the time Aot C came out.
The original two Battlefronts, Bounty Hunter, the Zahn books, Empire at War(and the expansion) and the LEGO games were pretty much my main Star Wars knowledge for my early years. Then I got a databook from one of my father's friends(he was the boss of Disney in Sweden and knew I was interested in Star Wars so he bought it as a birthday present for me when visiting London). The book had all the official info on everything from Revan to Mara Jade and was around 3000 pages IIRC. That book opened my eyes to how large the SW universe was.
