Zhangy: Sadist is from Ottawa, I think. :o But she doesn't really come here much anymore. >.>
Eyes: Hello! :3
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅYeah, I'm from Nova Scotia.
Now all we need is someone from the Territories. :o And the Prairies, of course. :p
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅI'm from the prairies

Alright, We`ve got all the province regions! :3
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅZersk: I've never met them. Probably before I joined.
I vote we form the JLC.
Zhangy: She was cool. :3
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅi was born in calgary, same hospital as cory monteith (aka Finn on Glee)
though it's not exactly a huge surprise given how big the hospital is.
I don’t even know anymore.I'm from Toronto and living in Guelph. Also, JLC is seconded.
16 days until Canadian Thanksgiving...
"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol Badguywow. i actually completely forgot about that. we just celebrate american thanksgiving at my house (it's easier to remember because it's very close to my sister's birthday), though we did do canadian thanksgiving once after moving to wisconsin. my mom's friend brought a banana cream pie!
I don’t even know anymore.Canadian Thanksgiving is why we never have family at our house for Thanksgiving. They all have to take extra time off work to come visit.
Hello this isn't to much of a necro is it? (Probably is)
Anyways I'm from B.C.
Question for Canadians: do you perceive "hey, neighbour!" to be a stereotypically Canadian phrase? I was reading that Target Canada's first ad campaign is "Can't wait to meet you, neighbour!" and wondered if it sounded like Americans trying to sound Canadian, and if that would turn off some people.
I mean, it's no "Let's go down to Target and get a two-four, eh? Something something aboot something."
Despite my best efforts I seem to be becoming the sort of person who gets offended on other people's behalf.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI think of 'hey, neighbour' as more of a folksy American phrase from another time.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Can't say it is. That's weird.
I will start doing that now, though.
Yeah don't think it is.
Hm. Thought I'd come across a depiction of Canadians with McKenzie Brothers accents saying "hey, neighbour!" a lot.
Part of what makes it feel aggressively Canadian to me is spelling "neighbor" your way.
Fresh-eyed movie blog@Para Ah but other countries spell it that way too (granted none of them are the States), I admit I didn't notice the spelling probably because its what I'm used to.
Yeah, I usually think of it as "the British way", but just the fact that it's "foreign" shakes the whole sentiment out of a "just another ad" space.
"Quotation marks". (Do you call them "inverted commas" in Canada too? Actually, I guess that'd be 'inverted commas'.)

Fresh-eyed movie blogPeople really say inverted commas? I thought that was a joke-name for them.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Hi, I'm from Canada as well. Ontario more specifically.
Pretty much everyone buys bags here.
Also, hello. Born and raised Ottawan (I think I'm the only one of TVT, sadly). Planning to go to Montreal for university if my grades are good enough. If not, Toronto, Kingston, or possibly further west.
