There's a topic for it, it's just lost in the pages somewhere.
I really like it. Phil is basically the main reason I love it though. Like the first season was fantastic but lately I've found myself laughing less. The gay couple has become too stereotypical and I hated how they rehashed Phil and Claire's RP thing from last valentine's for this season's valentine's ep. Other than that though it's still pretty funny, and I still love everything Phil does (Luke comes a close second).
Yeah, I made a topic sometime last season, but it died 'cuz apparently no one here watched it. Which is a shame 'cuz it's friggin' amazing.
Rawr!Wow, you'd think the show would be off the charts for tropers...
(wo)Man of a thousand voices... In her head.I know, right?
Now posting as Enzeru, this serves as an emergency avatar backup account...*confused*
I like the show :L
In 9 hours and 23 minutes, you'll be mine...Modern Family is hilarious. My favorite character used to be Manny, but now I think it's Luke.
People here not liking Modern Family does not compute.
Gloria, Phil, Mitchell and Haley are my favorites! TRICKERY FOR THE WIN! And the fail!
I watched the first episode.
Man, talk about a Rapid-Fire Comedy.
Also, Gloria is hot. Jay, you lucky bastard.

Started watching season 5. Still funny as hell.
I love the bit with Phil and dead baby birds.
Also, baby throwing up whenever gay marriage is mentioned.
Ep 5 - Goddamn it, Cam, Claire, why the bloody fuck you couldn't wait after getting sitted, you onery dumbasses. The ending was supposed to be heartwarming, but it only infuriates me.
I have to say, though, I loved Cam being a Magnificent Bastard in the end.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I've watched the show since the first season. Now that it is in syndication I'm re-watching episodes I hadn't seen in a while and while there are some clunkers, the show is really funny.
I think the family photo all in white is one of my favorites.
I was about to write a spoiler. Whoops.
I have to catch up with season five. I'm pretty sure the UK hasn't shown any of it yet. But I liked the show.
One of my favourite things is that it doesn't muck about with any of that overdone UST crap and just focuses on making likeable characters who get into funny situations, which is surprisingly uncommon for sitcoms.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. That was the first image of the series I saw. So I thought it was going to be about just a bunch of posh upper class Americans (then again, I'm sure they are at least above middle class), but then I watched the first episode and finally the one with family photo where everyone's clothes get dirted up, it was awesome.
I miss Dillon. I initially thought of him as those generic, rebellious teenage daughter's annoying boyfriend, but he grew on to me real quick due to his surprisingly innocent heart.
Now onto season 5, ep 9.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Ep 13 is out.
The last two minutes were absolutely brilliant.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Watched the new ep.
- Every once in a while, we're reminded of how scary Gloria can be.
- it's amusing to see Claire trying to match the kids up.
- It's annoying how petty Cam can be. I'm never going to get used to it.
- Gloria and Jay being good cop bad cop on Lilly...also man, that girl grew into quite a Magnificent Bitch.
- Huh, it's surprising to see that Mitch's boss is only mistaken as a Bad Boss. That's some clever bait and switch.
- Man, Claire has nice legs.
- It's amusing to Phil being called the best dad...while he's on drag.
The latest episode was a fairly pure and simple example of comedy of errors and I loved every moment of it.
This show has a consistently strong showing.
The last five minutes were genius. I especially loved Gloria being (mistaken as) part of Phil's magic and Jay's Cuban.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I want to show it in class as an example of farce. It was a great episode.
Yeah, it did make me wonder "Damn, how did they come up with this?!"
Remind me, what class are you teaching?

Ah, neat.
In another note, I think the Godfather parody was one of the best moments of the whole show.

Oh God, I almost literally died of laughter when Luke was told "Quick, grab your little hoe!" and immediately hugs Haley.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. You know what, I'm going to post my reactions anyway even if nobody reads it.
Season 6 episode 12.
So Luke has been staring at his hot neighbor who has been sunbathing outdoor. Given his age, I'm pretty sure he used the view as a...stimulation aid.
I loved this exchange:
Luke: Uh...maybe you can let me touch something of yours.
Girl: Okay, then you can let me kick something of yours.
Nice.
Also, the clown is back. I laughed hard at the scene where Mitchell was brushing his teeth, spit the water in the sink, when he puts his head up holy shit there's a clown on the mirror. XD
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Anyone notice they seem to be increasingly making Alex look frumpy? I just do not like the Hollywood Homely trope at all...
The latest episode was really well done. All done with Facetime through Claire's computer. It will date itself horribly, but it was fun.
That's probably because of her actress, Ariel Winter, going through puberty and... well just look up pictures.
I'm surprised this topic didn't exist! So what are your guys' opinions on Modern Family?
