There're several good costume mods out there, true, but all they do is enable Shep to use NPC models as civilian outfits while on the Normandy - there is currently no way of getting new models into either game, sadly. Proprietary modification of the format or somesuch. In any case, there's no business (or not) costume for Fem Shep, I'm afraid, as there isn't one in the game for any NPC.
I know you basically can't create from scratch, but I thought that maybe there is a way to, ah, modify clothing files so that they also fit the other gender. But it makes sense if it doesn't work that way. Though I guess even NPC clothes are better than friggen Cerberus uniforms! Like, most obviously, Alliance uniforms.

You could likely change the female Shepard Cerberus Officer uniform to look like Maleshep's suit.

I don't think anyone's actually done it, though.

About Virmire; it could just be that the Normandy isn't geared for orbital bombardment. Its only a frigate; not a dreadnought.

I'm not quite sure how bombardment from space (orbital would likely be too near) is any different from shooting other ships.

I'm thinking accuracy might be an issue.

Not against a stationary target. Well, the planet moves in its orbit and spin, of course, but that is very easily calculated and incorrigible movement, so de facto the target is as stationary as things can be in space. Now, against ships, yes. But if it keeps them occupied or even scares them off, then that is already and objective reached.

I say it's too deep and shielded for Bombardment the A As keep from lift but the Normandy was able to slip the net but it's landing attracted attention. Also, if they just blew it up then they would not have found out anything.

It's been a while but I remember that you went in not knowing the situation, and therefore had no reason to bombard. You flew in, dropped in the Mako, did some recon, and when you found the STG they tell you they need to wipe out a facility, too little too late with the Normandy already on planet and under the eye of the A As.

Edit: Just remembered, Shepard needed the becon*

, so nuking from orbit is meaningless at that point.

I thought the mission was just "STG wanted to tell us something probably related to Saren, go check it out." Once they saw a base they could've just started blowing it to hell but eh, either couldn't/wanted more info.

There was a beacon at Virmire, but capturing it I think was never an objective. The Normandy could have met the STG, picked them up, find a nice cozy place in space to sit around under stealth and started shooting the base. At least, that's how I see it.

But then the Reapers would have killed us all. They had to find out what was going on in there.

That was never an objective either, and happened rather by chance. And sure they found out some background about the Reapers, but they knew the basics already before. Most of Sovereign's talk was mytho-babbling anyway.

But without the Beacon they would not have found Illos.

[up] Unless you're into weapon modding, you get the ONE file which has all the costumes unlocked and leave it at that. I can share the one I'm using if you want to have it.
avatar: Tyyrlym [up][up]Yes please. Never saw a weapon mod that was worth the bother, and I'd have paid money for one that returned the old ME 1 style overheat mechanic.

Finished up my run through of ME 1 and WHY THE FUCK DID NO ONE HAVE THEIR OMNI TOOL RECORDING VIGIL!?! That still bothers the piss out of me. I just remember Illos being a hell of a lot harder my last play through, I'll chock it up to already knowing what I need to do exactly and just being better. Does anyone know the purpose of those geth armatures in the hanger bay when you're trying to open up the trench run? There's four of them, you can hack their control consoles and.... nothing.

If you activate them during combat with the geth forces present in the room, they join in on your side. Too bad that even on Insanity you can mow down the opposition on your own.

Dropped the mod file into the ME 2 thread to avoid confusion.

Thanks. How would you even get to them though, there's precious little cover in that room and two Geth Dreadnaughts and an Alpha along with a bunch of smaller guys. You go running for those consoles and you'll get murdered. Easier to pick everyone off from the entrance hallway.
