Diablo III

I mostly play when a new Season starts nowadays.

I pick it up every now and then. It's fun to party with friends.

I've been finding a lot of Unique items on my Crusader. :)

Ah, ah, ah. [raps knuckles] They are called Legendary items in D3. And they're much more randomized than Uniques in D2. D3 Legendaries have anywhere between 1 and 3 properties that always roll and the rest are random, just like rares.

Weren't Unique items in the previous two Diablo games also legendary?

That shade of orange didn't exist until World Of Warcraft.

Until then, the most powerful items in the game were Lime Green. Also Grey if you had perfect gems.

I thought Unique items were gold.

Yeah, they aren't the same shade as World of Warcraft Legendaries.

I've concluded that I might try Demon Hunter this coming season of Diablo 3, alongside Fighteer's crusader... and then I remembered this and this, which paint the Witch Doctor as a top dog and the Demon Hunter as bottom of the barrel. Not helped by a super hardcore player of everything in my class who also named that class garbage while painting the Wizard and the Witch Doctor as top dogs.

How true is this?

It's true only at very high levels of content: Greater Rifts of the 60+ (or even 80+) variety. It is true that Wizard and Witch Doctor are the only characters I've been able to run efficiently at GR50+, but I don't give a rat's ass about leaderboards and I don't invest nearly the time that the top players do in the game.

My Demon Hunter got to 64 solo last Season without trying, so it mostly depends on what you'd consider high-end. I usually stop caring about viability once I can do 50 solo, so...

I think that, if you asked the powergaming loons what viability meant, they'd reply back GR100, perhaps even under X time.

Defeating Azmodan on my Crusader last night made me feel like a Super Saiyan. Except for turning his hair completely blond and making energy balls the size of the Earth.

For some reason, Eirena didn't say that funny line that I liked this time. She was confused as to why there are so many walkways in Heaven when the angels have wings.

Bump. I find myself not liking Act V. It gets disconnected too often. x_x

Blizzard adding Facebook login and Facebook live streaming to its modern titles.

Looks like you'll be able to sign up for a battle.net account using Facebook Login and stream your games to Facebook's Live API.

It's a good thing the Crusader gets a Cool Horse. The Paths of the Drowned is too big. If I walked, the game would be over.

I heard one of the updates added a dungeon in where you have to fight Leah's soul, due to her being driven insane by Diablo's possesion at the end of the game. Is that true?

A pity if that's true, wasn't the quest to redeem her supposed to be a speculated expansion?

There is an encounter in Act IV with a demonic impostor masquerading as Leah and calling you out for letting her die, but it's an illusion. I have seen nothing else indicating Leah's fate in the released game.

Ah. Guess it was just a rumor then.

So I've gotten full Unhallowed Essence on my male demon hunter, Malachi, with Bane of the Trapped, Bane of the Powerful and Zei's Stone of Vengeance. I am currently rocking Torment X with my multishots and my Vengeance. As of right now, I am only missing two pieces of my endgame build aside from any Ancient items I may pick up, and that is the Bastions of Will set.

@Fighteer: Yep. Diablo was being a big, big meanyhead with that spectral illusion. There's a reason that little moment is under Kick the Dog.

I just won the game as my Crusader last night. It made me feel like a Super Saiyan. :)

Season 6 ends July 22. Be prepared when all your Seasonal stuff rolls over into Normal. Season 7 begins August 5.
