Yeah, but most of them are basically kinematics courses for all the CS majors that didn't take that (took a couple myself, and given my physics background it was rather trivial). Most of your game design experience is going to come from clubs and stuff, or independent screwing around in Flash — and heaven help you if you want to learn good compartmentalization and memory management. Even then an entry-level job at the lowliest of developers usually requires a few years of professionally using <INSERT LANGUAGE (usually C#)>.
Game design is basically a field you just kinda fall into after several years.

...isn't that the complete opposite of what people have been bitching about though?!?!
This has been exactly what people have been asking for...in fact, SE has always made many of their games unique from each other.
Compare the gameplays between 6 and 7...12 and it's sequel Revenant Wings.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."They're the "fanbase" of Square Enix. Don't think about it too much.
Wow, Now even Square Enix isnt saved from this
I see the "different style of gameplay" from most FF games as an improvement IMO

^^^^^ Uh, what does them reforming prove? Infinity Ward are back as Respawn, whats your point? All it says is the devs are still alive.
As for Joe being in Mvs C 3, I'm sure if Activision had a mascot fighter (featuring Car and Guy, I'm sure), they'd include an appearance from Guitar Hero.

Clearly you fail to grasp the difference between "shut down by penny-pinching execs" and "having your bonuses stolen from you and being forced to rush the latest installment in your IP out of the door."
And "Reality" is unveiled. What did it want...? What did it see...? What did it hear...? What did it think...? What did it do...?Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Viewtiful Joe screwed over by being a commercial flop?
#IceBearForPresidentPlus, Activision is known to be absolute dicks even to stuff they abandon and no longer have any relations with...
Can't help but feel sorry for Double Fine in this case...Brutal Legend could have been a decent game with enough support.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."^x2 It was technically a success. A very tiny, underwhelming success...
But yes, you're correct in your statement that Viewtiful Joe got shafted due to it not living up to Capcom's expectations.

And "Reality" is unveiled. What did it want...? What did it see...? What did it hear...? What did it think...? What did it do...?Final Fantasy VI vs Final Fantasy VII. That is all.
EDIT: OH GOD THE NINJAS ARE ALL OVER ME

Against all tyrants....yes they were two massively different games...I mentioned that before didn't I?
As for which one is better, it's YMMV...for 7, that game is the reason why SE is so popular in the west today, and that game had a lot of neat things for it's time. For 6...Gau!
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."NINJA THROWING STARS EVERYWHERE! DUCK AND COVER!
Against all tyrants.I'm just waiting for the inevitable hype backlash against FF 6 with the way people keep praising it as the high point of the series.
Er, that's long since happened.
You're a bit late for that.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahThis is kinda starting to remind me of the story of Westwood Studios' buyout by EA...
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelWait, what? Damn.
Okay, now what was the game that you're wrong if you like? Is it X now? I think its X now, I saw some pointless X bashing on Dorkly.
^ It's Final Fantasy, the general consensus seems to be that if you like them all, you're wrong.
And "Reality" is unveiled. What did it want...? What did it see...? What did it hear...? What did it think...? What did it do...?As a Persona fan, I can get behind that.
Fix'd.
Against all tyrants.Final Fantasy was always the best before [insert game here]. A corollary to that is if you're a first timer to the series, then it was at its best shortly before you started playing.
Clearly, if you start with FF I, then the series was always shit.
Well now we get to test that, as FF 1 and 2 are coming back.
Liked FF 7 and all their sequels and prequels
And looks like that I commited some kind of heresy
^x3 That's the whole appeal, bro.
^x2 Viewtiful Joe still makes appearances in Capcom properties, that's quite a difference from being outright discontinued. Also, as badly as Capcom screwed over Clover, they still did not get it nearly as bad as the folks at IW (heck, they're even back as Platinum Games).
