Does anyone know if the trailer music is an original work, or is it from a real band/composer?
And making the film a period piece was a good move, in my opinion.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they go with the 60s period. Also, I couldn't actually place most of the mutants the showed in the trailer, aside from Emma Frost, Cyclops, Beast, Mystique, and Pixie.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!I don't think it's cyclops but his brother Havok(probably won't be his brother in the film).
:)The blasts looked like they came from hands, so I think it's Havoc too.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Apparently, they're bringing in Nightcrawler's dad as a member. And by dad, I mean Azazel. Yes THAT AZAZEL.
Then again, they're obviously not using that dumbass backstory. Still, its funny he gets screentime. Its like Nolan bringing KG Beast to the Dark Knight Rises.
I also like to point out that Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw isn't going to sit well with me. Because Kevin Bacon in a Sebastian Shaw outfit, playing Kevin Bacon.

Ok that trailer actually looked pretty good. I'm optimistic about this.
Much as I love Kevin Bacon, I gotta agree (actually, for a minute there, I thought you said Kevin Smith, which makes even less sense).
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Since I don't particularly know what Kevin Bacon or Sabastian Shaw look like, I must have missed him in the trailer.
I know Azazel's the guy teleporting around in there, though.
I wonder who the random black person who got a second long focus is. Maybe a young John Wraith?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Anyone notice that they actually got a German guy (well, half German but he was born there) to play Magneto?
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/So what I got from that trailer is basically that the movie is all about Xavier and Magneto and their epic breakup.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.And I thought this was going to be bad. That trailer was pretty good, I especially like the Cold War stuff.
"Weird doors open. People fall into things."Anyone notice that Magneto is a Polish Jew?
I thought he was German.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I thought he was a Gypsy.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI think his wife was a gypsy, but I'm not certain.
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!I expect bad things. Not because the premise is bad, and not just because the last couple movies were bad. My concern is, both "the adventures of Xavier and Magneto" and "the tale of the first class of mutant students" would make for good movies. Putting them both together? Its overload.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comI'm looking forward to it.
All of time and space, anywhere and everywhere, any star that ever was. Where do you want to start? If The Last Airbender has taught us anything, it's that we should never trust a movie's trailer, regardless of how awesome it looks. That being said, I am honestly not sure what to make of the movie. I will probably catch it at the $3 theater.
This film could go so many ways. But according to the trailer, they're putting the focus on Magneto and Xavier, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Trailers will be trailers, though, and mislead us more often than not. (In response to the above post, I actually liked The Last Airbender, but I'm pretty sure that was just me. And the fact that I never saw the show.)
I'm a bit iffy on the James Mc Avoy is Xavier thing. I find him annoying. But Fassbender should be fun to watch, and I like the choice of January Jones for Emma Frost.
Space is the final frontier... and it is ruled by space monkeys! Mwahahahaha! As metaphysician stated, I'm worried about the movie because it seems to lack focus. Is this movie going to focus on Xavier and Magneto's friendship? Is it going to be all about the students? And there seems to be too much going on, giving me bad flashbacks from the 3rd X-Men movie.
I think even a Xavier vs Eric story is going to need a class there. Souls to be fought over,as it were.
Not *necessarily*, because the first souls they would fight over are each others and their own.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comWait, so is this a prequel or a reboot or what? Cause it shows clips from previous X-Men movies in the trailer, but then Mystique is in it, even though it's set in the 1960s and she's pretty young in the first X-Men movie. Also Beast is in it even though the Kelsey Grammar version is in his 40s at most...
My head hurts.
We must move forward, not backward. Upward, not forward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.
The first trailer is up!
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!
