Yeah, but I apoligized. I don't wanna make people upset anymore.
If we could let it lie, that'd be cool.
Yeah, it's cool. I was just surprised, that's all!
Okay time to head back to lurking in my favorite, most entertainment thread on TV Tropes. I'll get the popcorn ready and see how many posts I need to— 6 NEW PAGES!??!!?!? WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?!?!!?!?
I admit I was incredibly vindictive and needlessly angry. I just like Super Robot shows better when they're geared for a younger demographic, (as it personally means I'll be able to find the story more endearing.) rather than trying to appeal to older people who want to see sexulization and women in skimpy clothing, and really, really really hammy dialogue.

What's funny about that, is that TTGL was intended as a children's show when pitched! ...and at the risk of prolonging this derailed topic more, that's the last time I will post on this thread.
I mean younger than that. Though I do appreciate some more muture themes in the writing in places. I just could never get into the whole Studio Gainax thing.

If it makes you feel better the only Gainax release I liked is His And Her Circumstance :P
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. His And Her Circumstances? Never seen it, but I've heard it's a fairly typically plotted but well-crafted romance anime, nothing like Gainax's usual fare.
I ought to give it a look sometime.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Blasphemous
I guess that's why I like it XD
With that said, it still has that Mind Screw moments, but they actually make sense. Unlike some Gainax stuff, the acid trips aren't done to make the show look deep.

Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.Well, it's adapted from a manga, unlike Gainax's more well-known Anime First stuff.
I guess it is.I guess it's telling my favorite Gainax anime ever is Re: Cutie Honey.
The only Gainax series I've ever watched are TTGL and FLCL. Evangelion is really the only other Gainax series I'm interested in.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"My favorite Gainax series I've watched is Hanamaru Youchien.
But more importantly, I'm posting in this thread to ask how this thread managed to get to 15 pages.

Imagine Rakan applying Calling Your Attacks to doing paperwork.~Anarchy Rakan for the hell of it COMMISSION THIS BRIDGE!~EHKShrimpie needed it.
Also, I've never had so much fun making fun of someone.
"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."The number of people in this thread who haven't seen / aren't interested in Gunbuster is terrible.
I guess it is.Honestly, Gunbuster is on my list have I finish the Negima manga and Rahxephon. I've been hearing good things about that for while, but haven't had time.

No, I can't say as I've ever had that problem. Of course, I hated TTGL, so...
I have watched and liked Gunbuster. Jung Freud is my favorite part of it by far.
Never watched the sequel, since what I read up on it scared me away. Nono or whatever her name is sounds like a typical dumbass goody goody plot device-powered Idiot Heroine, and I'm not interested into that kind of characters.
Nono gets better, and Lal'C is cool enough to make up for her in the first couple episodes. Still, though, it doesn't have anything on the original.

I guess it is."Jung Freud"?????

"Sweets are good. Sweets are justice."It's Anno. What were you expecting?
What's precedent ever done for us?Well, compared to Gundam character names, Jung Freud seems pretty reasonable...
I guess it is.
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNG
I'm out for a day and five more pages?
