Annoski: A place where the natural energies of the world meet, this cathedral was built on one of them. As for who made it, no one knows.

Pica: <He sure does love to philosophize, doesn't he?>

Outside the Cathedral

- Umbra and co. arrive-

Lina: Well, here we are.

Gino: It smells like evil, nyan.

Umbra: Well, should we go in?

Orange Islands

Bozaka: -screeches to a halt midair again, stopping them- Teehee. :3

Despite being close to the ground, Lake continues clinging to Bozaka, frozen in shock. He takes a few seconds to catch his breath, then finally let's go, limbs off, then falls flat on his back, staring up at the sky.

Lake: <...Bozaka...if you don't mind me asking...do you have a death wish?>

- Following the others -

Goggles: (examining Wolf, randomly trying to check if about ten percent of his body is covered in ice)

Orange Islands

Bozaka: -to Lake- No, I just like the adrenaline rush. That, and the expressions on people's faces when I do that. :3

Lake: <...Oh, I see...>

The Feraligatr sits up, feeling calmer, but his heart still beating at rate that felt like it was about to burst through his chest. Jeez, that would be messy.

<So you love giving other Pokémon a fright, then. And here I thought only ghost Pokémon liked to do that.>

Outside Cathedral

Amanita: Of course we should.

Wondertomb: -Floats over- <My liege, the other ones have made it here.>

Annoski: Destroy them, leave no survivors.

-Pulls out his staff as his personal Spiritomb shows up-

I'll handle this one here.

Wondertomb: <Right, I'll ready the troops, sir.>

-Summons my Aura blade as the Wondertomb disappears-

Oh no you don't.

Annoski: -Summons some Wondertomb- It's just you and your mons,    there's no way you can stop me.   

-Notices something floating above me-

   Huh?   

As corny as I find it to say, my friends are my power, even if they're far away. I will stop you Annoski.

Muddy: <Yeah, together!>

Annoski: Fine then, let's see the power of your ideals!

Forte: <Did you want to get ambushed by Zubats all the way through?>

Sunny: <Oh, they're easy to deal with!>

-Pianis is talking on his Xtransceiver-

Pianis: You're kidding, right?

Candice: No, this actually happened! I was so amazed at it!

Pianis: Really? A Beautifly took out your whole team?

Candice: I know, right? That thing had some crazy luck with those Silver Winds.

Pianis: Candice, if that ever happens to me, please, just shoot me.

Somewhere in the colony, something like 14 days ago already

"<...Come on, harsher! Try to knock me down.>"

A Jolteon turns around to see his opponent hopping away on the grass; his spiky yellow fur cackling with electricity, Pierce is quick to follow and cut off Maekrite's escape path — not that he'd had to, the Nidorino was not to use it — and then Sand Attacks him, surprising him with the change of strategy. The Nidorino steps back and shakes his head, trying to clear his vision.

Pierce: <My turn now!> — grins and dashes towards Maekrite.

Maekrite (hey, that color again?): <...Oh?> — flickers ears — <Mind, you cut off my sight.>

The Nidorino steps back and swings his horn around, slowly walking in whatever direction and sniffing around; Pierce takes a couple of steps back, then rushes ahead and jumps to a rock and then up to a tree, before Maekrite can aim at him.

Maekrite: <Oh I think you went there!> — fires a Poison Sting barrage at like three trees away from where the Jolteon is.

Pierce: <[!]>

Trying to take advantage from his situation, Pierce leaps from tree to tree, firing Thundershocks at nearby trees to cause more noise; this distracts Maekrite for a good while as the Pokémon tries to clean himself up and fires another Poison Sting barrage at nowhere important.

After a moment, Pierce takes a big leap from his tree and lands a good distance behind the Nidorino; he amuses himself watching the Nidorino walk around aimlessly and then stoops ready to attack.

Maekrite -turns around slowly, cleaning his face off: <Somebody's a little light on his feet. What's your fighting name, the Fancy Bouncer?>

Pierce -sits proud: <Silly godfather, it's me, Pierce!>

Maekrite's ear turns in the Jolteon's direction and Pierce mentally facepalms; he barely has the time for a yip before he has to jump away, avoiding an Ice Beam headed in his direction.

Maekrite chases after for a short distance and fires another Ice Beam; however, Pierce, now more experienced, sidesteps it carefully and then uses the trail left by the attack to guide himself and fire a Thundershock at the Nidorino; the [pink]-not-[purple] mon tries to avoid it, only for it to hit his flank and make him falter.

Pierce: <This is my chance!>

Gathering his strength, the Jolteon rushes ahead, focusing his energy; before Maekrite can recover he is hit strong on the head by the Jolteon's forelegs, once and then once again, the second hit strong enough to leave a serious bruise; and although this does not make the Nidorino recoil or fall back, that is exactly what the Jolteon was expecting - nothing less from his big bro.

Because then Pierce opens his muzzle and starts exuding his poison as he lets himself be pulled back by the momentum; he assumes a hunching position for a moment and propels himself backwards a short distance and holds his breath, materializing a bubble of poison and Poison-type energy in front of himself. As he lands and looks above the bubble trying to aim it, Pierce loses control of it for a moment, but manages to recover and propel it towards Maekrite.

The experienced Nidorino, however, simply raises a paw and blocks most of the Sludge Bomb with it, although he still falls back to the grass due to the critical impact, and is forced to work his way to get himself back on his feet, grumbling.

Pierce: <It works~ it finally works! I didn't choke myself, big bro!>

Maekrite: <Silly Pierce... it's worked for like three days already...> — the Nidorino rubs himself against the grass to try and clean himself up — <But hey, now you managed to actually do the entire work while in battle.>

The Jolteon runs up to the Nidorino and hugs him, both Pokémon careful not to scratch, puncture, paralyze or poison each other.

Pierce: <I can has Sludge Bomb!!! And Double Kick too~> — frolicks around.

Maekrite -smiles: <You've progressed a lot, Pierce. I really hope Rex is going to feel happy about this.>

<...Ugh... I'm feeling pain in places I didn't know I had...>

Having walked along the creek for some distance and noticing that it turns towards the wouth, away from the Colony, [Teala] decides to climb up and take the road towards the thickets. This proves to be a nasty task though, since that area has a lot of small annoying features like allergen thickets and a particular variety of ivy that, for no particular in-universe reason, has a very dizzying scent.

It doesn't help that she still can't hear much more than a buzz and what appears to be the bristling of the trees.

<...I'm... Come on, I'm almost up there already...>

As she climbs up, Teala hears some voices rushing her way, and some others having just gone past her. She looks up to see some Pokémon walking towards the mountains, some Nidos, Rattatas and Zigzagoons among them. The others she manages to recognizes easily: they are the Sentret and Geodude that were in the mountains taking the pieces of rocks she demolished.

Teala: <...What are they... Hey, wait a moment...>

Teala blinks, shakes her head, which somehow makes her sight and hearing clearer, and now she can distinguish the sentences the Pokémon speak, as well as notice clearly yhat they are rushed to go somewhere.

Teala: <...I'm... I'm alive! ...Hey! down here!> — she calls with a roar (not a Roar!).

Random Geodude: <Oh, look there!>

Random Sentret Not Carrying a Flamethrower TM: <...The big dragon! Come, come!>

A small group of Pokémon with some Nidos among them surround Teala and help her climb up the steep, muddy terrain. A nidorino walks up to Teala, sizes her up and asks.

Nelki: <...Teala? What happened? What are you doing around here?>

Random Geodude: <Who did this?> — scratches one of Teala's wounds, causing her to wince.

Random Rattata: <...Hey!> — smacks the Geodude down.

Teala hesitates for a moment before starting to explain she was training on the mountains and that she was in a little skirmish. That however is enough to raise an uproar among the other Pokémon, who start wondering what happened.

Nelki: <There were those big tremors... Hamada was worried because he said you were still alone up here so I came in to check.>

Teala: <I'm fine,> — sighs — <I guess... Maekrite was a bit late... W-what about them?>

Random Sentret — points to the wild mons — <Oh, that means us? We were going to see if you were allright...>

Geodude stuck on the ground: <Yeah... oooof.... big dragons gives us [minerals]...>

Teala blinks and is about to say something when some of the Sentrets and Rattatas hop in to hug Teala.

Random Mons: <...ouch~>

The Druddigon blushes a bit (not that it could be noticed), tries to step back, to apologize herself, but the other Pokémon are happy enough that she has to settle to let them hug her. She turned her attention to the Nidorino and his explanation that the other Pokémon were worried that she'd have to fight an ugly monster alone, and Teala is about to explain that there was no monster, but as soon as she opens her muzzle she decides to let it pass until later.

Nelki: <Still, this looks pretty serious...> — checks some of the wounds, getting a Zigzagoon out of the way.

Random Zigzagoon: <...Oh! Some [leftovers]~> — picks them up and hurries away.

Nelki -frowns: <It was a big mistake for Maekrite to leave you alone. Who knows what could have happened if...> — shakes head.

Teala: <O-oh, but... no,> — blushes more, not that she can make it apparent beyond her Shy Finger-Twiddling — <n-not his fault, I'm sure... and can you little guys get down? Or you'll get your HP falter...>

Random Sentret: <...You were left alone? Against a monster? You are very very brave~>

Random Rattata: <Perhaps that monster was going to eat us whole!> — sobs — <I... i heard this story in the city about this wood monster with a mask that kidnapped Lugia and ate all the mons in the islands...>

The other Pokémon stare at the Rattata in silence for a moment. Then most of them gulp at unison and hug Teala closer, the younger of them crying and calling for their moms.

Teala: <...Kits wait!>

Random Mons: <...ouch~>

Teala sighs and starts delicately trying to get the wild mons off herself.

Nelki: <Hey, what about those stories, sesh?> — turns to Teala — <Anyway... I'll have Hamada talk to Maekrite later. He should be more responsible.>

Teala: <B-but no... no!> — hunches over — <N-Nelki... that went away, I am fine...> — she breathes as she realizes what she has just said — <Uhm... M-Maekrite... uh, you, you trained me for this. T-there was this fight and... the mountains are still here... I am still here...>

The Nidorino buffs and casts a half-Leer, enough to convince some of the wild mons to get off Teala and move away with small meeps. He starts citing some Owsla regulations, only to be met with the closest thing a Druddigon can pull to a begging face.

Teala: <P-please? I... I don't want to harm Maekrite. I did my job...>

Nelki opens his muzzle and looks down only to see a couple of Sentret trying to imitate Teala's puppy face. All they manage to come up with is something like <:3>, which is enough to convince Nelki that looking ungrateful before the other mons is not precisely a good idea.

Nelki: <...Fine, I'll let Hamada decide what to do once you give your report. Now let's go, you need [healing].>

Teala: <T-thanks... I... I think I am fine now...>

As the two Pokémon march away towards the west, followed by a group of wild mons talking about who knows what kind of world-nomming monsters, Teala gives her a brief moment to look back at the creek and the mountain behind her.

A sole Nidorino paces around, calmly cleaning the grounds just outside his burrow. He frowns at the dirt an rocks that a series of tremors earlier during the day have dislodged; of course he does, since it is his job to clean all that up.

But hey, he's got a lot of time and it counts as a good exercise.

Baluarkos: <♪~>

After he finishes brushing away some dust and pebbles, the Nidorino yawns, stretches and turns to the entrance of his burrow to go check the grass above it. When she is a couple of steps closer though he catches sight of something nearby and looks up to the right to see a mildly battered [Inka] climbing down a nearby rock. He sits and watches in silence as the Nidorina calmly walks up to him, breathing heavily and her eyes redder than usual.

Baluarkos: <...! I-Inka? What happened?> — walks up to her — <Are you fine?>

Inka -smiles: <I'm fine. I just went to exercise to the mountains...> — looks around.

Baluarkos -shies a bit as he pushes a pebble away: <Oh... oh, uhm, there were those tremors and I'm not finished cleaning yet...>

Inka: <It's OK, I was watching you clean it all up...> — walks closer and hugs the Nidorino — <I love it when you are dilligent...>

Baluarkos chuckles and is about to comment on something when Inka lovingly clamps herseld around his neck. The surprised Nidorino tries to turn his head and look up to his mate but finds himself in a headlock, Inka hisses, she won't let go easily.

Inka: <Rawr~>

Baluarkos: <...Rawr?>

Inka: <♥~>

Baluarkos -drops ears: <♥? Like, now?>

Inka: <Yup~>

Baluarkos -points to the rocks around: <B-but->

Inka -chokes him a bit: <I said ♥!>

Before the Nidorino can protest, Inka pushes him to the ground and then drags him to the burrow. Baluarkos digs his claws on the ground trying to resist and get away... just for a moment.

-In a weapon lock-

We've pretty much already won, even if you beat me, the others will finish the job!

Annoski: -Sends me back sprawling with a Dark Pulse-    It doesn't matter, I'll simply wait again! This defeat will only be a minor setback!   

Tropius: -Sizing up the Wondertombs- <How do we defeat these guys?>

Muddy: -Eyes glow blue- <Same as any other Spiritomb, really.>

-The Wondertombs start blocking the exit from the shadows-

Tropius: -Starts launching Worry Seeds everywhere- <COMPLETE GLOBAL ARENA SATURATION!!! Darn it, why didn't I think of using this weeks ago with those Infiltratomb?>

Garchomp: <It's hard to think when it's cold.>

-Launches into an Outrage-

Audilith: -Uses this opportunity to Stone Edge a Spiritomb- <You've been taking too much after Tagg lately, haven't you Tropius? Random ham is a thing he does.>

Cesar, having thrown an Air Slash that had no effect, instead charges the Wondettomb and attacks with his talons and beak.

Hunter throws an Iron Ball from his backpack at a nearby 'tomb.

The Obscura wizard has forced Tagg to confront him alone, at the top of the tower; however, the others have tracked him to the base and are fighting Wondertomb.

-the red color does nothing to calm the Scyther's anger, but she can't help but be reminded of the most recent time she stabbed a jerk for a meal... actually, she isn't sure what the last time was. They tended to blend together... there were a lot of jerks in the world, and she had only eaten a small fraction of them. Though she had at least put a dent in the Butwal population of jerks...-

-ah, Butwal... she could doodle fine then, but... they were just stupid scratchy pictures made with blood and berry juice on trees... they weren't any good, why did she ever think...-

Muddy: -Is now fighting Annoski's personal Spiritomb and an Armortomb with Forecaster and Sentinel- <Darn it, stay still!>

Armortomb: -Uses Shadow Sneak to trip Sentinel- <Oops. That wouldn't have happened if you hadn't been so clumsy.>

Sentinel: -Leaves a crater in the ground- <I have had it!>

-Dynamic Punches the Amortomb so hard that he gets knocked through the floor-
