-A peon from the APC ambush is attempting to flee down a side alley-

So there I was, with my prize right before me to get stabbed like a Grumpig when...

-Notices DS in a rather precarious position, as a wall of fire erupts to prevent Jayna and HotStuff from getting any closer-

I knew that if I let Tokarev go, he'd use that pod to get away and cause a lot more misery. DS in that case could be considered a... necessary loss. But at the same time, DS was my friend who'd never given up on me even after nearly everyone else wanted nothing to do with me... It was at that moment I realized how far I'd fallen that I'd actually have to think about rescuing one of my friends, no matter how despicable Tokarev was...

Fuck...

-And runs to DS' position-

DS, I'm coming!

-Diesel finds himself in a room with a pair of Hariyama-

-and begins to play a song, that, to Hoenn natives, can be quite dangerous-

Diesel: <I suggest you begin dancing. I'll only speed up if you don't.>

Duke just stays next to Herbert, letting out a sigh, Lyuri then looks at him, with a look of clear pity

"... I'm so sorry, it's all my fault that you're like this. If I didn't let Allen manipulate me like he did, I could've avoided so much... I know I've scarred you in many ways, but I promise I'll make up for it. I'm going to do everything I can so that Allen gets what he deserves but... Duke remains silent, just standing there in case Herbert needs him, Neon is pretty much lost.

- Glances upwards, still trying my hardest to hold onto the wall -

(thinking) Ugh, it's so hot... I wonder what's going on up there?

- Hears Tagg -

T-Tagg...? Is it over...? Did you manage to...?

Psyche looks at him and blushes. ~Well, I guess... I'm the only one that knows... How I feel about Crewe... How she's smart, and pretty, and... I'm sorry, but... I feel things about her that...~

-Herbert gives Lyuri an almost confused look, then takes a deep breath, calming himself for several moments until his breathing eventually becomes steady. Bishop places a claw on his shoulder.-

Herbert: ...Thanks.

-He glances around.-

Herbert: Are there cabins or something aboard this thing? I know that's kind of a stupid question to ask since I'm the one who knows it best but it's changed a bit after six hundred years of renovations.

-Diesel is now standing over the two Hariyama. Though both seem fine, neither appears able to move their legs, and as such aren't doing much-

-Diesel Brick Breaks the door, which caves inwards-

-and is caught by a Psychic, crumpled into a ball, and propelled back at Diesel-

-Artemis and Straw run into the room-

Taylor:-weakly- It's alright...you all need to go. Take my Pokemon and leave this place.

Artemis:-shakes her head- >No..I won't leave you here...>

Taylor:-pets Artemis- You're going to have to leave me...I'm already dying anyway.

Aurora, pick up Taylor.

-Aurora does so while Straw sends out Europa as the building begins to shake-

Taylor:...What are you doing?

You may be dying, but I'm not leaving you here. Neither is Artemis.

-Straw quickly hops onto Europa, recalls his Pokemon, and flies out with Artemis and Taylor. As they fly away, Cipher Key Lair's connecting tunnel collapses, and the building plummets into the lava-

Artemis:-is keeping a close watch on Taylor, whose condition is steadily worsening-

"Joe... I don't need you to sympathize. I need to put it away. I want to be free from battle, from a constant struggle."

He smiles.

"What I've been doing... is surviving."

He kisses Joseph.

"I want to live."

J-Jacob gave me back Balthazar and I-Ivy suggested I go talk to her kids to join up with you guys since I won't be able to live anywhere else. I-I'm the one who disabled the security in here for you guys and I helped DS and Tagg find Tokarev...!! S-So you d-don't need to kill me..! Even if I deserve it... I-I know what I did was wrong but please... I was just given a chance to do something with my life... a-and you're not the kind of person who'd kill me anyways, right?"
