-Sabaku pulls out the good vellum again as he writes down a quick letter.-

Sabaku: Here you are. Give Sir Lucanus my regards.

-Brandon bows, and takes the message.-

Brandon: Of course, my lord. We shall depart at once. Sumac?

Sumac: <You know, historians say that the first ever castles were made out of wood, but if that's the case, then why do you only ever see stone castles? I think that there's something they're not->

Brandon: Sumac. Come.

-Sumac grumbles as Brandon leads him back to Pugilis.-

Aiura saunters over to Lucanus. "I assume all is good news so far?"

Pugilis - Around 600 years ago

-Lucanus gives a small sigh.-

Lucanus: Good morning to you, Aiura. No news as of yet, I am afraid. I suppose it is rather unreasonable to expect this game of politics and alliances to be over with quickly, but I am keen to establish a firm power base before-

-He is interrupted by Brandon entering the room.-

Brandon: My lord? Terrera have sent their reply. Sabaku sends his regards.

Lucanus: Ah, excellent! Give it here, I will have a read. You are dismissed, Sir Brandon.

-Brandon nods, hands Lucanus the scroll, then leaves the room. Lucanus reads the message for a moment, then his face splits into a wide grin.-

Lucanus: Capital! Terrera have agreed to formalise our alliance, as well as sever all diplomatic ties with Spectra. Our cause grows in strength by the hour! He is uneasy about reports of aggression from Fontaine, however... I suppose that is not an immediate issue, but I am keen to avoid conflict at this moment.

Aiura grins. "That's fantastic! Fontaine is troubling, but a minor worry indeed. And of course, this means that in order for the rest of Ransei to mobilize, they will have to pass through us." She sighs. "I think this deserves a celebration~ Hmm... But how... I've already given my workers the day off..."

Pugilis - Around 600 years ago

Lucanus: We could hold the celebration here in Pugilis. Our shortage of food could be an obstacle, but of course, there are other ways to celebrate than feasts.

-Revan gives an unamused blink.-

Lucanus: We could hold another tourney - after all, we are a nation famed for its warriors. A festival is another option, and would also help to increase public morale. Unless you would prefer something more private?

-Revan gives another umamused blink.-

Lucanus: ...What?

Revan: ~...I'm not even going to say anything.~

Lucanus: Revan, that is logistically unfeasible.

Revan: ~...And once again, the point sails over your head like a Pidgey fired from a catapult.~

Lucanus: I suppose I could ask a few of my advisers at court for suggestions, but Ayame is away, Brandon never voices his own opinion and I can make a fairly good guess at what Takuma would say to the idea of a festival. I should probably get a court jester or something. Who would have thought that Warriors of Pugilis could be rather glum at times?

-The entire group is exhausted after running through the Ergon Plains, constantly harassed by River Clan warriors.-

Hildr: <Those guys were mean!> <=(

Princess Devilotte: <Indeed. They usually aren't that aggressive.>

Captain: <Maybe something has them riled up?>

Gladius: <Why am I always running from something?!>

Princess Devilotte: <I'm tired. Actually... it looks like everyone else is, too. Let's go ahead and set camp early.>

Sage, being a Grass type, was pretty much unfazed by the River Clan warriors.

<"Heh. Nice kitties back there.">

Aiura giggles. "Indeed. I enjoy a lot more subtle humor than I assume you would enjoy. And so do most of my people, so perhaps it would be best to hire a court jester from another territory."

Holon City Outskirts

-Hildr, being a Ground-Type, faired fair worse than the more experienced and type advantageous Sage.-

Hildr: <Ouchie... why did they go after me so much...?>

Gladius: <Those Seed Bombs of yours have a way of grabbing attention. Where did you learn to do that anyway?>

-Hildr tilts her head in confusion.-

Hildr: <I thought all Phanpy could do that. They all do where I'm from.>

Gladius: <And where, pray tell, is that?>

Hildr: <The Rugged Mountains, in the Dream World.>

-The group pauses for a second, not entirely sure if Hildr is lying or not.-

Lucanus: Perhaps. But the matter of who to employ as my court jester can wait until later. Who knows, it could even be a use for Celzvet. For now, we have a celebration to be attending to!

Revan: ~You still haven't decided on appropriate festivities.~

Lucanus: Give me a minute, I'll think of something.

-Revan sighs.-

Revan: ~I will tell the cooks to have dinner ready for the Warlord and his consort whilst you deliberate, then.~

-Puts the Adamant Orb away the moment I see Herbert stir-

Are Ammy and Issun up yet?

She mentally huffs. ~I'm HIS consort? If anything, he's mine.~

She thinks a bit more. "I do think a festival is in order. That's it, we'll have a week-long festival for the union of our four territories. Nothing big, just a feast every day for every member of the kingdoms."

-The group jumps in unison as their frayed nerves finally snap. They frantically look around for the sound of the noise while Captain and several Pawniard surround the Princess... a little too closely.-

Princess Devilotte: <Mmrph mph!>

Captain: <Don't worry Princess, we'll protect you!>

Hildr: <Hello? Who's there?>

At least now we have those food reserves from Illusio - oh wait, except we don't, because you ordered everyone in your kingdom to take a day off. Truly, this is a bureaucratic pileup the likes of which has never been seen before.~

Lucanus: Erm... yes, that could be an issue.

Revan: ~Without wishing to over-excite either of you, I'm sure they still have enough food left to put together a candlelit dinner, though.~

-If they were to approach the sound, they would find a bunch of trees with small scorch marks on them, along with a teenage boy with similar scorch marks on his hands.-

Aiura simply grins. "There is enough food in storage to last 3 months in siege. As if a nation of Teleporters could be held under siege. But you can never be too safe. Though a candlelit dinner will still not be refused~"
