Me: I have, where are you going with this?

Kirlia: <I'm saying, you're due for something bad any time now. And I want to help.> -Stands up- <And the only way I'm going to be able to do much about it is if I->

Me: -Interrupting- -Become a Gardevior...

Kirlia: -Simultaniously- <-Become a Gallade!>

Me: What?

Kirlia: <I shall become a Gallade to help you with whatever dangers you may face!>

Me: You are female, right?

Kirlia: <Yes.>

Me: Then that's impossible.

Kirlia: <Who says?>

Me: Everything known about Ralts-line biology.

Kirlia: -Striking a dramatic pose- <Then I shall prove them wrong!>

Me: -Facepalms- This going to be problematic...

Tangelo Island

Silent decides to no longer pursue the issue of Masque, and instead turns to Rex.

"Do you think it is time for us to return to the Pokecenter? Or perhaps you'll want to stay in the wilderness?"

Meanwhile, Maekrite notices the Bounce.

Maekrite — <Don't worry, we're only sparring!> — dashes in so that Lian lands on the shorter spikes.

- Clears my throat -

Jab: <Is there something behind me?>

Slam: <Hey, we're in Hoenn...>

I just thought there was something you guys should know, even if I'm not quite sure how we'd deal with the situation...

Lian: *bounces off of Maekrite and is poisoned* <Whoa...funny colors~> *staggers around dizzily*

Rex: We can go to the Center if you want. I don't want you to feel that you have to adjust your plans to accommodate me.

-pales- ....Last time I remember you saying that, Cyrus broke out. What happened this time?

Jab: <Huh?>

-Leaving the group, and going a short distance over to Francis-

<Kat: "What on earth was that about?!">

<Francis: "He didn't want to talk, and I didn't want to answer. So I left. The end.">

<Kat: "You were curt to him when he tried to say hello! Are you surprised that this turned out this way?!">

<Francis: "So what?">

<Kat: "Would you have treated him that way if he were a fellow Delta?">

<Francis: "If you must know, yes! Yes, I would have!">

-Kat is taken aback by this statement-

<Kat: "... But why?">

<Francis: "Because the only Pokemon and people that want to get to know you in life are the ones who see something in you that they want to use for their own ends. Heck, look at how that idiotic plot I was involved with was run!">

<Kat: "That's insane! Haven't you ever had any friends? Or what about family?">

<Francis: "Yes, because Ledyba swarms are so intimate... And who needs friends?! They make you feel like you're someone special and pretend to care about you! So you end up caring about them back... Exposing yourself... And then getting HURT when they wind up leaving you or showing their true colors! Screw it! I'm better off without them!">

<Kat: "... Then why are you here?">

<Francis: "To watch your human's lofty and inane babble come down crashing and burning. I'm leaving the moment that happens.">

<Kat: "... I don't know what to say, Francis... But may the gods help you if you meant all of that...">

-And returns back to the group, leaving Francis to brood-

<Zoltan: "Wait, what happened?">

<Kat: "Don't worry about it.">

Crewe, spotting a crowd of familiar heads, grabs her Pokemon, and heads over.

"Hi, guys."

-Fool landed in Littleroot, made her way up Route 101 (and caught a few Pokemon) and is now in Odale Town-

Hatbox: These Hoenn peoplemons seem to be a lively bunch

You see, I received a phone call from Looker earlier. It turns out that Charon, a former Team Galactic scientist has been broken out of jail. We don't know who broke him out, or why.

...Oh.

That's kind of a relief...

Crewe shrugs. "'Kay. Let's go kick his butt."

She suddenly remembers she only has four young Pokemon on her at the moment.

"... Actually, I may not be able to help much with that."

-Fool is wandering around Odale Town-

Anyways, as Charon never actually challenged me to a battle, I do not know which Pokémon he has, if any. What I do know is, he was only in Team Galactic for the money. I assume he hasn't changed much, and will supply the highest bidder with his technology.

"Hey, we have plenty of assumably talented trainers right here! There isn't anything to worry about right?"

Sounds like he won't be too much of a challenge. Who knows? Maybe all it will take is a Pokemon battle. I miss the days where that's all it took.

Katie: -looks confused, and turns to Crewe for an explanation-

Two Nights Ago, On Quest Island

<Babel Stone: "... I suppose that he could travel with you... Provided that he returns from time to time... But... Let me give him some things before he embarks on this journey...">

Yeah, but... it is still worrying that we at the moment do not know where he is, or who he might be working for.

But, as soon as we figure that out, dealing with him shouldn't be too difficult.

Noticing Katie's confused look, she decides to explain. "Um, all my Pokemon are gone. Except Dana, Nova, and two Pokemon I caught recently."

Amberjack peers out from between Crewe's legs, and Kelly's Ultra Ball rattles violently.
