-Michelle looks around to see that once was a thriving town is now littered with dead bodies, Young and Old, Pokemon and Human. she knows that Die's forces are too powerful to fight off in this condition.-

<Michelle>: -After finishing off a Zoroark with her Kukuri- <R... RETREAT!>

-The rest of the Battalion stare at Michelle for a split second-

<Michelle>: <You heard me! RETREAT!>

-The Pokemon around her obey her orders as what remains of battalion dart off in different directions and slip into various tunnels-

<Die>: <Heh heh heh... AH HAH HAH! O' MY BROTHERS! WE WON! THE LAST MAJOR RESISTANCE FORCE IN UNOVA HAS FALLEN INTO SHAMBLES!>

-Die's forces start to break out in laughter as Die start to examine the dead bodies that litter the place-

<Die>: <WE HAVE DESTROYED THEM TO THEIR CORE! WE SUCCEEDED>

-Snowman warps to the top of a destroyed hut and starts clapping-

<Snowman>: <Very well done Die~, such a marvellous performance you put on there~! How many did you loose~?>

<Die>: <TEN OUT OF A FORCE OF NINETY MA'AM>

<Hydreigon>: <11 if you count my left head...>

<Snowman>: <Mistress Sol will be very pleased with you~. I have the entire battle recored in my memories as proof of our success~. In the meantime, however, I believe we shoulkd head home~>

-Snowman clicks her fingers as the lot of them are warped back to Undella Town. Now only the dead remain in this place-

Tracer's Track

Look at you, soaring through the air majestically, like a Braviary. Piloting a blimp.

-the next room features a pair of Portal Guns, one sized for Iron Marrow-

Tagg's Track

-the exit door is located on an upper level, surrounded by portal-able walls-

Your partner is waiting for you in the next test chamber. We think. He has developed reclusive habits as of late; perhaps you can encourage him to come out of his shell.

-Maekrite looks down the orange well-

—Maekrite, come in here! — he climbs to my shoulderpad — I'm gonna jump down to the blue portal as it appears. When we emerge, we'll be actually facing this room from the orange one there.

Maekrite — <Sweet! it's like teleport for humans!> — looks at me — <What do I do?>

— You jump to the rope as soon as we appear from the orange well; that is, as soon as you see the rope suspended ahead you.

Maekrite — <Right!>

-We jump down the blue Nidoran hole; as we appear and fall "up" the air from the orange portal, Maekrite jumps ahead towards the rope, but he misses it by a fair distance; meanwhile I fall through the same portal again and appear falling "up" from the same blue portal,, now positioned beyond the glass panel, allowing me to reach the Portal Gun.

— ...That was unexpected...

-I retrieve the PG and return to the center of the room, where Maekrite is still meeting the concrete. He stands up and stares at me-

Maekrite — <You suck at this! I jumped into the floor!>

— Hey! — raise gun-wielding arm — I got the gun. Thanks for your help though...

-I pet him behind the ears-

Maekrite (climbs to my shoulderpad) — <How does that thing work, anyway?>

— Well, it shoots interconnected portals... you walk or fall into one and appear where the other is.

Maekrite — <So, wait> — frowns — <it essentially allows you to shoot at where you want to teleport through?>

— ...It seems so. We'll have to test it later. Hone your claws in the meantime.

-We go through the door-

-Sol is still playing her Harpsichord when Snowman appears in front of her-

-Stops playing- Hello Snowman. What news do you bring for you to be out of the Midori Room?

<Snowman>: <I bring the news that Die has sucessfully destroyed the Pinwheel Forest Resistance Base~ In all of the fighting, he only lost 10 mons in a brigade of 90~ A rather impressive feat, do you agree~?>

-Sol smirks-

So, the last resistance force has been demolished, and I'm the one who claims the title.

<Snowman>: <Yes Ma'am~>

-Sol cracks her fingers-

Send a message to Mezzo of Black City. Tell her, that "You needn't send any troops to Pinwheel Forest anymore. For not only has my force taken it, they destroyed it with only loosing 10 mons in a force of 90. I told you not to underestimate me, for I am more powerful than I seem."

<Snowman>: <That's the message~?>

Yes, Snowman. That's all there is, there isn't any more.

<Snowman>: <I understand~. Well, see you later Mistress Sol~>

-Snowman warps away to Black City to give the message to Mezzo-

(Thinking) And everything will be fine and dandy like wine and candy from here on out...

-Sol returns to playing the Harpsichord-

-Shoots an orange portal near the exit door after having Nudi and Vanilluxe make an ice block about the size of a cube-

Now let's go.

-Nudi, Vanilluxe, and I walk into the next room-

Vanilluxe: -Looks around- <Wow.>

-The area looks like something out of Test Chamber 5-

Well, this won't take too long.

-Notices that part of the wall looks like it's been moved-

Huh? It looks like that partner of mine has been through here already.

-The chamber has a very deep pit in the center with a staircase in front of the exit door, which is elevated. Above them is a slanted portal surface.-

So...I've finally cracked. I'm planning on going out tomorrow and buying Portal 2.

I don't want Steam. I prefer to have hard copies of my games.

I see, maybe there is a retail, not orange box copy of Portal out there.

Amazon has one. I probably won't be getting it any time soon though. I don't mind too much though.

Oh...oh, of course! Hahaha! You really thought I'd fall for that trick? This letter is obviously made up. There's no way she could have taken down the entire base with only 90 mons.

Maekrite — <I definitively can't make that jump...>

-I look around, noticing the slanted surface on the ceiling-

— Perhaps we don't have to, Maekrite. Come look here.

-Maekrite and I stare at the thing; after that he grows a bit nervous, claiming he can't reach that either, and starts mumbling-

— What is going on? — I ask while I check the portal gun.

Maekrite — <It's just... these memories... All of this...> — sniffs, flattens ears — <I can't believe this happened... and I-I... for some reason I feel like I won't be able to make this, to recover them...> — starts crying.

-I crunch to pick Maekrite up and hug him-

— Ssssh.... — cuddling him — It's the juvenile body speaking, Maekrite. You are feeling the world through a Nidoran♂ body now... Trust me... I've been there.

Maekrite — <Silent... I feel weak.>

- You have NO WEAK. The Colony chose you, in both timelines, and we both know why. I need you to stay with me. With or without this gun, there are things a human can not do. I might need your help.

-Maekrite clings to my chest and nods, I decide to let him be-

— Now... let's see if I understood how is this thing supposed to operate

-I approach the pit, aim the gun up to the slanted surface and press the trigger to shot a Orange Portal, as expected. Then, I aim the gun down about the same angle, plus an extra, which falls long below the end of the staircase, and shoot a Blue portal.-

Maekrite — <It's too low...! We won't...!>

— Sssh! I'm sure this will work! Hang on!

-I take some impulse and leap away, falling thru and reaching the blue portal, falling through it; next I see is me approaching the staircase from above, so I try to hang to it; I barely manage to make it with help of the suit's armpads, which seem to have some magnetic properties-

— Phew...

-We reach to the door, and I pet Maekrite and sit him on my head before going thru-

This isn't happening...since when did her mons learn to actually fight?

Helios: <I don't know Wolf, Tagg never had the time to take us to the HQ, though I have a feeling that it wouldn't make much of a difference. Sorry about your eye.>

-Snowman smirks at Mezzo and Felis-

<Snowman>: <They have always been able to fight~ They have just been... misused~>

-A Hydreigon sets a hut on fire, people and Pokemon start running out of the flames before catching alight themselves-
