I'm not a new trainer, but I'm starting over from mostly sctratch in this region. I can still access my old team in an emergency, and I'm starting out with my Duskull here.

Juniper: Snivy sure is popular with all the new trainers coming through here. I can barely keep ahold of them! Now, let me see... -rummages through the Pokeballs on her desk- Ah! Here we are! Two Snivy! -hands Balls to Gamer and Jane- I hope I have some left in there...

Anyway, I know that you're probably not "new" trainers, but we do things a bit differently here in Unova than you're probably used to. If you don't want a Pokemon, you don't have to take one, but you do need new Trainer cards if you want to be licensed to train in Unova.

Juniper: Ten? So many! You'll be just fine out there. I don't like sending trainers out on their own. It can be dangerous in Unova. There are some nasty Pokemon out there.

And Anom. I would be careful when handling him if I were you. Karrablast have an unnerving tendency to use Bug Buzz without warning.
