Actually yes, Chicken is a term used to collectively describe a special type of grounded avian pokemon that have the ability to lay unfertilized eggs. It's not a word you use very often in conversation though.

Portales: <Hi guys! Did you see me yesterday? Um, I mean, I didn't see you in the audience or anything, so I thought maybe... you... didn't see?>

Never heard that term before. Jane spent her whole life on a Torchic farm; would she know?
