-and kicks off the ground, arcing into the air like a rocket before leveling out-

Brie: It's always fun seeing how different fliers take off, right?

Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.

-Kai squeaks and clings tight as they take off, giggling-

Kai: Yeah, definitely. Usually, Spectrum is my only reference point, so taking off like a rocket rather than just catching the air and hovering like she does is kind of exciting!

The world reluctantly materializes. It seems that Tagg surfaces in shallow waters. A beach, and then a horizon...

What constructs itself around him is a tiny island surrounded by still silver waters for presumably miles around. It is heavily forested, trees packed like canned fish. There is barely a tide, the water is so calm. Clouds stretch across the severely dull, sunless sky and the breeze is just noticeable.

It's quiet - no birdsong or other signs of life, just lapping water and rustling leaves.

Not far in the distance lies a larger island, crowned with jagged mountains and a ring of thick clouds at the peak. Besides that, focusing on one of the multitude of hazy land-like shapes in the distance is impossible, as they are vague and dissipate easily.

A reddish mote of light flickers into place in front of Tagg, then whimsically floats around the beach at eye height.

Brie: -giggles- Glad you like it! Halcyon's a lot smoother, but he can't take two people.

-no longer accelerating, she places her palms on Atlantis's shoulders, applying slightly more pressure with one or the other to guide-

Brie: So, I pretty much just passed through here to battle the Gym, which means you're in charge of navigation! Lead the way, Kai~

-a figure emerges from the forest on a hill - It's a man in lithe emerald spiked armor fashioned from some sort of reptile, and a massive Politoed mask that obscures everything but his green eyes peering through the mouth. A fancy wooden bow and shield lies across his back. He waves down with one spiny gloved hand-

Man: Halloo there. Another explorer? You have that look, if I may say so.

-Her miniature counterpart, however, has a strange... ball of some kind. It hovers in her hands, and looks a lot like a chibi-fied Magnemite. White lightning sparks from it as it hovers above the Whismur's hands.-

Man: This? This island right here? -pauses and scratches head- Uh, well, I live here, but I just think of it as my base, never gave it a name. Actually, I was just about to sail out - A bad hurricane hit about a week ago, and I'm worried about my friends there. Plus, maybe I'll find some treasure... Er, speaking of sailing, I don't see a boat. Did you swim all this way?
